Scientists are on the cusp of the 'biggest ever' breakthrough in the treatment of pancreatic cancer.UK researchers have developed a two-in-one treatment that could dramatically improve survival and even cure the disease, which is one of the deadliest cancers.Survival rates for pancreatic cancer have barely improved in the last 50 years and it has the worst prognosis of any common cancer. In tests, mice given the new therapy – a combination of two treatments already used in hospitals – lived up to 40 per cent longer.

My best friend for 40 years died of pancreatic cancer last year. I've lost four friends to it, a cure would be a good thing.

Bi.dim and the camel have really come through on this one! Why, it was only yesterday that he said he was going to cure cancer and now he’s went and done it. What a great man.

Great news if this comes to fruition. I’ve known a few afflicted with this. Near certain death penalty. Repurposing existing treatments, who would have ever guessed something like this could treat illnesses?

It will likely cost a fortune and insurance will dodge paying for it.

Cancer cures are not politially correct and certainly not in keeping with the massive cancer "industry" in our country and elsewhere. Look for this treatment or "cure" to shortly disappear. The more effective the treatment (even in mice) the faster it will be gone.

Probably another lie by the medical folks, trying to distract from their total fraud, lies and deadly failures of EVERYTHING they have done for 2 years.

My sister in law died from this cancer two years ago this May. She lived exactly 5 months after the diagnosis. She wasn't feeling well for a couple of months while the doctors did tests to find out what was wrong. If they had found it sooner she might have lived a few months longer. In January 2020, the FDA approved a drug to use in fighting pancreatic cancer. It was a drug used to fight ovarian cancer. This drug didn't cure it but it was supposed to double the usual survival rate. It's called Lynparza. I'm wondering if this drug is part of the new treatment. Sure hope they find a cure for this cancer because it is a terrible disease.

There is a test to find out of you have this. I do not know why doctors do not test for this as a general thing like they do for other regular blood tests. Even if you have to pay for it yourself it would be great if we could catch this early. Every time I hear about someone that has this it is ALWAYS stage 4. Once or twice a year they should let you get the test for it. Just in case.

My wife passed away from stage 4 pancreatic cancer after a 2 1/2 year battle. She chose chemo and radiation. After several months of chemo she had the radiation treatments which pinpointed the tumor and stopped it from growing. During that 3 month hiatus from chemo her body started to heal. They were planning pancreatic surgery when they discovered the cancer had spread to the lining of her stomach. Not good. She opted for more chemo and immediately started going downhill. I watched her get sick for 7 out of 14 days every 2 weeks. She passed in august of 2020. People don’t realize chemo is indiscriminate in that it attacks every cell in your body. Eventually your body succombs and you pass. If chemo gets the cancer consider yourself blessed. I hope it works. 50 years is a long time for no movement but we’ve all heard potential cures before. But they have done something. They is an oncology clinic in almost every town.

My beloved brother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that had spread to his liver when he was 48. He fought so hard for more than 2 years. He was a kind and beautiful person, still trying to raise a family. Despite huge suffering he said at the end that he could not have asked for a better life. I pray that this news is real and pancreatic cancer can become more survivable.

I lost my dear friend and mentor to this in 2009. She was diagnosed in January and died on March 1. By the time one begins to feel the cancer, it’s usually too far gone to treat. She was in her early 80’s and opted just to be kept comfortable until the disease took its course.
I pray that this “cure” is for real.

Color me skeptical. I'm old enough to have seen many "breakthroughs" that turn out to be duds.

Like everyone else, I hope this is effective, but coming as it did within days of our Potemkin President's promise, I'm inclined to believe it's only fake news. The covidian insanity is waning.

My grandmother passed from pancreatic cancer within 6 months of diagnosis at 60 years of age. I pray this is true, but have my doubts as cancer is a very lucrative disease for the Healthcare system and Big Pharma.

This is good news...cancer should be cured with all the medical people concentrating on a real enemy...instead of manufacturing treatments for the china virus...I wonder if they are researching retuxin ...a biological treatment instead of chemo...it was very effective for my husband...he was in remission when his heart gave out...I still say retuxin gave me a few extra years with him...

Condolences to all who have lost loved ones to this disease. Cancer can be insidious, ruling out cure. I second #10's suggestion, one which I also held for heart disease. Why wait until a person drops over to learn there is coronary blockage?

Why not wait until you have accurate human trial data before bragging about a cure? I’m very skeptical. Microscopically, pancreatic carcinoma is extremely invasive and a true cure is a long way off and I’m not talking about a few weeks increase in survival.

Color me skeptical, too. Why offer a cure for cancer when the treatments are so lucrative? Who knows? The cure for cancer may have been discovered years ago and hidden away to keep the money rolling in.

My sincerest condolences, #11. Your wife fought well, that is a very long time to survive pancreatic cancer.
I watched my friend go from a big, strong, powerful and capable man to a mere shell of his former self over a year. It was difficult to watch, but I was determined to support him the best that I could as a friend. I have seen people pull back and just abandon others with a cancer diagnosis. I refused to do it. My last visit was the day before he died.
Sadly, I no longer trust doctors, and I tend to doubt the veracity of this report.

Now that I know how pharms work, they'll have to figure out if they make more money from this or more money treating the cancer with chemo and radiation. I just don't don't trust them anymore after this covid nonsense and still pushing extremely dangerous shots for it.

What good are miracle cures if you can't even get in to see a doctor because of the millions of illegals monopolizing our health care? They don't even treat symptoms in this country, let alone causes. The world's most expensive placebo dispensaries. The only thing that could be worse would be government-owned single payer. .

Condolences to you who suffered loss of family members. I have kept my skepticism of any cures to myself since my dear brother died of cancer. It would seem too cruel to think it aloud since hardly any family has been spared a cancer connection. But that said, what if Ivermectin figured into the cure protocol?
