Wednesday, NBC reporters Joe Fryer, Savannah Sellers and Jo Yurcaba discussed the impact of voter ID laws on transgender people on NBC News’ free streaming service show “Morning News Now.”
Fryer said, “As Gen Z gears up to hit the polls, transgender voters are concerned they might be blocked from casting their ballots.”
Sellers said, “That is because a growing number of states are enforcing stricter voter identification laws that disproportionally impact the community.”(Snip) because trans people are more likely to have IDs without the name that they go by and the gender marker that reflect how they present.”

MSNBC presidential historian Michael Beschloss on Wednesday night warned that if Republican candidates win their races next week, American democracy and the free press could end, historians may no longer exist, and “our children” could all die at the hands of a “brutal authoritarian system.” President Joe Biden said in his Wednesday night speech that, in the upcoming midterms, “democracy itself is “at stake,” a message that MSNBC’s Chris Hayes and much of the media have been repeating for months. Hayes played clips from the speech, including the president saying that electing certain Republicans is a “path to chaos” —

Republican Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake pushed back Wednesday against a Fox News poll finding nearly half of respondents believe she is “too extreme.”
The poll, conducted along with Beacon Research and Shaw & Company, found 47% of respondents are concerned that Lake’s views are “too extreme,” while 42% hold the view about her opponent, Democrat Katie Hobbs. Over half of the participants, 51%, do not or only somewhat believe Lake is “too extreme.” The poll surveyed 1,003 randomly selected Arizona voters between Oct. 26-30 with a +/- 3% margin of error.

Repugnant co-host of The View, Sunny Hostin, attacked Republican female voters in the lead up to the midterm elections on November 8th. On Thursday’s episode, the angry View harpies discussed the upcoming midterms and co-host Farah Griffin predicted a red wave.
After commenting on a recent polling regarding abortion, Hostin declares, “I read a poll just yesterday that white, Republican, suburban women are now going to vote Republican. It’s almost like roaches voting for Raid, right?”
Hard to imagine what would happen if a White pundit called an entire voting block of Black women roaches,

In her recent article in The Atlantic, a Brown University professor, Emily Oster, is calling for "pandemic amnesty." She is telling me to "forgive and forget" everyone who was yelling obscenities at me for not wearing a mask in a public park or calling me a mass murderer for posting a picture with a friend visiting. I must forget all this, the author insists, because all those people had nothing but my well-being in mind!
The author admits that many (if not most!) measures imposed on us by "the experts" were harmful and destructive.

Two former beauty queens, Fabiola Valentín of Puerto Rico and Mariana Valera of Argentina, announced this week that they had secretly married.
The joint Instagram post spurred celebration in LGBTQ communities across Latin America, a region that has historically lagged on gay rights but has made small steps in recent years.
“After deciding to keep our relationship private, we’re opening the doors on this special day, 28/10/22,” Valentín and Valera said in their announcement posted Sunday.
The post includes a video montage of their relationship, including the two on vacations, at bars and on the beach at sunset.

Former President Trump is calling on Republicans to impeach Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) for "allowing" Democrats to pass their agenda items.
During an interview on Real America News, Trump insisted that the Democratic Party must "have something" on McConnell since he has often made deals with them on the debt ceiling in the past.
"Mitch McConnell keeps allowing [them] to have it. I mean, they ought to impeach Mitch McConnell if he allows that. Frankly, Mitch McConnell, something has to be — they have something on him. How he approves this thing is incredible," Trump said.

On its radio broadcast Thursday morning, NPR played audio of a woman undergoing an abortion, complete with disturbing sounds of machinery vacuuming out the unborn child and the mother crying and moaning.
The Michigan woman, whose identity was not revealed, received the procedure at eleven-weeks gestation, the outlet reported. In the audio, a vacuum can be heard suctioning out the unborn child, as well as the woman’s cries and moans. The segment concludes with a doctor telling the patient that the abortion had been completed. Laughter, sighs of relief, and words of moral support followed from the people in the room.

The Pelosi home and neighborhood are lit up with CCTV cameras, around-the-clock security detail, and no doubt, motion detectors everywhere. No one is getting within 100 yards of the Pelosi home without being identified. No one is breaking into that house. You can bet on it.We are supposed to accept that a man walked behind the house unnoticed and hammered on a window in a back door until the glass broke. The glass, by the way, landed outside the house which makes no sense since the force against the window reportedly came from the

Conservatives ridiculed President Joe Biden’s "despicable" Wednesday speech in which he warned midterm voters of the threats to democracy ahead of election day. During his last address before the balance of power would be decided in Washington D.C., Biden pleaded with Americans to vote against Republicans, accusing them of being election deniers and MAGA extremists who have encouraged political violence, promoted former President Donald Trump’s "Big Lie" about the 2020 election and engaged in voter intimidation.
Rather than focusing the on main issues voters are most concerned about, namely, rampant inflation and other economic woes, Biden’s speech pointed the finger at his political opponents.

MADISON, Wis. — Madison Children's Museum said in a statement Monday an employee was fired after wearing an Adolf Hitler costume.
The employee was seen in viral photographs celebrating Halloween on Saturday night in Madison's downtown area.
We are nauseated to see a man has dressed up as Adolf Hitler to celebrate Halloween at the U. Wisconsin Madison
With antisemitic incidents on the rise at both this particular school and across the country, this costume was meant to do one thing, and one thing only - spread hate pic.twitter.com/2paqLqOT4n

According to a statement, the employee has cognitive disabilities and has worked at the museum for the past 10 years.
