A bizarre assertion made by scientists in South Korea suggests that if the global population starts eating burgers and other food made out of earthworms, then world hunger would be greatly reduced.
The New York Post reports that Dr. Hee Cho of Wonkwang University led a research project which concluded that mixing cooked mealworms, or beetle larvae, with sugar can produce a substance that resembles and allegedly tastes like meat.
“Recently, eating insects has become of interest because of the increasing cost of animal protein, as well as the associated environmental issues,” Cho said in a press release after the project’s conclusion. “Insects are a nutritious and healthy food source

Growing corn, wheat, cows, hogs, and chickens also could alleviate world hunger. It has been very effective in the past.

Asians eat a lot of sick stuff and apparently enjoy it, so this might not be much of a departure for them. I dont believe I'll be participating.

On the menu of a hotel i stayed in in Hong Kong was double boiled crocodile penis.
I guess by comparison a worm sandwich sounds appetizing.

Uh, no. I lied. You can stick your bugs and worms where the sun don't shine. Please excuse me. I need to marinate the pork butt roast I am fixing tomorrow. You are not invited.

Humans digestive systems are not compatible for suggesting insects. Birds and other insects eating creatures can digest then no problem. God did not say to us that insects are what’s for dinner. Never ever eat anything that has insects in it. Never.

When the supply chain runs out of meat and potatoes, we'll be eating deep-fried crispy worms from the nearest fast food restaurant.

This is so typical of authoritarians: They tell you what to drive, what to wear, what to grow, how to set your thermostat and what to eat. Or not eat. They can’t seem to leave other people alone. Is this some sort of recessive gene they’ve got? Or maybe they just see danger where no one else does, which is also pathological.
My advice to authoritarians: Stick your advice, all of it, where the sun don’t shine and leave normal people alone.

#8, I once ate at a real Chinese restaurant in Oakland, CA. By real, I mean not adjusted to American palates. I believe that our table was the only one not occupied by Chinese families. Among many bizarre items included on the menu was dried jelly fish.
In some parts of Southeast Asia where rice is grown, rats are trapped in the paddies and the kids are given their eyeballs to eat as “candy”. And stink bugs are considered a treat for children.
No thanks. I’ll stick to “first world” food.

Everything has a purpose. The worms break up the soil and help to keep it fertile. They also feed certain birds. So what happens when worms are commercialized as food and and they got the way of the Buffalo.?

Maybe we could use this to help the American poor. Those impoverished, starving kids would then get sufficient protein. When will the food pantries start handing this nutritious stuff out?

Worms have a job and that is to keep the soil plant able. If you kill off the worms you will not be able to grow food and not only will the worms die but people also as sooner or later all animals need plants.

Couldn't be worse than eating a McDonalds Big Mac with their 'secret sauce'. Go to You Tube and see what some fast-food joints pass off as food it's as disgusting as worms.

The secret sauce aint bad , it's the mystery meat that is rough..
My questions is how much thinner can they press the mystery meat and still call it a burger.?

Here we go again, the Left point out a crisis, proposing to solve it with something they have relentlessly (but unsuccessfully) pushed for ages. But they deliberately caused that crisis... undoubtedly for the express purpose of justifying their 'solution'.
I've gotten too damned tired of that M.O. to put up with it any more.
