A woman who allegedly socked a pro-life activist during a street interview in Harlem, New York, last week has been arrested, the New York Post reported. Brianna J. Rivers, 30, was arrested on Thursday and is facing one count of second-degree assault for allegedly punching 23-year-old Savannah Craven Antao in the face during a video interview about abortion, according to the New York City Police Department (NYPD). “Just got word from detectives Brianna J Rivers was arrested! God is good!,” Craven Antao said in an Instagram post. “Thank you detectives at the 28th precinct NYC! #BlueLivesMatter #JusticeIsServed #ThankYouGod,” she added in the post caption.

Excellent! Let her explain herself before a judge. Hopefully a civil lawsuit will follow!

I’m beginning to wonder if one of our posters is a troll who posts gibberish to make us all look stupid. Anyway, back to the article. it looks like the argument for the defense is shaping up to be that the aggressor was provoked beyond her endurance by difficult divisive questions but if she can’t handle the rough and tumble of life in the big city maybe she needs to stay indoors. Boasberg Should Be the One Held in Contempt,

Despite leftist U.S. District Judge James Boasberg finding probable cause to hold the Trump administration in contempt of court on Wednesday for violating his previous order, Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz believes Boasberg should be the one held in contempt instead “for issuing such a vague order.” Boasberg attempted to block the administration from using the Alien Enemies Act for deporting Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang members, but Boasberg never issued a binding order, Dershowitz explained. “He issues an order first orally, in which he talks about bringing the planes back. You can't just bring planes back. That's not easy. That might not be safe.

President Trump on Wednesday found a way around an effort by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), who tried to block one of his nominees for a federal prosecutor role in New York. Trump announced his appointment of Jay Clayton as interim U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, which would circumvent the Senate confirmation process that Schumer intended to block. “I am pleased to announce that Jay Clayton will serve as the Interim United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York. During my First Term, Jay served with great distinction as the Chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission, and earned the respect of everyone," Trump said.

You might have thought that Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) would be back by now after he got rejected from seeing or talking with El Salvadoran national Kilmar Abrego Garcia in El Salvador. That would have been smart. But he appears to still be there and still grandstanding. After being told bluntly by the Central American nation's vice president that the senator wasn't going to be able to get in to see Garcia at CECOT, it looks like Van Hollen decided to go there anyway to try to get in. It didn't go well. He says he was stopped by soldiers.

Death row inmates granted clemency by former President Joe Biden sued the Trump administration on Wednesday for ordering their incarceration under the most “oppressive conditions” available. President Donald Trump issued an executive order on his first day in office that directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to ensure 37 death row inmates were “imprisoned in conditions consistent with the monstrosity of their crimes and the threats they pose,” which the lawsuit alleges is unconstitutional. “By categorically condemning Plaintiffs to indefinite incarceration in harsh conditions in response to their receipt of clemency from the previous President, it exceeds the statutory authority granted to the Attorney General and her deputy,

President Trump is delivering on promises not to forget about the people who were largely abandoned by the Biden administration after a catastrophic hurricane destroyed much of Western North Carolina. Major roads were completely wiped out after Hurricane Helene, making rescue efforts in the area even harder. Many North Carolinians who survived the devastating wreckage had to suffer through a cold, wet winter in makeshift homes and relied on local support and the Cajun Army for help … until President Trump took office. Matt Van Swol, a reformed Democrat, has been extensively reporting on the situation in Western N.C. and East Tennessee,

Maryland Gov. Wes Moore (D) has endorsed Sen. Chris Van Hollen’s (D-MD) trip to El Salvador to ensure that an accused MS-13 gang member illegal alien is “brought back home to Maryland” after he was deported in March. Instead of doing the job his constituents elected him to do in Washington, DC, the left-wing senator has taken time off to go on a trip to El Salvador “to discuss the release” of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran national who illegally entered the United States and lived in Maryland until his arrest by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE):

Questions are now being raised about a foreclosure sale in December 2008 that involved James as a purchaser. Documents show her name appearing on the “Final Foreclosure Accounting” for the purchase of a single-family home at 21 Peters Street in Martinsville, Virginia. Two other names appear on the same document as additional purchasers, Johnsie Finney and Philip Finney. The recent deportation of MS-13 gang member and Salvadorian citizen Kilmar Ábrego García, whose gang affiliation invalidated his U.S. residency, has drawn attention to the Salvadorian prison where he is now being held. El Salvador’s Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT) is the brainchild of President Nayib Bukele, who operated on the premise that anyone bearing gang tattoos was likely a member, since non-gang-members with gang tattoos were often killed by gang members. Bukele tasked his police and military forces with rounding up known gang members and domestic terrorists, many of whom are now locked away in this ultra-secure facility. Since the crackdown began in March 2022, El Salvador’s murder rate has dropped
