Cheney begs GOP colleagues at Jan. 6 hearing:
Tell our voters the truth, that the election

Some of them do admit that — when they’re cornered. I’m thinking of Dan Crenshaw being confronted by an election truther at a fundraiser in August and telling the guy that he was kidding himself if he believed there was such widespread fraud that it flipped the result in multiple states. There’s a cohort of hardcore populists within the House GOP whose loyalty to Trump is such that they’ll eagerly parrot any conspiracy theory he likes but most GOP reps who are asked about this tend to mumble something noncommittal about “election integrity” and “unanswered questions” before changing the subject.

Comments:

Keep digging that hole, Liz. You're a lame duck who's going to get clobbered in the primaries next spring.

Is Lieutenant Michael Leroy Byrd attending the meetings? Lieutenant Michael Leroy Byrd shot and killed unarmed Ashli Babbitt inside the Capitol on January 06, 2021. Lieutenant Michael Leroy Byrd is a member of the Capitol Police force. Is Attorney General Merrick "Gestapo" Garland holding back information from the public to suit his agenda? Perhaps Joe "Dementia" Biden and the psychopath White House Press Secretary, Jen "Psycho" Psaki, know more than they're saying.

I thought it was self evidently legit? Why would telling people something self evident be necessary? Why don’t you just explain the “true facts” about, eg, why the vote counting facility in Atlanta announced it was closing for the night and after the poll watchers left counting illegally resumed; why Republican poll watchers were intimidated in Philadelphia; what was the provenance of the mail in ballots which were illegally separated from their validation documents? Etc etc. Just show that and the rest to clear it all up, war criminal’s daughter. I say war criminal’s daughter because i think people should be subject to the rules they support; she has thrown in with the hate filled dims who branded her father a war criminal; she approves of them and what they do.

The election was rigged. The question is.... was the fraud enough to elect Biden. From what I'm seeing.... there were questionable counts in almost every state. And you will never convince me that 80+ million people voted for the brain addled corrupted pervert currently occupying the oval office.

I don't like Republicans being locked out of polling places, and forced to stand 50 yards away. I am not re-asssured by Democrat activists running polling places, hiring their relatives, and pulling boxes from under tables, after the Republicans have been forced to leave. It is not re-assuring that after a year, state legislatures have not been provided with all the information to complete an audit. No audit has been completed. I saw Republicans intimidated and threatened in order to obtains certifications that would never have happened otherwise. I don't much admire fabricating a riot on Jan 6 with Antifa and FBI instigators. Calling out the National Guard and Military against American citizens hasn't won my approval. Counting ballots weeks after election day, and after election totals are known, doesn't quite seem legal. The shutdown of counts simultaneously in 6 states on election night did not re-assure. An senile reprobate that never campaigned winning seems unlikely. Two impeachment hoaxes, the Mueller hoax, and then the election hoax. The Democrats are liars, the media are liars, and surprise, nobody believes liars. And nobody believes Cheney, who stabs her party in the back. You will soon be out of Congress, Cheney. I look forward to it.

If she wants to get the word out, she should hold a press conference in the Fulton county election hall. They have video cameras there! Everyone will see her plain as day. She can emerge from under a skirted table at 1am and tell us how perfectly normal that is. She can keep repeating the same script for 4 straight hours. That would be so normal. Extra normal! Of course there was fraud in key locations like Detroit and Atlanta. Of course Zuckerberg bought key voting locations with a half billion dollars But that time has passed. It is now time to put energy into making sure it doesn't happen again. Action is needed to get as many election integrity laws passed as possible. Voters must be involved - and vote - in state and local elections not just national ones

Why did 5 independent states all stop voting at the same time (one even lied about a watermain break) and while no votes were supposed to be counted the person who was leading in all 5 states was then losing in all 5 states the next morning? What I know is that Obama got 97% of the black vote. What I also know is that there is no way Joe got more than that. I also know that when I went to bed at midnight here in PA Trump was ahead by 200,000 votes when I got up the next morning that exact number of votes for Joe somehow appeared in Philly. Now anyone who lives in this area outside of the city knows that the voting numbers in Philly have always included a number of folks from the cemetary. It is a standing joke. But this number is so beyond the pale that there is no way it stands up to real scrutiny. No Lizzie we will not believe that this election was a fair one. ANyone with an ounce of integrity could never come to that conclusion.

Too dumb to check. Cuomo: Maybe I could

Could it really be possible? Is disgraced former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo seriously considering mounting a political “comeback” and trying to take back his old job as Attorney General? There’s plenty of reason to doubt this story (as we’ll get to in a moment), but multiple outlets began reporting it yesterday, so let’s at least take a look. The story first broke in the New York Post and was later followed up at Mediaite. Other local outlets in the Empire State quickly began putting in calls requesting comment.

President Joe Biden conceded Wednesday that inflation was a problem, three months after dismissing it as temporary. “Everything from a gallon of gas to loaf of bread costs more,” Biden said during an event promoting his infrastructure bill in Baltimore. “And it’s worrisome, even though wages are going up.” The president took a sharply different tone from his comments in July, when he dismissed rising costs and inflation as temporary and nothing to worry about. “Some folks have raised worries that this could be a sign of persistent inflation. But that’s not our view,” he said at the White House on July 19.

Republicans are leading RealClearPolitics’ [RCP] general ballot for the first time since 2014, according to the analysis website, which averages notable political polls in an effort to forecast election outcomes. RCP has Republicans up by half a percentage point on its generic congressional vote, showing 43.3 percent support for Republicans and 42.8 percent support for Democrats and potentially foreshadowing a red wave in 2022. Democrats notably maintained the lead in 2020, 2018, and 2016, though RCP showed Republicans ahead by 2.4 percentage points in 2014, halfway through former President Barack Obama’s second term.
