Up to one million noncitizens living in New York City will have access to the ballot box after Mayor Eric Adams (D) on Sunday approved legislation by the city council to automatically become law.As Breitbart News reported last November, Adams has always supported the move.“I believe that New Yorkers should have a say in their government, which is why I have and will continue to support this important legislation,” Adams said in a statement Saturday, as seen by the New York Post.“While I initially had some concerns about one aspect of the bill, I had a productive dialogue with my colleagues in government that put those concerns at ease.

This needs to be stopped.
How long before they demand the 'right' to vote in state and federal elections? Governor Hochul won't stop it. Doubt Biden would either. New York courts would uphold their right. No telling what the Supreme Court would do. What if they moved to another state and demanded voting rights there as well?
Can imagine that many 'new voters' would give New York a new Congressional district. It would affect state politics as well.
How long before California and other liberal states follow suit?

The new law also allows the city's cockroach population to vote.
Cockroaches have played a significant role in the city's history - - and they deserve to have a say in its future.

What's the difference between Adams and DeBlasio? Only one, Adams is the mayor. Both are tool. NYC is still on the road to becoming a 3rd World Hell Hole. NYers, you get what you voted for. Don't complain. You voted for Adams. Live with it. Just stay there.

So Eric Adams was a mistake. Appearing to be potentially a very big one.

This is how bad policy works: start small and then claim that it must be made more widespread. Covid shots for the elderly, then for 18 yr olds, and finally 5 years old. Infants next.

“I believe that New Yorkers should have a say in their government"
That's your problem, Eric. Bloomberg, de Blasio, Cuomo and you are the result of that "say" and that's exactly why New York City is following the rest of the state in a flaming wreck on its way to a big splashdown. Nice move, hiring your brother, you can now enjoy this failure as a family.
The fact that one million noncitizens are there is your first big problem.

Another reason not to spend much time in New York. New York is heading the way of California. And we know how well that turned out and continues to go down hill. Voter fraud here we come. Democrats will claim both CA and NY in their column for years to come. The Empire State Building will now become the Evil Empire State Building. Wake up America.

There is no such thing as a lawful permanent resident of New York City, and the so-called “dreamers” are illegal aliens. The legal status in the USA of any person who is not a citizen or national of the USA and almost always is in actuality a citizen of some foreign country, must always confirm to lawful provisions of the federal immigration laws that have been passed by the US Congress by authority specifically granted in the US Constitution and apply to the entire nation. Those federal laws are the deciders as to whether any person who is not a citizen or national of the USA are illegally or legally in the USA.
In the case of “dreamers” there never have been provisions in the federal immigration laws to grant any illegal alien “dreamer” status, and “dreamer” status was invented and implemented by the Obama Administration that had no constitutional or lawful authority to do so.
A mayor of a US City, or a City Council, does not have any lawful authority to claim or decide that any foreign origin person who is not a citizen or national of the USA is illegally or legally in any U.S. City. The reason that the leftist and socialist Democrat dominated City Council of New York City has now granted voting rights to people who are not citizens or nationals of the USA is because the Democrats know that most of the foreign origin people that they intend to allow to register and vote in New York City elections are generally poor and uneducated people from all over the world who are in the USA either illegally or legally, will by large margins support the leftist and socialist Democrat progressive or socialist oriented political agenda.
Common sense will tell you that the highly political Democrat dominated New York City Council would never have granted voting rights to those said to be million or so foreign people who are citizens of foreign countries if they ever thought that those foreign people would register and vote for Republicans, or the conservative Republican political agenda, whatever that really turns out to be.

I have to ask a question. Why are the legal voters, democrats and Republicans, willing to dilute the power of their legal votes by supporting the vote for illegals?

The law requires citizenship to vote. The law is not a policy whim of the politicians and bureaucrats. It is a requirement. To be eligible to vote, you shall be of certain age, and a U.S. citizen. I am certain I read that, when I registered to vote.

Hopefully the first of many, many lawsuits by citizens are being filed as we speak!!!
The SCOTUS needs to smack this down now, or the slippery slope to total anarchy will be unstoppable.
