Everything is always a conspiracy theory, until it’s not.(snip)
David McIntosh the president of the Club for Growth lobbying group that represents the interests of U.S. multinationals and Wall Street finance players, has organized another “donor retreat” session; where ‘donor retreat’ is the assembly of the Republican big club operatives who manipulate and control the Republican big club candidates, aka the establishment.
The multinationals, led by CfG, are assembling to coordinate plans with, Nikki Haley, Tim Scott, Mike Pence, Glenn Youngkin and Mike Pompeo.
Being invited....not news.
Now if he goes, THAT will be breaking news and will make it much easier for anyone on the fence.

So what's the Big Deal if DeSantis joins all the Others at the Retreat? He's entitled to hear what they have to say. Seems to me he is going to have to have Donors just like the rest of the Candidates, including Trump. Why jump all over DSantis for doing exactly what all the other Potential Candidates are doing? It's going to be a Race and the Best Candidate will run for President, that includes Trump who many seem to think should walk in and take over without anyone running against him. I think we should let the Voters decide!

What is the policy problem that Club For Growth has? Is it tariffs? Something else? These are good faith questions.

DeSantis thinks he has the best shot at taking out Trump and he’s probably right.

I don’t understand why Sundance dislikes DeSantis so much. Hell he takes on everybody and wins. Biden, Faucci, teachers unions, Disney, schools, planned parenthood….I’m sure I’m missing something. Big pharmacy. I’d be happy if he was my President. I voted for Trump twice and will a third time if he’s the nominee but they will never let him win.

The Conservative Treehouse and Sundance have been spot on about almost everything about the GOPe. I like DeSantis, but if anyone thinks WE the people get to chose our President any longer, they are delusional. We are force fed thru the compliant media who the donor class wants us to like. And it’s not MAGA. Trump may have his faults, but no one should question his love of our country and doing what’s best for America. The rest have sold their soul to the donor class and the establishment that controls them. Ever ask why they fight against him so hard?

In other words, anyone but Trump.
In other words, anyone big-money thinks they can control.
If they were looking out for the country, I'd be OK with the big-money types.
Problem is they are millionaire and billionaire looters.
They are wrecking the country.
And they are in control.

I have a theory. The GOPe wants anyone but Trump. They hated him so much for ruining their party at the trough that they even went along with obvious dem vote fraud to get rid of him. I think they have an understanding with DeSantis, or are hoping to have one. They are willing to let a little of the MAGA agenda happen, but nothing that will stop their side hustles. They think they can make that deal with the governor. I don’t know if they can, but anytime you take money from these people, you have made a pact with the devil. It’s just that simple. Maybe the governor thinks he can do a workaround. Maybe he feels a little MAGA is better than nothing. I’m trying to give DeSantis the benefit of the doubt because I like what he has done for Florida. But, the optics are not good.

In living memory, there has not been a single politician who went to Washington and left poorer, except one. If you cannot understand or value what that means, nothing you say against Donald Trump has any meaning.

Speaking off the cuff, I’d imagine that if there was a deep forensic search into Trump’s donors, there would be names that would make many here shriek.

If Club for Growth thinks we are going to support or vote for anyone but President Donald J. Trump, they are dreaming!
And if Governor DeSantis thinks he can woo away Trump supporters/voters, he is delusional!
Personally, we believe that 4 year presidential term that was stolen from President Trump is still there in D.C. waiting for him
to fulfill.

If we continue to say we’ll only vote for Trump and everyone else is a rhino, you might as well continue hearing the words President Biden in 2024.

But if he DOESN'T go, the GOPe will be looking for a different candidate. Which is worse?
