For nearly 50 years, until 2009, the United Sates experienced enormous progress in race relations. Thanks to the efforts of individual citizens in their communities and not the nation’s ruling elites and patronizing liberals, this country was well on its way to racial healing. In 2008 only 18% of all Americans were greatly concerned or worried about the state of race relations in the country. By 2017 that number had skyrocketed to 45%. Further, in 2008 66% of Americans thought race relations were good; by 2016, 63% thought race relation were bad. The common denominator in this freefall and primary instigator

NASHVILLE, TN – A Metro Nashville police officer was shot in an ambush while responding to a “set up” call falsely reporting an active shooter at a home in South Nashville. [Tweet] The shooting was reported just after 6 p.m. in the 7200 block of Sugarloaf Drive, located off of Nolensville Pike.
According to MNPD Public Information Officer Don Aaron, police were called to the residence for a report from a man claiming his brother had shot his mother and that the gunfire was continuing:

Fourteen very long months ago, Americans were told we needed “two weeks to flatten the curve” to beat the coronavirus that originated from Wuhan, China.
Since that time the curve has been flattened and broken back on itself. Hospitalizations and deaths are way down from their peak. Common sense 14 months ago was right, and locking the country down wasn’t a good idea.
We have vaccines and they’re widely available to anyone who wants them. Arizona, Florida, Texas, and several other states are more or less fully open and even Pennsylvania is opening in mid-May. California’s Disneyland has been reopened long enough to face a woke controversy over Sleeping Beauty.
Charlie Crist, the state’s former Republican governor turned Democratic congressman, is expected to announce next week that he’s making a second run for governor as a Democrat.
Crist said in a recent television interview that he is considering running for governor and tweeted Saturday that he will make a “major announcement” on May 4 in his home town of St. Petersburg.
Crist won the governor’s mansion as a Republican in 2006 after many years in GOP politics. He decided not to seek a second term, instead running in 2010 for a U.S. Senate seat, which he lost to Sen. Marco Rubio.

Well, color me surprised that the California gubernatorial candidate formerly known as Bruce Jenner has a position on biological boys playing girls’ sports that I actually agree with. Jenner has recently announced his candidacy for governor of California and was asked his position on this issue by TMZ.
Bruce Jenner, who now calls himself Caitlyn, was approached by a TMZ reporter in a parking lot.
“Theres’ legislation in various states to ban biological boys who are trans from playing girls sports in schools. What’s your opinion on that?”
“This is a question of fairness, that’s why I oppose biological boys who are trans competing in girls’ sports in school. It just isn’t fair,”

In Columbus, Ohio on April 20, 2021, Officer Nicholas Reardon had to make a split second decision to intervene as Ma’Khia Bryant rushed toward her potential victim with a knife, after ignoring lawful orders to “get down.” Reardon fired his pistol, striking Bryant and ending the attack.
Aid was rendered at the scene, but Bryant was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Police arrested a man who they say is suspected of stabbing two Asian American women without warning Tuesday afternoon in San Francisco's Mid-Market area.
Officers were sent to 4th and Stockton streets shortly before 5 p.m. and found the wounded women, who were taken to a hospital. There was no immediate word on their conditions.
The women were 65 and 85, authorities said.
Witnesses told KPIX-TV that a man clutching a knife was walking down Market Street when he approached a bus stop, stabbed the women, and then walked away.
