The Protection Racket Media has seized (or is it pounced?) on protests at town-hall meetings over DOGE cuts to the federal bureaucracy. A poll published this week by the firm Ipsos found Canada’s leftist Liberal Party overtaking the Conservatives in support for the first time since 2021, shortly before an expected election to replace Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The survey, published on Wednesday in conjunction with the media outlet Global News, found the two parties within the margin of error of each other’s support. About 38 percent of respondents said they supported the Liberal Party, compared to 36 percent for the Conservatives. Support for the New Democratic Party (NDPs), a far-left rival to the Liberals, almost entirely collapsed to 12 percent. The poll’s margin of error is 3.8 percent.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) said that recent anti-GOP protests at various town halls were “paid” for by Democrats.
Johnson made his claim during an interview with Kaitlan Collins on CNN.
“The videos you saw of the town halls were for paid protesters in many of those places,” Johnson said. “These are Democrats who went to the events early and filled up the seats.”
Collins said that Johnson could not “argue they were all paid protesters,” adding that a “Republican acknowledged they were his constituents.”

Legendary actor, two-time Oscar winner and author Gene Hackman and his wife, classical pianist Betsy Arakawa, were found dead Wednesday afternoon in their home in the Santa Fe Summit community northeast of the city.
Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza confirmed just after midnight Thursday the couple had died, along with their dog.
Mendoza said in an interview Wednesday evening there was no immediate indication of foul play. He did not provide a cause of death or say when the couple might have died.

He fared so badly in his one debate that he resorted to calling himself a knucklehead, and in general performed so bizarrely that by the end of the campaign, 60% of the country thought he was gay.
So if you want to be charitable, maybe that embarrassment explains his outburst before a Minnesota nurses’ union group on Tuesday, where he said that the country is being “stolen by fascists and Nazis.” (X) I don’t suppose he means the election was stolen, so he must mean that the actions the Trump administration
Attorney General Pam Bondi sent a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel on Thursday instructing him to look into allegations that FBI agents are concealing documents related to pedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein.This development comes as the Justice Department released the first tranche of documents revealing Epstein’s alleged associates to conservative online influencers.
In the letter, Bondi notes that she “repeatedly questioned whether this was the full set of documents responsive to my request and was repeatedly assured by the FBI that we had received the full set of documents.”
Democrats have found an immigrant they don't like, and that would be Elon Musk, who dared to support President Donald Trump during the campaign and now works with him to get to the bottom of government waste and fraud.
