The politically motivated and unprecedented overreaction to a virus with a 99.5% survival rate was launched in March of 2020, thus unleashing what can best be described as a once-in-a-century fiasco. Nineteen months later it is impossible to look at the United States and the world and not conclude that this country and much of the West is in the grip, not of a virus, but of delusional madness and malevolence. (snip) The noted British historian Kenneth Clark in his book and television series Civilisation said that empires fall not just to barbarians and other external enemies, but more so on account of exhaustion and loss of confidence within.
Bob Woodward's new book, Peril, reportedly makes allegations about the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Milley, which if true, make Milley a traitor to our country.
The book indicates that Milley went outside the chain of command and called his counterpart in the Chinese military, Gen. Li Zuocheng, after the 2020 elections. He gave assurances that then-president Trump would not attack China and that if an attack was ordered by the president, Milley he would warn him so it wouldn't be a surprise.
This is extremely problematic on a number of levels.
First, the United States has a civilian military command.
Did anyone really show up for that super scary far-right rally on Saturday? The “Justice for J6” rally was supposed to be ‘insurrection part II: endgame.’ The barricades were set up again around the US Capitol. The police were everywhere; they were decked out in full-blown riot gear. They were prepared this time. They were prepared…for the media? Yeah, typical elite media whiff here. There were more media members than actual protesters. The threat was exaggerated. The liberal media may not know this yet, but even prior to January 6—the far right in America is…not big.

In an article last week, I posited that the silent majority in America is angry and becoming loud. A reader — we'll call him Lloyd — sent me the following: "Trump-supporters are neither silent nor the majority ... and if we had a straight-up popular vote of what the majority of the people want, you'd never win again." I believe that's a challenge to my assumptions. Are conservatives really a majority, or are they just using the Electoral College to occasionally cheat the "will of the people" to win as a minority?
The second part of Lloyd's statement implies that Republicans have an unfair advantage due to the Electoral College.

The outcry has begun to impeach Joe Biden. He should be. Dan Bongino is noteworthy in making the call. And not for “light and transient causes,” to borrow from the Declaration of Independence. Not to stage show trials, like Pelosi, Schumer, and other Democrats did to Donald Trump.

In this way, OSHA, FDA, HHS and CDC can claim that vaccines are safe and effective because there is no data to the contrary.
