Starbucks is reportedly considering closing its Facebook page as a result of the 'hateful comments' in response to some of their posts. An internal memo, obtained by Buzzfeed, showed concern within Starbucks at the rhetoric on the site.(Snip)'Anytime they post (organically) in regards to social issues or their mission & values work (e.g. BLM, LGBTQ, sustainability/climate change, etc.) they are overwhelmed by negative/insensitive, hate speech related comments on their posts.' The Facebook employee said that Starbucks was having problems moderating the avalanche of hate speech, and was unable to disable comments on their page. Much of the offensive commentary is swiftly removed.

Hey Starbucks! Quit trying to push marxism and just sell coffee. I have refused to give money to this over priced leftist company for quit a few years. Its easier to either make it at home or drive into any number of road side coffee shops.

I have only been in a Starbucks once, on a long drive with a couple of friends. They wanted coffee and they found a Starbucks inside a grocery store, somewhere in Nebraska. I went along, decided to get a hot chocolate on a cold day. I remember it was quite expensive, and mediocre, at best. I noticed that their coffee was quite expensive, too. Never been before or since.
Coffee upsets my stomach, so I'd never be a customer, anyway, but their politics would make me switch if I had been a customer.

Do these corporate executives really think we look at their FB pages and actually buy their products because of their ads? NOT! We really are not as hard up for entertainment as they think we are. We use FB to see our friends now and the ones we left behind not for advertisements. Getting off of FB will not change anything for them.

We used to go to Starbucks every day. When they decided to let drug users hang out in the rest rooms, we said “That’s it”. Haven’t been back.

Starbucks had a nice business with some nice products. It is unfortunate that Starbucks decided to go into politics, and interfering in their customer's business, instead of running their own business.

I had to meet with a potential client at a Starbucks and I ordered a black coffee. The little soy boy had to be told that I didn't want the half-caf double vente frappocino with whipped cream and sprinkles. I am proud to say I only had half a cup of burnt coffee and sized up a cheat in 20 minutes.

Have to say I just laughed when I saw this. If you only want positive comments stick to making coffee - actually, if you want only positive comments learn how to make decent coffee then sell it for a reasonable price.

The thing about most of the coffee you get is it's not strong enough. Starbucks is much stronger. And similarly strong are the competitors. Do some quick research on the internet about how much coffee to use to imitate Starbucks and you will find that it's about 2 tablespoons per cup(6 oz). And a cup is 6 ounces. A 16 cup coffee maker would need 32 tbsps of coffee. That's two full measuring cups!(16 ozs) Get a 12 ounce bag of coffee at the store and put the whole thing in your 16 "cup" drip coffee maker and it's not as strong as Starbucks. Makes my teeth rattle just thinking about it.

Whether Starbucks is on Fakebook or not, I will still choose not to consume any more of their product. I used to get brewed coffee and beans from them often; but the last thing I got that came from them was over a decade ago.

It has always amazed me that so many people are willing to pay so much money for over priced bitter swill. I do not care for their product or their preaching politics and get along quite well without doing business with them.

New America in a nutshell: It's laudable when woke mega-corporations spread divisive Marxist hatespeech, but problematic when peasants dare to state their objections. The benighted are free to not purchase anything from merchants such as these, but that's increasingly difficult because so many companies are run by radical leftists. The preferred option of the left, which claims to cherish free speech, would be to restrict response from ordinary citizens, the way nearly all newspapers have done.
