U.S. conspiracy theorist Alex Jones must pay the parents of a 6-year-old boy killed in the 2012 Sandy Hook massacre $45.2 million in punitive damages - on top of $4.1 million in compensatory damages already awarded - for falsely claiming the shooting was a hoax, a Texas jury decided on Friday.
Neil Heslin and Scarlett Lewis, separated parents of slain 6-year-old Jesse Lewis, testified that followers of Jones harassed them and sent them death threats for years in the false belief that they were lying about their son's death in the Dec. 14, 2012, shooting that killed 20 children and six staff at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.
The best way to get back at a rich man is to turn him into a poor man. Yo, Alex, I hear there's an opening driving used cars across the stage at the city impound yard.

I really don't know much about Alex Jones, but aren't we supposed to have freedom of speech? Did he encourage people to harass? Just asking.

Well he pushed a bizarre story about Sandy Hook and he is no judge of the "authorities" he cites. And he lied about his email, which his lawyer accidentally sent to the plaintiffs' lawyers after Jones claimed these messages didn't exist. I think the award is also bizarre but golly, there's enough fake news and intentionally misleading news without going completely off the deep end. And then there's that voice....
Guess I'm just not that in to Alex Jones.

Ok we're a little bit desperate for alternative news n opinion, but this guy is, I'm sorry, insufferable.
If his scratchy voice comes on I dive for the app close button.
Wth! Why's he increasing the sorrow of grieving parents??

I think it might be kinda fun to take Alex, a fat porker, strip him naked, cover him with honey, tie him down and pour a few thousand fire ants all over him.
Oh. I'm sorry. Did I offend some of his supporters that worship his fat ass.
Shame on me.

Jones and his companies have already filed for bankruptcy. These parents though relatively first in line won't get anything close to $50 million. I think Jones is a lying kook with fools for believers but $50 million for getting your feelings hurt seems outrageous.

I used to think he was a real nut, and I still don't think he handled Sandy Hook correctly. I did however read a few articles on his site about 10 or 12 years ago with a recommendation from a friend. The first ones were about the massive ammunition buys by obama that were denied by the government, then proved correct. Several more were about the coming plandemic which turned out to be covid and he was pretty much spot on as to how it was done. Since then, I still check him out from time to time and take him with a grain of salt. He is correct more than the MSM any way you look at it though.

I was appalled at all the stories abounding that this was some kind of sickening false flag event by the government. Jones was a big pusher of this nonsense too. There were others, but he by far has been the worst. If there is a conspiracy theory that catches his fancy, best believe he will sign on and push it.

I doubt if anyone who is defending this evil p.o.s. would be so understanding if it were them and their kid he was lying about. First Amendment doesn't allow libel, and he stated repeatedly that these parents were in on a massive hoax, an assertion as absurd as it is vile.

No actual injuries were caused by his BS.
This is stupid, likely to be reduced by an appeal court.

Elon Musk was let off scott-free after he made the "Pedo" comment about the cave rescuer in Thailand who was trying to rescue those kids. The Judge basically said that you can't defame someone who never had any fame and wasn't going to suffer financial harm for something said off hand by someone else. Same thing is true with this case. Alex Jones is a looney-toon who cries about everything and on occassion is correct. These parents were "claiming" to get death threats as a result of Jones' claiming SH was a fraud... so what was the Plaintive's PROOF that they had actual "death threats." and were they verified by the Police with the perp brought to justice? No? Then how can this be anything but pure hearsay and conjecture? Beside this, the Judge in the case was so clearly antagonistic and biased against Jones that it was immediately evident to anyone watching the trial. Jones should also have fired his lawyer and moved for a mistrial.

Search "We need to talk about Sandy Hook" on Bitchute for a 2.75 hour compilation of many different YouTube investigators discussing their explorations of the players, stories, video evidence, and official reports of the event.
So how was the value of the pain and suffering Jones was found guilty of inflicting actually determined?
There is a surprising number of ad hominem attacks on Alex Jones appearing here today.
