State Rep. Tony DeLuca, a Democrat, died at age 85 on Oct. 9 due to lymphoma. The timing of his death was too late for election officials to change the ballots.
DeLuca had served as a representative in the Pennsylvania state legislature for 39 years. He received more than 85 percent of the vote in the 32nd District in Allegheny County. This accounted for nearly 14,000 votes on Election Day, and more than 7,000 votes via mail.
DeLuca had served on the House Insurance Committee and the Democratic Policy Committee.
His opponent, Green candidate Queonia “Zarah” Livingston, received roughly 14 percent of the vote.

On the occasion of the 2022 Midterm Elections, the Hawkeye State experienced the full effect of their own tsunami that’s been building over the years. Once a quintessential swing state, Iowa has swung totally red. Governor, both Senators, all four Reps, state AG (close race)—all Republican. It was the final flip of House 3, in a very close race, that did it (call it a 2000 vote margin out of over 300k votes). But it doesn’t stop there. The state senate stands at 32R, 18D. The state house is 60R, 40D.(snip) a sort of cherry on top of the tsunami, Amendment 1 - Establish state constitutional right to bear

After last night's shocking loss in the counting of votes, conservatives need a little hope. We got a ton of it from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
He took on LGBT, transgender-mania and Disney. And that was just in March. He opened his state for business during the pandemic panic and triggered an economic boon. He is a fighter for the people.
Floridians rewarded him on Tuesday with a landslide victory.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.—The votes are still trickling in, but it’s too close to call a winner for the hotly contested Arizona governor’s race.
With about 66 percent of the votes reported as of 11:22 a.m. ET on Wednesday, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Katie Hobbs led Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake by 11,726 votes, according to The Associated Press.
With the race too close to call, Lake took the stage at 10 p.m. local time on Tuesday, and told watch partygoers that she was ready to “fight to win,” and, even if it takes hours or days, she’s confident about her chances. She also said her campaign is getting results that in-person voting favored her.

The problem with calling what was to come a Red Wave was always that many races were tight. Polling was close in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin, Arizona, and Nevada. If GOP victory was to be a near-certainty, then the media would frame anything less as a defeat. (snip)
As I’m writing this, Democrats are predicted to control the Senate with a final composition of 50 Democrats and 50 Republicans (snip)Arizona remains in play, although the media’s consensus is that Democrat Mark Kelly is likely to prevail over Republican Blake Masters. We’re not so sure about that. Arizona has somehow only counted 68% of its ballots as of noon Eastern(snip)and Masters performed well

Wealthy citizens who’ve donated heavily to political campaigns this year include supporters of both of the major political parties, although none of the others comes close to billionaire philanthropist George Soros, who has given more than $128 million to help elect Democrats, according to a new tally released by OpenSecrets, a Washington-based research organization.
The recipients of donations aren’t limited solely to individual candidates but also include parties, political action committees (PACs), the hybrid PACs known as Carey Committees, and tax-exempt 527 organizations. The next three slots on OpenSecrets’ list are occupied by individuals who’ve spent lavishly to support Republicans.

Amid all the races of note this evening, it is worth drawing attention to the Arkansas governor race where very MAGA Sarah Huckabee Sanders has won the election and will now be the first woman governor in Arkansas history. [Data Link]

I’m appalled. Appalled at my country. I thought I had grown out of it, but I guess that lurking in the back of my mind was the assumption that, if confronted with the truth of what’s going on, the Common Man will ultimately decide for common sense. Last night was a particularly nasty wake-up call, flying in the face of even liberal polling. (snip). I’d be a fool not to be open to the possibility of election fraud. On the other hand, that’s not the whole story. (snip)it’s clear that there is quite a bit of ticket splitting going on

Officials in Pennsylvania’s most populous city imposed last-minute changes on Nov. 8 to ballot processing that could delay the vote count.
In a 2–1 vote during a special meeting, the Philadelphia city commissioners decided to amend how ballots are processed.
The change focuses on reconciliation, or reviewing absentee ballots and in-person votes to make sure people don’t cast duplicate votes.
Facing pressure from a lawsuit, Commissioners Lisa Deeley, a Democrat, and Seth Bluestein, a Republican, voted to have reconciliation take place for ballots cast in the midterm elections.

U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) workers are not allowed inside polling locations, a Florida official has told the agency.
Brad McVay, general counsel for the Florida Department of State, told DOJ election official John Russ that Florida law does not permit DOJ monitors to be stationed inside of polling places after the DOJ announced it would monitor compliance with federal voting laws in three Florida counties.

Christine Anderson: A member of the European Parliament. She represents the Alternative for Germany (AfD), which is labelled as a “populist political party” in Germany. AfD is known for its opposition to the European Union, as well as the open border/immigration to Germany policies which the EU mandates. As she does not believe in open borders, Christine Anderson is labelled with such terms as “far-right,” (snip) Near as I can tell, these are just more propaganda talking points by Wiki and their ilk.
(snip) Anderson is getting at an important point, which must be researched. There is evidence that Pfizer and Pfizer’s CEO Albert Bourla have corrupted government leaders worldwide.

Authorities in Maricopa County, Arizona, confirmed Tuesday morning at a news conference that around 20 percent of the vote centers in the county are experiencing issues.
“In about 20 percent of the vote centers … when people will go and try to run the ballot through this tabulator, maybe one out of every five or so, of those ballots are not going through,” said Maricopa Board of Supervisors Chair Bill Gates. “It’s not like both of the tabulators in these 20 percent of locations are having these issues.
