Hunter Biden’s partying days appear to be in the rearview mirror as he lives a quiet homebody-style life, rarely venturing out of his $6 million Malibu home while being guarded 24/7 by the Secret Service. “He never goes anywhere other than an art studio,” a source with direct knowledge of the situation told the Washington Examiner. “You won’t ever see Hunter Biden in a grocery store buying bologna and bread for a sandwich.” But on the off chance that Biden does want to venture out, he doesn’t drive himself but rather gets into a Secret Service car.

This is BS. Protect the President, but NOT his adult children.

Not a bad idea - sort of like house arrest.
But, which secret service agent picks up Hunter's crack cocaine, booze, cigarettes for him?

Even in exile, and under suspicion of fraud, this talentless blob still lives a life of luxury far beyond that imaginable to working citizens. It's nice to be king, or prince, in this case.

A con man who should be in prison is being treated like the ruler of a small country in Africa. Only in a democrat-run country... I hope he and the Big Guy can get adjoining cells in Leavenworth.

Well, I hope he enjoys his time at the beach. I have a feeling that might be spending a lot of time in 2023 in DC talking to Congressional committees or in courtrooms (doubtful on that)

sooo...we have gone from him being paid $50k a month by Russian/Ukraine Oligarchs to do nothing except "be the son of Biden",
to US having to pay $50,000 a month for him to do nothing but "Be the son of Biden"?
Surely I am not the only one summat offended by not only Joe's constant invocation of "Saint Beau the Deceased", but also Hunters dog tags,...apparently NOT from his brief (aborted) "military career" but rather, that of his Brother.
It would be a case of "Stolen Valor"...if any actual "Valor" had ever been involved.

probably the whole reason is to keep him out of strip bars, away from crack and booze, and away from laptop computers.

This is what happens when you are a “put on ice bagman” for a longtime corrupt DC liberal Democrat family connected to the insider UniParty class of politicians and operatives there.
One of the most important things that the outsider Trump did during his sojourn among that political class in DC was to “out” a lot of the political corruption and some of the involved players. For that Trump was impeached twice by the DC insider classes of politicians, some of who are hiding their own corrupt activities. Remember when Trump came to DC he was a business made billionaire several times over, and during the four years he was in DC he donated his total presidential salary to good causes. In contrast, when a lot of the career political insiders came to and started squatting in DC, they had little or no money when they arrived in DC, but sometime later have bank accounts containing tens of millions of dollars in amounts impossible accumulate and save on the annual federal salary paid to a Congressional Representative or Senator. What does that tell you?

Good … I hope he feels, every bit, like the prisoner he deserves to be. Though not a dungeon, by any means, the punishment to the psyche can be the same.

Now we are paying the bidet family baby sitting bill. Cheaper for schmoe than paying for rehab.
Perhaps he won’t be able to run, but I’d guess the SS would help him escape the US if an indictment were to manifest.

I look at this article, then the one where to Iranian agents fooled Biden's secret service detail into accepting the as Homeland Security Agents connected with the J6 Smear.

All former Presidents can well afford their own protection but they STILL stick us with the full tab. Carter is the only one who stopped his protection. I expect Biden will do an order extending post-presidency SS protection for HIS grown kids exactly as Bill Clinton and Dubya did.

This is NOT right.
A few years ago a billionaire who chooses to remain out of the public circle was told by the IRS that his private security bill, which for him and his family amounted to around $1M per year, was henceforth NOT tax deductible as a business expense. He would have to pay for it out of pocket, while politicians get FREE protection for life if they rise to the level of President and perhaps VP, who knows, because the IRS/SS are very secretive about the perks and benies the "electeds" are given without our knowledge. In effect the "electeds" are attempting to circumvent the Constitution and establish an Oligarchy of permanent politicians who cannot be removed and who have the right to vote themselves whatever they want or need and charge it to the taxpayers.

Hunter could easily stay at one of Daddy's homes. That would reduce some SS expenses.
Thrift/frugalness are not virtues to these people.
