Vice President Kamala Harris said Tuesday night she would reject religious exemptions for abortion as president, effectively forcing health-care providers to perform the medical procedure in violation of their moral conscience.
The Democratic presidential nominee has been adamant about passing a bill that would codify Roe v. Wade into law, despite the Supreme Court overturning that decision in 2022. In an interview with NBC News anchor Hallie Jackson, Harris indicated she would refuse to compromise with Republican lawmakers on the abortion legislation. “I don’t think we should be making concessions when we’re talking about a fundamental freedom

If she is so fervent about Freedom why does she want to force people to do what they find is sinful?

“I don’t think we should be making concessions when we’re talking about a fundamental freedom to make decisions about your own body,” Harris said
I thought freedom of worship was THE fundamental freedom the country was founded on. Democrats are only concerned with power over the people-the party of joy & inclusivity my @ss.

The question here is NOT what the woman who wants to do with her body.
It's what the 'freaking' (grow up, Lucianne) DOCTOR wants to do with THEIR body!
There are THREE bodies involved in an abortion - the woman desiring one, the doctor performing one and the baby dying as the result of one.
The doctor has a body TOO - GD it.

All of us religious folk of any denomination need vote Trump unless we agree that the government can rule us in every facet of life and death. This was an easy out for her and would have conned many folk in and vote against Trump because he is….you name it…but her pandering to the extreme LEFT wouldn’t allow such….

Fundamental freedom to force physicians, who still take an oath to do no harm, to kill babies. If I hadn’t retired from practice at age 80, this evil regulation, if somehow approved, would cause it.

FTA: “I don’t think we should be making concessions when we’re talking about a fundamental freedom to make decisions about your own body,”
So Kam, if this is what you believe to be true concerning abortion, then that means we also have fundamental freedom to make our own decisions about vaccines/boosters we may or may not want to take.

Kamala seems to be prioritizing one fundamental freedom (abortion) above all other freedoms. Harris is totally disregarding the freedom of religion that we have in this country. Apparently, the "fundamental freedom" to kill an unborn child overrides a person's religious and/or personal disgust and disapproval of doing so. It seems to be a badge of honor for liberal women.

Um, Kumsalot, you do realize the Supreme Joke has already ruled this idea of yours is unconstitutional. But anything to make sure the angry, unmarried, white females that wears costumes to Taylor Swift concerts get out and vote.

There are a lot of hospitals in this country which are run by various religious denominations. What happens if they decide to shut down rather than kill babies? Where does the citizenry go for medical care?

So the "right" to kill babies trumps the First Amendment right to freedom of religion? Who is a threat to our democracy?

Once again. There is no "right" to abortion.
Once again. There are two lives in a pregnancy, not just one.
Once again. The Supreme Court has already ruled that the government does not have the right to approve or disapprove of abortion.
Try to keep up, Kamala.

#5 makes an excellent point. Freedom of religion existed long before abortion became popular. Just in the last couple of weeks Harris has made her hostility toward religion well known. She doesn’t have the B’s to go after Muslims or Jews but it’s open season on Christianity. It’s the only policy she’s been really clear about.

I agree with heels up...God forgive me...every woman seeking an abortion is in charge and she must negotiate with God.....not the government...she will live the rest of her life thinking about the baby she killed...I live in good conscience knowing I brought my babies to full term and now enjoy their lives with them...and their children...God has rewarded me with a good life and many happy memories in my old age....

The only knowledge that Harris is certain of is that of her own body. It's what has gotten her this far in life.
