The Pentagon is shirking its duty when it comes to providing active military members with the fundamental resources necessary to vote, according to three Republican congressmen. Reps. Brian Mast (R-FL), Mike Waltz (R-FL), and Bill Huizenga (R-MI) all signed a letter directed to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin demanding more resources for servicemembers. “We urge you to mobilize all the necessary resources over the next seven days to give every American citizen wearing our nation’s uniform the opportunity to vote if they so desire, pursuant to all federal and state regulations governing elections,” the letter states.

America Failed Kamala

Americans had the opportunity to elect Kamala Harris. And we had failed to live up to her.
[A]s Michelle Obama told us, we were not good enough for her.
Perhaps one day we will be. And Harris, along with Hillary Clinton, can wait in the wings, sipping chardonnay and listening to selections from Oprah Winfrey's book club until we show that we are ready for them to finally come and save us from ourselves. Decades may pass. Even centuries. But surely one day Americans will finally be ready for a completely inept president.
On Day One, President Trump must take immediate action to protect migrant children by completely overhauling the Office of Refugee Resettlement within the Department of Health and Human Services. The current catastrophe has resulted in thousands upon thousands of children vanishing into the unknown, many into the hands of traffickers. The true number remains unknown as the government has lost track of so many of these vulnerable souls. Those in the current administration who have deliberately weakened or eliminated crucial sponsor vetting procedures must be removed. The safety of vulnerable children cannot be sacrificed for administrative expediency.
At times like this, it’s tempting to gloat, but conservatives must be gracious winners. We must be courteous to our defeated opponents even though they would not have shown us the same respect had Kamala Harris won. We must resist the temptation to revel in their misery.
With cordiality and sophistication in mind, I’ll use the most dignified analogy I can think of in describing what Democrats are going through at this very moment. When I was in fifth grade, some kid pooped himself while doing pull-ups in gym class. He was mortified. I’ll never forget the look on his face. For more than 30 years after that moment,
Democrats bet big on “reproductive rights” this election cycle, with Planned Parenthood even offering free abortions near their national convention. But the strategy didn’t pay off. Not only was abortion a flop with the electorate, it was Republicans—not Democrats—who pushed the winning women’s-rights issue: fighting the encroachment of biological men into women’s spaces and sports. “We will get. . . transgender insanity the hell out of our schools, and we will keep men out of women’s sports,” Donald Trump said to roaring applause at his Madison Square Garden rally a week before the election.
Over the last quarter century, progressives argued that we should decriminalize drugs, stop enforcing laws against nonviolent crimes, and radically reduce the number of people in prison. This softer approach to crime, addiction, and homelessness was demonstrably more effective and compassionate than tougher models, they said. Hundreds of articles, books, documentaries, TV segments, and fact sheets all buttressed this worldview.
We all needed more empathy for those committing crimes, more empathy for drug dealers, the activists said, and soon the politicians did, too. In that frenzy of compassion, it wasn’t the criminals who were demonized, but the victims.

Former Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger (IL) said he has “no fear” about president-elect Trump’s second term in office .
“Can I be clear about something? I have absolutely no fear of Trump. Honest to God,” the anti-Trump Republican posted on Instagram Threads.
“This narrative that his opponents are intimidated is what MAGA wants to believe. No, we are REINVIGORATED,” he added.
Kinzinger has been known for his critical comments about Trump and notably served on the House Committee designated to review the January 6 Capitol insurrection.
As the former president returns to office, he has threatened to use military force on those who are openly against his decisions.
Of all the excesses of the four-year Trump interregnum that was the Biden-Harris administration, none was worse than the left’s use of our legal system to exact political retribution and “send a message” to those who dared oppose progressive extremism. It had all the markings of totalitarian behavior, but now it’s going down in flames.
The idea of America as a nation ruled by laws, not by the biases and whims of political powers, has been central to our country’s identity and stability since its very founding. It’s what makes our country unique in the world.

She took on the thankless job of outmaneuvering the dirty tricks of her opponents in her new role as co-chairman of the Republican National Committee. “We don’t have one day of voting, we don’t have paper ballots, we don’t have voter ID everywhere,” she said pointing out the reality of winning on a new playing field. “We have to play the hand we’re dealt.”
San Francisco Mayor London Breed lost her re-election bid Thursday night to Levi Strauss heir Daniel Lurie following years in which the liberal city struggled with sky-high crime and deteriorating quality of life.
Breed, whose tenure began in 2017, said she called Lurie, a venture capitalist, to concede the election two days after voters went to the polls in the rank-choice election.
“Being Mayor of San Francisco has been the greatest honor of my lifetime. I’m beyond grateful to our residents for the opportunity to serve the City that raised me,” she said in a statement.

Arizona Senate Race Finally Decided

Four days after Election Day 2024, a winner has finally been projected in the Arizona senate race. Democrat Ruben Gallego narrowly defeated Republican Kari Lake, according to Decision Desk HQ, and will fill the seat currently held by Independent Kyrsten Sinema. The race was tight. As of 10:35 p.m. on Saturday night, with 88% of precincts reporting, Gallego had 49.7% of the vote, compared to Lake's 48.2%. Independent Eduardo Quintana, who is a member of the Green Party, earned 2.1%.
Los Angeles County voters have chosen to pass Measure A, which will raise sales taxes by a quarter of a percent to fund homeless services.
The referendum, which seemed in doubt until recently, passed with 57% support.

Even those of us who were appalled by Kamala Harris’s campaign, the ever more embarrassing interviews during which she could not answer the simplest of questions unless they were what she ate for breakfast, did not realize that employing celebrity endorsers cost millions of dollars. Most of us probably assumed that those who graced her rally stages or interviewed her for television or podcasts did so because they actually supported her.
John Hinckley Jr., the man who attempted to assassinate President Ronald Reagan in 1981, has been so inundated with requests to do something similar to Donald Trump that he felt compelled to address the situation on social media.
How far gone do you have to be to try and enlist a former attempted assassin to take out the new President-elect — and he's telling you to get a grip? Hinckley's comments indicate enough of an onslaught of requests that it needed to be mentioned.
And it's incredibly troublesome considering Democrat rhetoric over the past several months has already led to two attempts on Trump's life
