Anti-Democratic Rhetoric Has Gone Too Far

I am a lifelong Democrat. I even worked for Joe Biden at one time. Thus, nothing that has happened in America since January 2021 has surprised me. But the president’s speech in Philadelphia last week marked a new low for America and a new low for a party that I once idolized.
To me, the Democratic Party was the party of hope, tolerance, and opportunity. Indeed, those themes echoed through Bill Clinton’s speeches in 1992. Clinton’s presidency was the high-water mark of the post-war Democratic Party. He blended JFK’s idealism with Reagan’s folksiness. He embodied America’s middle class, the greatest political force

From the article: "To me, the Democratic Party was the party of hope, tolerance, and opportunity." Okay, I stopped reading after that because all I can think of is the picture of Joe Biden and Robert Bryd.

Scott must have not watched the lying, crooked, plagiarizing Joe Biden for the last five decades. Mr. Street acts surprised like Biden just showed up in the democrat party in 2020 when he's been this evil all his miserable lying life only, he has dementia now.

FTA: "The saddest part is that most Americans want Biden to succeed. That is what drew so many of them, me included, to his campaign. They did not like the negative tone that Trump brought to the White House. They wanted compassionate, competent, bipartisan leadership, somebody with the confidence to thank Trump for his service and move on. Biden seemed the perfect fit."
This paragraph shows the delusion of the writer. The only thing that Biden has ever been successful at is deceit on a grand scale. His campaign consisted of hiding in his basement or rarely speaking to 20 people in large circles. Trump's negative tone was only with the corrupt media, and they deserved it. Nobody in his right mind, viewing Biden over his 50 years of obnoxious grifting, racism and perversion, could describe him using the terms compassionate, competent, or leadership. Biden's only WH success is in elevating Obama to 2nd worst president.

The author goes on and on about what a great guy Clinton was. BS. Clinton had no values other than what the polls said. He emulated Reagan because Reagan was eminently popular. He had a compliant press provide comparisons to Kenedy because he was young. But we should never forget the Clinton secret to political success: Sincerity. Once you learn to fake that you've got it made. Bill could fake it pretty well. Hillary, not so much.

FTA: "But it’s clear that Biden is not the answer and needs to go"
Just as I predicted (search for comments by me and you'll find what I said). The wrote up this sickening speech so they could not only rile up their base and provoke violence, but so the powers that be could throw Biden under the bus and eliminate one of their bigger problems while appearing to be magnanimous.

I’ll add to No.2. The author knew what Biden was and still he voted for him. He’s more than an idiot, he’s a colossal idiot.

For Democrats it's all form over substance. Street loves the Democrat Party because it was the party of "hope" etc., and he adored "Bill Clinton’s speeches". Obama ran on glittering generalities of hope and change, never mind none of them knew what that meant, it made them all feel good and superior. Next up, after the party rids itself of the Biden embarrassment, will be more history re-writes and some new demagogue to cheer them all up by making fun of Trump and promising to save Mother Earth from the mean conservatives and racist white people.

The author of this ridiculous article defines delusion. The democrat party is the death cult party, loving nothing more than any policies that damage, destroy or kill. You are an idiot, a very gullible idiot and you prove it by still being a democrat.

"They will decide whether America moves on from the toxic, divisive Trump/Biden era"
Notice the clever pairing here? The author wants to toss both Trump and Biden out. He recognizes that Biden is a loser, pairs him with Trump, and says "Let's move on.".
The problem is, this is the classic bad deal offered by dems. They offer up something of little value and expect Conservatives to compromise and give up something of great value. Biden is politically worthless. The progressives are terrified of Trump because he was successful in spite of their nasty games. The collapse of media credibility is due to Trump who called them out and exposed them. Trump survived assaults that would have chased the typical politician out of office. Meanwhile, he created the best and most fair economy in 4 decades. He appointed a Conservative SCOTUS. He delivered energy independence. And so much more.
The author wants us to accept a fossilized piece of donkey dung from his side and we are supposed to toss in the Hope diamond on our side. He's hoping we can't see the difference.
Unfortunately, so is a lot of the Republican political machine. They are terrified that Trump would very likely win the Republican primary. If he runs, they can't stop that from happening.

Sorry for the double post, but it must be said -- if you haven't gone conservative by the time you knew that Russia Collusion was a complete hoax fielded by the US intelligence community, I couldn't care less whether you convert. You are destined to supporting anti-American failure, again, in the future. You are just that deluded and were happy to inflict harm on your fellow Americans until you, yourself, started feeling the harm you created. Then and only then did you want to change. #GoodForYou

Dear Mr. Street, take a little advice from a lifelong realist: it is a mistake to look at politicians of any party as capable of being the bringers of hope, tolerance, and opportunity. Politicians will say anything to aggrandize themselves and amass power and wealth for themselves and their closest kin. You are nothing but a vote and your mistake was ever believing in their nonsense.
Nobody needs a political party in order to have hope or tolerance and not initiative.
You have to find those things within yourself and look for others who share your priorities within your own life. Washington and state governments have promised the moon for votes. When they don’t deliver they instruct us to blame the people who vote for the other guy. It’s an insider’s game and works beautifully on saps.

I need this writer to be a bit further along in deliverance from the evil democrat party. He's not even close right now. He also needs to experience the development of brain cells before he takes to pen again. Seriously Federalist?
