Former Vice President Walter Mondale, one of the architects of Minnesota's liberal tradition, has died, his family announced Monday. He was 93. Along with Hubert Humphrey in the 1960s, Mondale put Minnesota on the map as a reliably blue state. Mondale started his career in Washington in 1964, when he was appointed to the Senate to replace Humphrey, who had resigned to become vice president. Mondale was elected to a full six-year term with about 54% of the vote in 1966, although Democrats lost the governorship and suffered other election setbacks. In 1972, Mondale won another Senate term with nearly 57% of the vote.

Comments:

I won't mention his 49 state shellacking by Ronaldus Magnus in 1984. Instead, I'll just say Rest in Peace and leave it at that

If a prominent Republican like him died the democrats would be cheering high fiving and throwing a big party in celebration. With that in mind I say do unto others as they would do unto you. So it’s party time! Rest in hell. Good bye and good riddance. Not to worry Romney will show up at your funeral and give a eulogy on what a wonderful politician you were and how he wants to emulate your greatness.

Immediately after the Apollo 1 fire in 1967 he made it a political crusade to make NASA and the U.S. space program to the moon look irresponsible and spendthrift. This was detailed in the miniseries From The Earth To The Moon. Nothing but a political opportunist.

His entire family has always displayed a deep reverence for America. He was pre-deceased by his daughter, Eleanor Mondale, who regularly serviced Bill Clinton in the White House.

This past weekend I happened to drive by the location of the 1984 Election Night Party I managed to get an invite to, having done some campaign work for my local GOP Congressman. Easily the most fun election party I ever attended. Nothing beats watching a DemocRat like Mondull get drubbed with a group of like-minded individuals.

Few moments in life are as profoundly lonely as the day after the funeral of a loved one. And if the loss is of a lifelong companion – one's 'strength and stay', as the Queen so elegantly described her husband of 73 years, the Duke of Edinburgh – then it marks the point at which a life, irrevocably changed, must somehow carry on without them. The important paperwork and admin that always accompanies a death is largely done. The well-wishers and consolers have paid their tributes and shared memories. But when the door finally closes and Elizabeth is left alone without her Philip,

Too much freedom is a bad thing because it limits the ability of the state to coerce its subjects (“citizens” seems almost archaic as the Great Reset looms) into behavior they otherwise would resist. That’s the basic message explained to Chris Cuomo by a professor of public health policy that CNN favors with its airtime. We lost an incredible amount of the freedom we formerly took for granted when Covid-19 leaked out of a lab in Wuhan, China, and was greeted by world leaders as a pandemic justifying the radical curtailment of liberty and enhancement of their own power.

In April 2019 then-Attorney General William Barr appointed John Durham as special counsel to investigate the origins of the Russia collusion hoax. Since then, we’ve heard nothing from Durham, moving Donald Trump to ask whether Durham even exists. In fact, there is a theory that Durham doesn’t exist. Instead, says the theory, he’s a made-up figure created solely to push a fake narrative about a non-existent investigation. Wikipedia has John Durham’s bio. The short version is that he’s a Massachusetts native who graduated from law school in 1975, spent two years as a VISTA Volunteer on the Crow Indian Reservation in Montana,

I could see him doing that soon. One of the things I think President Trump wanted President Biden to go and fail on his own" before he made a statement at the border.

Joe Biden’s multiple falls going up the ramp to Air Force One has been the big story of the day. Fortunately, they are saying he’s alright, although typically they are refusing to answer real questions on the matter. As my colleague Sister Toldjah reported earlier, the Biden team is now giving an “excuse,” claiming that Biden fell because of the “wind.” While there was a fair amount of wind as the video showed, if Biden is blown over by the wind, that could be a bigger problem than tripping on stairs.

The Centers for Disease Control guidelines on social distancing may be changing again after a new study shows six feet of distance to avoid the spread of Wuhan coronavirus may not be necessary. During an interview with CNN over the weekend, Dr. Anthony Fauci acknowledged three feet of distance may be sufficient to reopen schools that remain closed. "There's this new study from researchers in Massachusetts, just out this week, it found no significant difference of coronavirus spread in schools where there was six feet of distancing vs. three feet of distancing. But that six foot requirement, that's one of the main hurdles to reopening schools.

He said no one in China cares about it because “they are not a silly people.” But Americans? “Half the country is having a woke competition deciding whether Mr. Potato head has a dick." They must be singing, dancing and toasting champagne right now, because President Joe Biden is the greatest gift ever bestowed upon the Mexican cartels. Experts estimated the money made on drug trafficking by the cartels at around $500 billion a year. That's half a trillion dollars a year -- "trillion" with a T.
