A drunk driver who admitted to crashing into and killing a bride on her wedding night has asked a judge to reduce her sentence.
Jamie Lee Komoroski was ordered to spend 25 years behind bars after pleading guilty to causing the death of newlywed Samantha Miller.
Komoroski, 27, plowed into Miller, 34, and her new husband Aric Hutchinson, 37, while the couple were riding on a golf cart following their wedding reception.
At her sentencing, Komoroski said she was 'devastated, deeply ashamed and terribly sorry' for her actions, which also left Hutchinson seriously injured.
She was given 25 years for a reckless homicide charge, 15 years for two DUI involving great bodily injury charges

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is a bureaucracy created out of thin air by socialist Elizabeth Warren. Democrats pretend the bureau is just there to protect consumers which is B.S. Their budget is not controlled by Congress or anyone. They are funded by the Federal Reserve, which is losing hundreds of billions per year. Most of what they do is protecting their own jobs, and they are very highly paid people. The bureau is just another layer of regulators to whom private businesses have to cater.

Days after a satanic statue was erected in front of the New Hampshire State House it was torn down in an act of vandalism that many believe was justified.
The display in Concord – purportedly for the holidays – was put up by the Satanic Temple of Vermont and New Hampshire last Saturday, By Tuesday, it was in pieces. The city had reportedly sanctioned the demon statue to be allowed alongside a Christmas tree, nativity scene, and Bill of Rights displays citing First Amendment rights.
“The display depicted the pagan deity Baphomet and the Satanic Temple’s seven fundamental tenets.

Time magazine has seriously rattled cages with its annual selection of honors for 2024, and one WNBA owner isn’t down with the pick of superstar rookie Caitlin Clark as the publication’s “Athlete of the Year,” whining that it could lead to racism.
On Friday, Washington Mystics owner Sheila Johnson went on CNN to protest Clark’s recognition as the face of a league filled with surly black lesbians that few cared about until the college wunderkind arrived on the scene, drawing national attention to the WNBA and packing venues when her Indiana Fever was the visiting team.

Disgraced RINO and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie cannot seem to catch a break even when he is out of the spotlight.
As Jim Hoft previously reported, several mysterious drones were spotted flying over Christie’s home state of New Jersey last week. The drones were spotted in at least 12 counties, prompting mayors to contact the governor and demand answers. (Snip) At the same time, Trump is keeping his biting sense of humor. Earlier this afternoon, the president-elect took to Truth Social to roast Christie.
Trump posted an AI-generated photo that is absolutely devastating to the governor.

For years, Democrats have made a spectacle of their disdain for President Trump at every opportunity, so it should come as no surprise that once again, Democrats are planning to boycott his inauguration. The same thing happened in 2017, when they skipped Trump’s inauguration because they claimed he’d stolen the election with the help of Russia. Now, after Trump won a landslide electoral college victory as well as the national popular vote, Democrats are once again coming up with excuses to skip the event.
According to a report from Axios, more than a dozen congressional Democrats have announced that they're going to skip the event,

At least 36,000 individuals from China, many of whom are young men of military age, have entered America illegally since President Joe Biden repealed the secure border left to him by his predecessor and successor in the Oval Office, Donald Trump.
Let's not forget that hundreds of individuals known to be terrorists have also entered the country illegally as a result of Biden's throwing the border doors wide open to all comers. And those numbers only account for the individuals known to have crossed into the U.S. illegally.

I think if you were writing a movie about the comeback of Donald Trump, and you tried to sell it, people probably would have told you that they wouldn't buy it because no one would believe it. (Snip) The Time magazine cover was actually a good picture, making him look lean, powerful, and ready. (Snip) Meanwhile, the cherry on the top was how mad the left was over it. Former CNN stooge Don Lemon was just beside himself, unable to understand how Time could have done this.

The libertarian in me insists that a private business should be able to refuse business to anyone. Back in the days before all the pettifoggery about "places of public accommodation" became accepted, it wasn't uncommon to see signs in bars, restaurants, and the like stating, "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone."
These same private businesses, though, also have the right to expect their employees to accept management's rules about who and who won't be served. So when a District of Columbia restaurant server announced her refusal to wait on Trump officials, her employer took swift action that would probably bring a grin to the president-elect's face.

Some liberals cannot accept defeat—this is what happens when you have the needle in you nice and deep. The bubble these people reside in was dense and just as insane, with some Democrats thinking that Florida was going to flip for the Democrats. Even sadder is how some felt post-election fundraising emails were evidence that Kamala Harris would still win the election. The cope has been insane: [Tweet, videos]
The latest conspiracy theory is that JD Vance will “turn state’s evidence” against President-elect Donald J. Trump and Elon Musk for stealing the 2024 election: [video]
It’s not going to happen.

In a recent investigation by President-elect Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a whistleblower revealed a concerning issue involving a federal worker who moved to Florida yet still received a paycheck from Washington, D.C. This discovery raises questions about the integrity of government workers and highlights the implications remote work has on taxpayer funds. As the issue continues, it underscores the need for transparency and efficiency within government operations.
A whistleblower has reportedly come forward to Republican Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA), alleging that a worker at the Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) in Washington, D.C., has lived in Florida for years.
