Comedian and talk show host John Oliver stirred up some controversy during a recent broadcast in which he argued that allowing trans-identified men to compete in girls’ sports was acceptable and not a risk to the safety of female athletes.
“Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling quickly countered Oliver’s claims and explained why forcing female athletes to compete with men is unfair and dangerous.
During the episode, Oliver discussed how Republicans effectively used Vice President Kamala Harris’ support for biological males in women’s sports against her during the 2024 campaign. He lamented the fact that Harris’ campaign failed “to formulate a response, especially because it’s pretty easy to do.”

Senator-elect Adam Schiff (D-CA) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that he did not overstate President-elect Donald Trump’s collusion with Russia during the 2016 campaign.
Host Jake Tapper said, “I’m looking at these nominees, Tulsi Gabbard to be director of National Intelligence possibly Kash Patel to be head of the FBI. Gaetz at DOJ, RFK Jr. at HHS and others and obviously he is bringing a group of people to disrupt. I mean, that is what Speaker Johnson said. I’m wondering about how much anybody in Washington is is being introspective at all about why there is this kind of opening for disruptors, if not necessarily these individuals.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that “America deserves better” than President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet picks.
Host Kristen Welker said, “I want to ask you now about that report that the House Ethics committee was set to vote on to release into former Congressman Matt Gaetz, of course, President-elect Trump’s pick to be the next attorney general. Speaker Johnson is now saying that the report should not be released. What’s your reaction to what Speaker Johnson is saying?”
Jeffries said, “Of course, it should be released. And that’s not just Democrats saying that. You have repeatedly seen Senate Republicans

Space has become a critical domain for national security and is now seen as a potential “warfighting domain.”
Once considered a benign and cooperative environment, it has evolved into a battleground for global power dynamics.
In response, during his first term, President Trump revitalized the National Space Council, inaugurated Space Force, and championed initiatives like the Artemis Accords and NASA’s Lunar ambitions.
Additionally, through his relationship with Elon Musk and SpaceX, Trump aims to accelerate the development of U.S. space capabilities, ensuring the nation stays ahead of rivals like Russia and China.

In recent weeks, rumors have swirled that President Trump may nominate former Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Dr. Ben Carson for the role of Surgeon General.
On Sunday morning, Dr. Carson laid those rumors to rest.
In a post on X, Dr. Carson wrote, “I am excited to speak with President Trump about how I will continue to advance the America First agenda, and I am meeting with him in the near future.”
Carson added, “However, contrary to reports, I will not be serving as the Surgeon General.”

Two of the best pieces of advice I've ever received in my life came from my brother, who gifted me with these gems: "Never pass up a free meal or a free beer," and "Always be careful where you stick your finger next." I have passed those tidbits on myself from time to time, and I'm going to have to add "Never pay any serious attention to modern art" to the list.
Why? At Sotheby's in New York, the latest iteration of a work of art consisting of a banana duct-taped to a wall is expected to fetch a million dollars at auction.
Yes, really.

If you don’t live in a deep blue area, you might not understand just how hostile most of the population in some of those places has been to Trump—even the idea of Trump—since the moment he came down the golden escalator in 2015. Wear a MAGA hat in a place like Los Angeles, and you might lose friends, your family, your job, and you’d face constant confrontation. Put a Trump sticker on your car, and start saving up for all the repairs you’ll soon be facing because it will be vandalized as soon as you walk away.
But that could be changing since President-elect Donald Trump cruised to a landslide victory

Everywhere you look, Democrats are highly distressed by Donald Trump's magnificent victory and the GOP’s trifecta sweep. With honest reporting, however, missing from mainstream media for more than two decades, Democrats might have avoided their current pain and gnashing of teeth.
Gaslighting as the Norm
An honest press would have reported that Kamala Harris was ducking key questions, botching interviews, and offering word salad responses. Worse, she learned nothing from one interview to the next, and she was unprepared to address fundamental issues while her handlers ignored these deficiencies.

Does truth mean anything anymore? Facts? Actual points of evidence that say precisely what something is?
Is there zero responsibility by those who have platforms, readers, viewers, listeners to represent what they discuss as true?
I only ask because, and I’m not sure many have noticed, but as the left continues to reel from its loss in the presidential race, and as they continue to try to steal the U. S. Senate seat in Pennsylvania, they are also getting very loose with their tongues.
Last week a former congressman, turned failed Presidential candidate, turned failed talk show host,

No one can claim that there isn't an obesity epidemic in America. It's been the topic of countless news stories and has spawned all kinds of futile movements to get Americans healthier. Now that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is going to be in a position to do something about it, and I mean really do something about the root causes, the mainstream is doing everything they can to downplay the crisis in favor of undermining the movement to make America healthy again.
This past week, the New York Times lamented how "Boxes of brightly colored breakfast cereals, vivid orange Doritos and dazzling blue M&Ms

A bizarre attack on the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence in Washington DC earlier this year was like “an emotional buzzsaw,” as she pushed for the perpetrators to get the “maximum possible sentence,” according to America’s archivist.
Colleen Shogan, who also serves as the head of the National Archives and Records Administration, spoke in court Tuesday before a federal judge at the sentencing of a career climate protestor who, along with a partner, helped smear red paint on display cases holding the historic documents.
The Valentine’s Day incident was a willful assault on “our shared past and the beliefs which unite us as Americans,”
