Along with the $2.3 trillion infrastructure boondoggle, it brings to $6 trillion the amount that will be spent this year. But anyone who thinks that swollen federal spending and much bigger government will help the economy return to “normal” after the virus is delusional. In his speech to Congress this week, President Joe Biden heartily patted himself on the back for everything good that is happening right now.
He described a country in crisis when he took office and said that “After 100 days of rescue and renewal, America is ready for a take off.”
