Bryan Kohberger, the criminology student arrested and charged with four counts of first-degree murder and felony burglary connected to the quadruple slaying of four University of Idaho students, may be signaling an intent to plead not guilty. Kohberger is currently represented by public defender Jason LaBar in Pennsylvania, who is handling the extradition order. LaBar told CNN that “Mr. Kohberger is eager to be exonerated of these charges and looks forward to resolving these matters as promptly as possible,” he said, forecasting that Kohberger intends to plead not guilty. Moscow police have been unable to disclose what evidence they have against Kohberger that led to the arrest due to pre-trial

Is it relevant to the motive? Were the girls lesbian? I read they were sleeping together in the same bed at the time of the murder. But the boyfriend and girlfriend were also murdered. So why print the accusation?

Megan Fox takes three NYT reporters to task for publishing a lesbian fellow student’s accusation that he made anti-LGBetc remarks but wouldn’t say what they were because they “made her uncomfortable”. Fox thought that was wrong. That only verifiable statements should be reported/published. I agree with her. The LGBetc’s are far too sensitive and this guy deserves a fair trial in the court of public opinion. Fox is an excellent, very ethical journalist.

It looks like the LBGT folks are putting waaaaaay to much into "Two of the girls were in one bed" aspect of the story, those same girls had a history of "Boyfriends" including BOTH of them calling the ones near lifelong love interest many times in their boozy, just left the bar, last hours. This suspect wasn't running around a strange, small, town peeping in 3rd floor windows trying to find a same sex couple to "Randomly" attack...

I've shared a bed more than once. There were 8 of us at a convention packed into a room and 1 room is a lot cheaper than 4-8 rooms. Maybe they were lovers, maybe not. Either way printing that accusation is ridiculous and the usual bad journalism. We'll find out later he's a FTM transitioner, lesbian, and trans activist. Then this entire story will vanish from the msm.

FTA: "who went to high school with Kohberger and described him as a socially awkward kid who didn’t understand social cues and often offended people without knowing it. She also said that he was treated poorly by female students." How is this unverified statement any different than the one claimed about LBGQetc? No examples of socially awkward statements were given, same as the LBGQetc claims. Seems to me that the author is committing the same poor reporting style as the one she is accusing Rachel Sun of committing.

They say that like it's a bad thing. I care nothing about LGBTQ rights beyond the rights that everyone else enjoys but I don't go around murdering people. Who sleeps with whom is none of his business. Of course he will plead not-guilty, that's what guilty people do.

Moving on, the leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats, once the claims of anti-LGBTQI comments made by the suspected perpetrator run their course in the media, that politicized attempts will then be made by leftist Democrat operatives and the liberal media, to pin the suspected perpetrator as being both an extreme MAGA supporter, and also a Trump supporter, without any evidence being present relating to those supposed factors.

Why did Republicans underperform during the 2022 mid-terms? That question has become a near-constant point of contention on the right. Was it a candidate quality issue? I’d argue that was certainly the case in several high-profile races, but that’s obviously not the only thing that plagued the GOP. There was also a lack of coherent messaging from leadership, and in many important races, Democrats were simply able to outspend their opponents by large margins. The RNC’s inability to harvest votes and bank early votes didn’t help either. Donald Trump is looking elsewhere for an explanation, though. In an eyebrow-raising rant on Sunday, he appeared to blame pro-lifers for GOP woes.

Banking giant Wells Fargo has made a 2023 prediction: the Walt Disney Company, which abruptly brought back former CEO Bob Iger to reverse the woke company’s rapid downward spiral late this year, will end its ownership of TV networks ABC and ESPN. Bank analysts are predicting that some of the “big changes” Iger promised to initiate will include shedding the TV network and the cable sports network, both of which have been losing viewers, Fox Business Network reported. “Spinning off the two networks is the best path forward and a probable late 2023 event, leaving the Walt Disney Company an attractive pure play intellectual property company,” FBN wrote.

Just hours before the controversial legal overhaul known as the SAFE-T Act was set to take effect in Illinois, the state’s supreme court postponed the bill’s abolition of the cash-bail system. The SAFE-T Act, set to take effect on January 1, would eliminate the cash-bail system through a provision known as the Pretrial Fairness Act. The provision drew bipartisan criticism, including from many law-enforcement officials who deemed the move unconstitutional and a danger to public safety. The Illinois supreme court has not set a date to hear appeals in the case, so it’s unclear when or whether the provision eliminating cash-bail will take effect.

Amidst a wasteland of absolute trash coming out of Hollywood over the last several years, Taylor Sheridan’s “Yellowstone” has become a saving grace for television watchers everywhere. It’s gritty, it’s visually stunning, it’s fun, and most of all, it’s not woke. There aren’t any explicitly leftwing narratives being shoved down the audience’s throat when you watch “Yellowstone” or its equally well-done prequels, “1883” and “1923.” In fact, there’s a rather conservative bent at times throughout the franchise, though Sheridan is loathe to allow his work to be defined along political lines. For example, the latest season of “Yellowstone” has the Duttons converting a rabid environmentalist from her misguided secular religion.

Republicans on Trump Tax Returns: Democrats

Republicans in the minority on the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee declared Friday that there had been “no legitimate legislative purpose” for the Democratic majority to release Donald Trump’s tax returns. It was the first time Congress had ever obtained and released the federal tax returns of a private individual. Democrats claimed that they needed the returns as they considered future tax legislation. But the former president argued in court — to no avail — that Democrats were overstepping the separation of powers. On Friday, the committee released six years of Trump’s returns, from 2015 through 2020. While they revealed little that was noteworthy, other than some debatable

At long last, after years of baseless speculation and struggle sessions on cable news networks, Donald Trump’s fabled tax returns have been released, and members of the press are bubbling with excitement. In an unprecedented abuse of power, Democrats in the House of Representatives decided to seize a private citizen’s taxes and dump them out into the public for no legitimate reason whatsoever. There was no constitutional oversight role being performed (because again, Trump is not in government), and certainly, there was no legitimate investigative purpose given they had no evidence of wrongdoing related to the work of Congress.

This is either a bizarre coincidence or evidence that a Narrative™ decree has gone out. (No, I don’t think there are actual decrees…mostly). Yesterday I wrote a piece about Scientific American’s rather odd republishing through tweet of an article originally published in 2020. In it, the author argued that the medical establishment and our society as a whole stigmatizes obesity because Black women are the most obese demographic in America. People can be “healthy at any size,” and focusing on obesity as a health problem is racist. Now one day later Time Magazine is promoting an article that argues that exercise has White supremacist roots.

The House Ways and Means Committee released a partially redacted version of former President Trump's tax returns Friday, completing a longtime objective of Democrats to make Trump's finances public after the former president unsuccessfully tried to stop them in court. The financial documents cover six years of Trump's individual returns filed jointly with his wife, Melania, including his time in the White House. The document dump also includes tax forms for several of Trump's business entities that were investigated by Ways and Means Democrats, a report from the Democratic majority, and a response by Republicans on the committee.
