Afghanistan's new Taliban rulers won backing from 10 regional powers at talks in Moscow on Wednesday for the idea of a United Nations donor conference to help the country stave off economic collapse and a humanitarian catastrophe.
Russia, China, Pakistan, India, Iran and five formerly Soviet Central Asian states joined the Taliban in calling for the UN to convene such a conference as soon as possible to help rebuild the country.
They said it should take place "with the understanding, of course, that the main burden...should be borne by the forces whose military contingents have been present in this country over the past 20 years."

Shove off. We paid with 82 billion in hardware, and 5000 US lives thrown away on a country that never wanted the freedom we tried to force feed them.
No more money or commitment to filthy muslim countries. Let the Chinese fund them.

The Taliban and Moscow are like peanut butter and jelly. The US shouldn't give them a dime except that Joey has a soft spot for dictators, thugs and criminals in general and so does everyone in his administration.

Humanitarian missions should be reserved for those who are human. Taliban and militant muslims are excluded from that category. We could have nailed bin Laden without that 20 year occupation of a worthless piece of rock.

Don't worry, Bidet will be more than happy to give them a couple of trillion. We're going to see it would have been cheaper to keep our forces there for 50 years until the Taliban died of old age.

The US couldn't attend the conference due to technical issues? Like what? No jets, military safety, or willing diplomats in the area? Biden administration is full of excuses. They also want the US to help rebuild their country. What do they think we have done for the past 20 years. The US made lots of improvements during our time there that would have never occurred.

Old hash but our best course of action would have been to glaze land after 9/11, step back and monitor. Repeat as necessary to prevent another rising of al Qaeda. Never should have gone in Iraq second time. (P.S. Opportunity to take out Hussein was wasted the first time)

Sure, just send the US the bill. What's another TRILLION or two?

Did Russia pay the bill for all the damage they did with their 1979 invasion of Afghanistan? No? Then STFV.
Let the UN take it our of our dues (which we should stop paying entirely, since the UN is nothing but a group of despots who exist to criticize the US).

We aided that God-forsaken place already. We sent over hundreds of thousands of men, over 2,000 who will never return. We spend untold hundreds of billions of tax dollars (untold, because we all know that government accounting is a huge lie). We left at least $100 billion in material and infrastructure for the enemy to use, sell, or copy at will.
The only thing that I want to send them is on the tip of an ICBM. It is the only worthwhile thing they deserve.

Your first shipment for rebuilding is on the way. A load of big rocks for your mountains along with some wooden brick forms to make adobe bricks to renovate your mud huts. General Milley will be available for CRT instruction for building your new military

Biden will probably agree that the USA should pay, but only if Hunter or Biden’s brothers get to run the program that will distribute billions of American dollars to the Taliban to ensure fairness!
