The reemergence of Beto O’Rourke, this time as a candidate for Texas governor, is further proof that we’re scraping the bottom of the barrel for saviors to rise from these streets. Once a rising star, O’Rourke is likely to end his bid to replace Texas Gov. Greg Abbott as a three-time loser. (Snip) Aside from losing elections, he also lost his way. I'd not get cocky about this. O'Dourke lost to Ted Cruz by a very slim margin in 2018, 50.9% to 48.3%, and as his father thought, the Mexican nickname seems effective in winning the Mexican vote. And atop the non-Americans (anchor babies etc) who vote, Texas is flooded with "newcomers" from liberal pestholes. In the 2018 Texas Senate race, 64% of Latinos voted for Skateboard Bobby versus 35% for Ted Cruz. In the Texas governor's race, 53% of Hispanics voted for Democrat Lupe Valdez versus 42% for Republican Greg Abbott. In 2018 US House races nationwide, 69% of Latinos voted for Democrats versus 29% vote voted Republican. https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2018/11/09/how-latinos-voted-in-2018-midterms/

Abbott is vulnerable after the freeze and the continuing border nonsense. He's not vulnerable to Beto or his ilk. Beto actually did Abbott a favor by essentially cutting off any major party candidacy by Matthew McConaughey. If Beto wins the Dem nomination, he and McConaughey fight over the same pack of witless voters. And that's not enough to win election for either.

All the Demonrat Marxist Socialists are BAD choices…. Beavis O’Dork is the best bad choice they’ve got— Their only hope is that the voter integrity legislation passed by the Texas Legislature gets thrown out and they can cheat again! The very notion of giving away money to illegals while others are working their butts off and coming for our guns alienates Texans to no end. All the outside money in the world will not make a difference when so many Texans (including transplants who are coming for jobs) cannot buy people off. He will lose just like the last several candidates have and parents are ticked off about the indoctrination and brainwashing of their children in the public schools and the loss of purchasing power in their take home pay.

According to his bio on Wiki, Beto supposedly is a small business owner. But in terms of running for office, he is about as squirrely as they come. If I lived in Texas, I would vote for Matthew before voting for Beto, and I do not vote for democrats.

FTA: "At moments of crisis throughout American history, the right leader—Lincoln, FDR, Reagan—usually emerges. Well, it feels like we are overdue for just such a savior." This thinking is precisely why our federal government has been infiltrated by communists. Pushback from the people is sorely lacking and is being interpreted as either complacency or cowardice by the rabid leftists, thus encouraging them to double down on thuggery and openly anti-constitutional rhetoric and actions. Sure, I'd vote for Trump but depending on Trump to singlehandedly save our Republic is not going to put the commies and their shock troops back in their box.
