Earlier this morning, David looked at the startling way in which Winsome Sears cut her ties with Donald Trump after rising to prominence as a staunch soldier in the Trump army. That clearly caught some people by surprise, though not everyone. Sears wasn’t alone, however. Another fervent Trump supporter has appeared to similarly throw in the towel. Famed cartoonist Scott Adams, best known for his iconic Dilbert series, made a very brief but apparently definitive declaration on Twitter yesterday. He was responding to news that Trump was attacking Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin for reasons that weren’t entirely clear. This was apparently a bridge too far for Adams

This is me too. I could take a lot of the garbage talk. But I have realized that Trump is completely off the rails. There were zero reasons to call De Santis= DeSSanctimonious, and no reason at all to call Gov Youngkin a stupid Asian slur for zero reasons cause no one was even urging him to run. WTH-- and then he even gets the country wrong- cause Yung and Kim are Korean, not Chinese names, and why would you be slurring anyone w a Korean name as a pejorative? S. Korea is a partner country to us, as is Taiwan--=-where a lot of Chinese live. But I am for winning elections and getting changes happening. I have three millennial children and three millennial spouses of those kids. At of those, maybe one is still a Trump supporter. And 2 are definite Republicans, 3 are independents, and 1 is a low-info person but even she probably votes for R here because we live in a super R state and I am not at all sure about how she feels about our Governor, just about Trump. The point is we need to get those voters--- voters like them all around the country. We also need to get our early vote game on in any state that has that. And I have been here since the 90's.

What Trump could have said: "I was very impressed by DeSantis's victory. I think he would make a great Vice Presidential candidate. There are some other good choices among the Republicans. I am looking forward to 2024." But he didn't say that, did he?

Not sure what Trump is up to with his recent rants, but it is not his fault that the GOP did not have a red wave -- the vast majority of candidates he endorsed won. You might want to take a look at what is going on with the as yet undecided House elections -- 9 out of 9 previously undecided races over the past two days magically went to the Democrat candidate. What are the odds? The GOP's insurmountable lead is vanishing. Don't be surprised if the Dems "shock" everyone by winning nearly every remaining contested race and taking the House. The Dem cheating machine is moving along full force -- that is why Trump lost in 2020 (not because of his personality). And that is why DeSantis, despite his competence and however appealing he may be to real human beings, will lose in 2024 if the cheating machine is not dismantled. Republicans are focused on earning votes. Democrats are focused on accumulating ballots. Wake up.

(/s) When people would rather believe in Trump hatred, saving the planet, social justice, and ignore inflation, the economy, and the debt, you have a major, likely insurmountable, problem. When millions of people line up at the government troth for their cut of the government pie, you have a likely insurmountable problem. Far too many dumb and dishonest people are voting. You might as well get huffy about the table manners in a prisoner-of-war camp. I think he has been subjected to as much pressure as the interests involved were able to apply. Also, that anybody we pick is going to be subjected to the same thing. Most will handle it much worse. If those affected could not cope with this, they will not be up to the pressure he is under, which we all know of, namely efforts to make his wife divorce him, to bankrupt him, to put him in jail. Usually he just laughs goes on working with whoever it is provided they are on board with the actual agenda.

I despise fair-weather people. They ride with you when things are good, but first chance they get, they bail as if they never liked you. Because they never liked you; they liked what you could do for them. Maybe PDT is exposing them for who he knows them to be behind closed doors. Maybe the gloves are off. Who knows, but it's not about these people. It's about US; they're just one of many. They need to earn our trust daily, so that when they make mistakes we have something to point to for why we should stick it out with them. Give them time to prove themselves. Paul Ryan looked really good when he first came on the scenes, and a lot of conservatives fell for Dan Crenshaw, but that didn't take long.

# 15...I have noticed the new "sensible" posters recently. A few older posters here and there, but a thread like this would never have gone more that a few comments without one of our fellow E.I.B. alum's interjecting a warning about falling for another Democrat scam. I know Trump can shake things up from time to time with his comments but that is the ultimate PROOF that he is no POLITICIAN. Politician's are not spontaneous they weigh and measure their words and try to please everyone with every intention of doing the opposite. Planting the seed "We have DeSantis now we don't need a "Tweeting" Trump (Even though DeSantis, who IS a very effective Governor, was endorsed by the Bushes) Trump may be a bombastic "Bull in a China Shop" but, because of that trait, we always know where he stands and what he is thinking. Few real surprises. "Professor" Barack Obama could tell you that this "divide and conquer" tactic comes from Alinsky's Rule number eight : "Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. "The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this that will cause the opposition to react to your advantage." Rule for Radical's. Beware, there are ten similar "Rules" in the book as well.

Trump did what no president has ever done, pull back the curtain on the ruling class. For this I am eternally grateful. In response the entire global ruling elite aligned to destroy him, and it’s still going on. Maybe all of the “analysis” blaming Trump for the election results is part of this. The eGOP is trying to assimilate and undermine MAGA like they did the tea party. But if MAGA voters aren’t well represented by RINOs they shouldn’t support them. The realignment is ongoing, and maybe more non-Republican voters will eventually vote for MAGA candidates when they can no longer afford to eat, heat their homes and aren’t allowed to own cars. We will see. Trump May have a role here, but he is damaging himself with his recent tirades. Attacking DeSantis and Younkin, spouting off before the final election tallies are known, and with GA going to a runoff, he should be conducting himself as a leader. What he’s doing now is not a good look and he’s doing it to himself.

Well I have been here since the 90's and I and my husband have both been mystified by Trump's behavior of late. And we are not alone. We live in a state that went for Trump almost 61% in 2020. We have loads of DeSantis loving family in Florida who gleefully voted for Trump 2xs. Now is not the time or place for this kind of talk. It looks juvenile. Throwing shade on DeSantis now after his epic win in Florida? Trying to cut the legs out from under a wildly popular Republican? I have no problem with him going after Mitch or the other GOPe who didn't fund and support the right campaigns and then whined about the bad results. They need to be retired. But starting a fight with successful Republicans who are good guys NOW while we still have a runoff to win?? If there are issues, resolve them later on the campaign trail. Trump's behavior of late is hurtful to our cause and he needs to rein it in and get back on track for Walker's and all our sakes.

In short, the GOP underperformed the historic mid-term results in a President's first term. Blame fraud if you like, or some other bogeyman. I'm no fan of the UNIPARTY/GOPe. We in Pennsylvania are still angry as h3ll about Trump endorsing Oz. Then he endorsed Doug Mastriano. Both have baggage. Doug had the worst ran campaign in history. As for Oz, he was a huge mistake. Trump has always had a HUGE PROBLEM chosing the right people for a job. If he decides to run, he will need DeSantis for sure as VP. Trump going after DeSantis is a BIG mistake. What many here are doing is to hold Trump to a standard nobody could meet. For someone who has been impeached twice, and persecuted daily for going on 8 years now I think it is not too unreasonable to cut him a little slack. If not for the massive cheating documented by 2000 mules he would be President now and we not have had the extreme inflation, open borders, massive fentanyl flowing in, extreme crime and all the other calamities Biden had brought us. Trump was one of a kind President who actually put America first and not just mouthed it. Think polices, not temperatment.

Was this a case of massive election fraud? If so, it isn’t just Bankman-Fried who should be punished. In case you’re not caught up on all this, FTX, a futures exchange for crypto-currencies including its own, exploded into the public’s attention just after the election. That’s when it was revealed that FTX had questionably transferred or “loaned” some $10 billion to its sister company, Alameda Research, to “fund risky bets,” a highly questionable move seemingly to shore up Alameda’s finances.
