The bodies of hundreds of people who died when the coronavirus surged in New York City during the spring are reportedly still in storage in freezer trucks on Brooklyn’s waterfront.
The Wall Street Journal reported about 650 bodies are being stored in the trucks at a disaster morgue that was set up in April on the 39th St. Pier in Sunset Park. Many of those early COVID-19 victims are from families who can’t be located or afford a burial, the city’s Office of Chief Medical Examiner told the Journal.

There was in article in June 2020 about how NYC regulatory highly compensated career bureaucrats had forced many small funeral homes in the burroughs to close because they couldn't afford the costs of the licensing and compliance. Pin this on one more reason why people with incomes are bailing out of New York.

Probably the total is made up of mostly homeless people. Others have family members, but can't afford the services to take care of the body, and I'm sure there are others who can identify the body, but figure government will take care of it.

All that Federal aid to NY and NYC and yet . . . bodies in trucks on a pier at a park . . . Sunset Park, to be exact. Here's dreaming that the sun will finally set on the Left -- especially the Marxist Democrats. May they rot in hell.

NYC has the largest Potter's Field in the US. The average deaths per year before the Covid fantasy hit quite probably matches those currently held on ice now. Lockdown started while the weather was still cold outside - a lot of the deaths being reported probably had nothing whatsoever to do with Covid, but democrats needed to sell the fantasy of a pandemic, so they reported all deaths as Covid - and they still do.

This is unbelievable...cuomo has lost all hope of ever being taken seriously after this...if he manages to pull off an election where he's even in the running... you know for sure that New York is still in the throes of dead men voting and fake ballots....I imagine these poor folks voted for biden at the 2020 presidential election....I'm sure that's why they haven't been listed as officially passed...

Well, I suppose that is better than Cuomo could have done. He could have just left them where they fell. What a guy!!

Who owns those freezers? That is, who is collecting a paycheck each month for warehousing those bodies that are in storage.
If NYC had any investigative reporters, they could follow the money.

I don't believe it at all!!! Last march we heard this BS and, on further examination, the refrigerator trucks were empty and the refrigeration units on the trailers were turned OFF. Some one puts out this story and the press runs with it. no one check, no one bothers to go look inside. Where I live the stories were about how over run the Hospitals, ERs and ICUs were. but drive over and see for yourself. the hospitals parking lots were empty and the ambulances were sitting idle. It wouldn't be prudent or brave for an investigative journalist to buck the system and questions the facts so the story become an urban legend and no one challenges. I'm sure someone from the government can find one trailer with one body somewhere , as a prop for the evening news but these outrageous, outlandish stories are just more propaganda. Check out the CDC files, With all the millions of people who died last year from Covid, the total national death rate was essentially unchanged....Someone please, CALL THEM OUT.

It would be interesting to know who’s getting paid to store those bodies, and how much.

18, you can buy a decent reefer trailer for $25000. New ones are $60000? I’m not sure we buy used lol. You know, those fuel tanks need refilled every other day or so and if the fuel shortage hits they may be turned off for lack of diesel. Assuming it’s a real story, I see some have their doubts. You’d think there would be one curious person in that Godforsaken city
