The Democratic Party has filed a lawsuit against President Donald Trump over an executive order designed to maintain integrity in federal elections.
Because, of course they are.
The suit, filed in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia on Monday, cites several plaintiffs, including most notably the Democratic National Committee (DNC), House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY).
It's nice that Schumer and Jeffries got over their tiff long enough to join forces to stop the President from keeping non-citizens from voting.
"In the United States of America, the President does not get to dictate the rules of our elections," the court filing reads.

If Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) hopes his all-night theatrics on Monday will be remembered, thanks to one of his staff members, they will be.
Booker’s staff member, Kevin A. Batts, was arrested Monday evening for carrying a pistol on Capitol grounds moments before Booker began an all-night speech on the Senate floor protesting President Donald Trump’s America First agenda, NOTUS reported.
A NOTUS reporter witnessed the staffer, Kevin A. Batts, being arrested Monday at 6:29 p.m. Eastern as Booker prepared to begin his speech around 7:00. “He was handcuffed and placed in the backseat of a [U.S. Capitol Police (USCP)] vehicle outside the Senate-side of the Capitol,” according to that report.

A judge is barring President Donald Trump from ending the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) amnesty given to 530,000 Venezuelans — including Tren de Aragua gangsters — by President Joe Biden’s deputies.
A California-based U.S. District Court Judge, Edward Chen, cited the migrants’ economic activity as if that entitled them to legal status regardless of U.S. laws and politics,[snip] The California-born judge was nominated by President Barack Obama.
“This is what we mean by judicial tyranny,” responded Stephen Miller, Trump’s policy chief, adding:

Gun controls, including a semiautomatic firearms ban and ammunition controls, secured final passage in the Colorado legislature Friday and have been sent to Gov. Jared Polis’s (D) desk.
On February 20, 2025, Breitbart News noted that the semiautomatic firearms ban had passed the Colorado Senate. In order to secure Gov. Polis’s support, Senate Democrats added language to the ban which allows gun purchasers to secure an exemption to the prohibition by going through a process similar to concealed carry permit vetting, then taking a “four-hour training course.” Would-be purchasers who do not have hunter safety certification will have to go through a bit more training in order to secure the exemption.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., scolded NPR CEO Katherine Maher over her past statements during Wednesday’s fiery DOGE subcommittee hearing on alleged biased content on public media.
After opening statements, Greene blasted Maher, who testified along with PBS CEO Paula Kerger and two other witnesses, for her previous job of overseeing Wikipedia, saying it’s a "platform that doesn’t tell the truth." Greene then read personal statements that Maher previously made on social media so the "public can understand" her views.
Greene noted Maher has called President Donald Trump a "deranged, racist sociopath," has said America is "addicted to White supremacy" —

Rochester leaders scolded local cops for violating their sanctuary city policies after they responded to a request for backup from Border Patrol agents conducting a traffic stop.
Border Patrol asked for emergency police assistance on Monday after pulling over a van with an estimated eight people inside.
Rochester cops responded to the scene with lights and sirens, ordered the suspects out of the vehicle and helped put them in handcuffs, according to local WABC affiliate WHAM.
It was not immediately known why the van was stopped.
But the completely routine police response was enough to raise the ire of Democratic Rochester Mayor Malik Evans, who held a press conference on the incident Wednesday.

Something smells fishy about the latest developments in the ongoing 'Signalgate' situation, and it's not just The Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg's questionable ethics in lurking in private government communications. A deeper dive into Signal reveals connections that should have every American concerned about the intersection of Big Tech, liberal media, and government communications.

It turns out that Maher, the current CEO of NPR, who testified before Congress on Wednesday, sits on the board of directors of Signal.“From 2022 to 2023, Maher was a member of the U.S. State Department's Foreign Affairs Policy Board, an expert panel established in 2011 by then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to advise U.S. officials.”

More often than not, our supposed intellectual betters on the left remind us that having a fancy college degree does not always equate to "smarts." That was definitely the case Tuesday after Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) weighed in on the announcement by the FBI that a task force had been created specifically to investigate the violent attacks against Tesla showrooms.
On Monday, FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed the existence of the task force [snip] With that in mind, we turn to his fauxrage over the task force, which he - incredibly - equated to "political weaponization of the DOJ" and "lawfare"

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has hit back at left-wing Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) after she mocked his use of a wheelchair, claiming the Democrats have “nothing to sell but hate.”
The firebrand Texas lawmaker was slammed after she branded Abbott “Governor Hot Wheels” on Saturday during a Human Rights Campaign dinner in Los Angeles.[snip]
She responded to the criticism by bizarrely claiming her remarks had nothing to do with Abbott’s disability. “I wasn’t thinking about the governor’s condition — I was thinking about the planes, trains, and automobiles he used to transfer migrants into communities led by Black mayors,

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) has hit reverse on his sneering comment about Tesla stock dropping, saying he was “being a smart-ass” when he said he was reveling in watching it head south. He hastened to add anyone who took offense at his caustic quip lacked a sense of humor to match his own.
“I have to be careful about being a smart-ass, I was making a joke,” Mediaite reports Walz said.
He then referenced those who took offense, saying “These people have no sense of humor [snip} Walz’s semi-apology came after it was reported the Minnesota State Board of Investment’s pension fund owned approximately 1.8 million shares of Tesla stock.
