A legacy erased: Happy birthday, George Soros

Original Article

Posted By: franco, 8/13/2025 8:23:18 PM

George Soros turns 95 today, and for his birthday present America brought him the annihilation of his legacy. Soros has been known for two things: making money and spending it on political influence. Over the last few years, he has handed over control of his empire to his son, Alex, and Alex seems unable to do either of those things successfully. [Snip] The second election of Donald Trump—in a race where crime, immigration, and the IRA were three of the major issues—was America’s personal slap to George Soros’ face. Today, on his 95th birthday, his legacy is in shambles. Happy Birthday, George!

Comments:

Son Alex doesn't have father George's "Midas Touch" for "asset acquisition" and has managed to lose ~$2 billion of what I've read elsewhere was a $9 billion net worth. Keep it up, Alex!

The fact that someone so completely evil could live to such an old age suggests there is no justice in the world. The one shining light is that I will probably live to see him assume room temperature. That day will be a good one.

I heard Glenn Beck talk about this this morning. It's obvious that this article was his source. I can't remember, but I hope he gave credit to his source, Parker Thayer. One thing Glenn mentioned that I did not see in this article was that Soros (from a non-observing Jewish family) worked as a teenager gathering household possessions from the homes of Jews who had been carted off by the Nazis. These possessions were then sold.

I don't understand how he missed the Nuremberg Trials. He was a concentration camp guard, so I've read. Oh well, he's old, probably has dementia or could already be dead and they're just not saying. Junior doesn't seem as smart as daddy. Here's hoping he goes broke real soon.

I am reminded of the great quote from Clarence Darrow: "I've never killed a man, but I've read many an obituary with great satisfaction." Soros the younger seems to be too occupied with that sweet, hot Huma to try and continue his Dad's work. Kinda like Scott not willing to take up the family business from his loving Dad, Dr. Evil.

Interesting article. I don't believe anyone who hears the name Soros, thinks it's of it in a positive way. The Soros name is now associated with crime, compliant DA's and judges, and open borders to disrupt civil society which was a perfect match for today's Democrats believing they had a winning platform.

Beijing is quietly discouraging Chinese firms, particularly those tied to state and/or national security interests, from using Nvidia's H20 AI chips, even after the Trump administration reversed a U.S. sales ban in exchange for 15% of related revenue. The move follows Beijing's concerns over a potential "backdoor" in the H20, an allegation Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has rejected. The report comes from the Financial Times, which states that regulators at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) instructed tech companies, such as Alibaba and ByteDance, to explain why they need H20 chips instead of sourcing domestic alternatives.

By all accounts, even those of liberal media outlets, the Democratic National Committee is broke. Under the leadership of chairman Ken Martin, the DNC is facing a full-blown financial crisis. But how did it come to this? Well, donor flight is one part of the answer. Since President Trump and J.D. Vance took office in a historic victory, the DNC's once-reliable donor class has slammed the brakes on contributions. But the bigger story, and one the mainstream press won't touch, is that a critical pipeline of cash has been shut off: the massive taxpayer-funded slush fund known as USAID.
