Christianity Today recently published its overview of the 2026 Open Doors World Watch List, identifying the 50 countries where it is most dangerous to live openly as a Christian. While Christianity Today focuses on Syria, newly vaulted into the Top 10, the larger story is more global. According to Open Doors, more than 388 million Christians now live under high levels of persecution or discrimination. That is roughly 1 in 7 believers worldwide. The trend is not driven by a single ideology or region but by a mix of fragile states, militant Islam, criminal networks and increasingly authoritarian governments.

Remembering Thomas Jefferson, 'The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants'. That is even more true of Christianity in that martyrs for the faith are its most important witnesses, or evangelicals, spurring on the growth of Christ's church. For truly what could be worth more than something worth dying for?

Christians are the one group you can persecute and not fear prosecution, Islam, not so much.

My thoughts are that when outlaws go into Churches to disturb services ,it's time for harsh penalties. Don Lemon should get ten years at least for violating these people's Civil Rights. If it had been the Klan going into a black Church the violation would be earth shaking.

Karine Jean-Pierre. Remember her? In 2022, Jean-Pierre made history as the first openly gay black female lesbian of color to serve as White House press secretary. Journalists and other Democrats squealed with joy. In 2025, Jean-Pierre announced she was leaving the Democratic Party to become an independent, primarily as a means of expressing solidarity with Hamas. She wrote a memoir defending Joe Biden's zombie reelection campaign. It was so bad that it forced Democrats to abandon their faith in DEI. They could finally admit that Republicans were right. In the media business, you could say she’s “good copy.” And so today, during oral arguments in a Second Amendment case, Wolford v. Lopez, she did it again. For background, the case itself centers on a Hawaiian law that does not allow people with public carry licenses to have their handguns on them when they are on private property that is open to the public, unless they have prior permission from the owner.
