President Biden admitted Wednesday that inflation was stuck at “unacceptably high” levels after the annual rate fell slightly in April to 8.3%—but then blamed the COVID-19 pandemic and Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine for the price increases rather than government spending. “While it is heartening to see that annual inflation moderated in April, the fact remains that inflation is unacceptably high,” Biden said in a statement.
Inflation hit a 40-year annual high of 8.5% in March. Although the annual inflation rate ticked lower in April, prices actually increased 0.3% on a month-to-month basis. Biden had attempted to preempt the latest inflation data

FTA, "“Today, I am traveling to Illinois to speak with farmers about more we can do to lower their costs and help them produce more, lowering the price of food for Americans and around the world,” Biden said." Um, Diaper Joe, plants have already been planted. You should have paid attention to this, oh say, a year ago. Crops don't magically appear out of hot air from a dimwit politician. At least not outside DC. Diaper Joe takes Moron to a new level.

Every one of the "solutions" he floats calls for more gov't spending. Tha's what has caused the inflation we have.
They're as eager to bring back the Weimar Republic as to erase the Southern border.

The pandemic--does he mean because of the Democrats' beloved lockdowns and their wild spending sprees to allegedly shore up the economy? The Republicans in Congress bear blame for that, too. And Russia has nothing to do with this. If we were oil-independent like we were before Biden took office, it wouldn't matter what Russia did. And on another topic, it looks like Ukraine's investment in Hunter Biden is paying off, with Biden pledging billions for them to fight the Russians. Never mind that their governmenti known to be corrupt..

If Russia's invasion of Ukraine is to blame for inflation in the US, then why is Biden giving Ukraine tens of billion$ to extend the war rather than forcing the two countries into some sort of negotiated peace?

If we made this a drinking game, and downed a shot of bourbon everytime the moron blamed someone else for his problems, none of us could stand up and there'd be no corn to dilute our gas!

Dang that Putin- if only he’d spent 3 months massing troops on Ukraine’s border while threatening to invade instead of suddenly deciding to go in after a weekend bender we might have been able to prepare better.
