India’s government is escalating its protests against the State Department’s new curbs on rampant visa fraud by migrant workers at U.S. embassies.
“While we do understand … that visa-related issues pertain to the Sovereign Domain of any country, we have flagged those issues and our concerns of our nationals to the U.S. side, both in New Delhi and in Washington D.C.” an Indian government spokesman said on December 26.
“There are several people who have been stranded in India for an extended period of time … These [delays] have also caused hardship to their families … and also to the education of their children,” he said.
The “several” Indian workers are stuck

Don't have a cow India. If your country wasn't a huge dunghole, maybe your people would stay put.

I know this article concerns the tech industry, but there are other categories of Indian immigrants. Our pastor is from India and a highly educated man from a successful family. Countries we once sent missionary priests to, are now sending missionary priests to us. He speaks English with that lovely Indian/British accent. His sermons are not only spiritually and intellectually stimulating; it's also just a joy to listen to him speak. None of us could pronounce his real first name, Arogyaiah, so he goes by Fr. Aaron.
In his seven years with us he has also become fluent in Spanish in order to say Mass and hear the confessions of our Hispanic parishioners, and members of our mission church 40 miles out in the mountains. I've asked my friends how his accent works in Spanish. They all giggle but love him greatly. He is the only priest to serve our parish that has learned Spanish. All the others contracted out their Mass and confessions to Spanish-speaking priests.
Another cool thing: the one Indian woman who has been a 40-year parishioner is from a town not far from where Fr. Aaron grew up, and his family still lives there. Small town life can be amazing sometimes.

Stupid pacts were entered into by elites without any consultation with the American people. Now, we are drowning in immigrants who have lessened both our quality of life and job opportunities.. We didn’t ask for them, we don’t approve of it and if Indian and other foreign nationals are inconvenienced the shoe may now be moving to the other foot. Build your own economy, India. Stop leeching off of the West.

Clearly the Government of India is attempting to protect their citizens. In that respect it is up to the US Government to also protect US citizens. If Indian citizens who are attempting to be admitted to the USA, or who gain either illegal or legal entry to the USA and commit criminal fraud they should be held to account either by being found to be inadmissible to the USA in accordance with the US Exclusion laws, or the US Deportation laws. There is no doubt that the Government of India would hold US citizens to account under their laws if US Citizens committed crimes that would cause them to be excluded from admission to India or be deported from India. No doubt there is some sort of human smuggling organization in action that has smuggled large numbers of Indian citizens into the USA and has facilitated them being issued commercial drivers licenses to drive long-haul 18 wheeler trucks on the Interstate Highways, through suspected fraud, that the Trump crew should by now have under criminal investigation. Clearly the Trump Administration should continue to protect US citizens by effectively enforcing the US Immigration laws against criminal and illegal aliens who originate in any foreign country.

I'm retired. My former company had lots of US programmers... until the India "invasion". Our programmers had to train their Indian replacements, or they would be fired with no severance. Once the replacements were trained, the US programmers were fired. Get them out of our country... please.

We are sick and tired of foreign workers coming here and taking the jobs away from Americans who were born here, have lived here, and paid taxes for years. Companies who are hiring them should be fined and put out of business if they won't pay Americans to work for them.

The India visa consultants that provide low wage workers to companies in this country are upset because the new vetting process is cutting into their profits. They have gone to their government that profits from the remittances to protest that visas are taking so long to process now. The instant visas vetting was a joke, just like the vetting at our southern border under Biden.

Unfortunately there are a lot of US employers, lawyers, politicians, special interests, and Democrat aligned non-governmental organizations (NGO’s) in return for a few bucks, will give their assistance to any individual alien or group of aliens who are trying to get into the USA

Hey, India, maybe you'd better take a look at your own social problems rather than blame American visa requirements.
