When Kamala Harris was picking her running mate this summer, it was Tim Walz’s characterization of J.D. Vance and Donald Trump as “weird” in a series of TV interviews that helped earn him his spot on the ticket. In the weeks that followed, Republicans turned the insult on the Minnesota governor, accusing him of being a bit of a weirdo himself. (Their pretty flimsy case is based on Walz’s sometimes exuberant body language.) But last night’s debate between Vance and Walz was surprisingly, almost disconcertingly, normal.

It should be 'help Israel win". They alone are working hard to stop Hezbollah and Hamas from taking over the country, which is Iran's goal. Note there is no news about other middle east countries helping Israel. France is standing around a shuffling their feet trying to decide if they should move to assist Israel. France gets oil from Iran. Shut Iran down and there will be peace in the middle est.

Kamala Harris desperately needs to deflect responsibility for the ongoing debacle at the border, and she thinks she knows just how to do it. Whenever addressing the issue, she’s sure to accuse Donald Trump of killing the Senate border bill that, in her account, would have locked down the border and thrown away the key. “It was the strongest border security bill we’ve seen in decades,” Harris intoned during her visit to the border late last week. “It was endorsed by the border patrol union, and it should be in effect today, producing results in real time — right now for our country.”

Consumer protection law is designed to protect the public from unscrupulous business schemes. It was never intended to make state bureaucrats the arbiter of every transaction between private parties, much less sophisticated financial actors. That was the distinct message that arose out of last week’s appeals court hearing in state Attorney General Letitia James’ unabashedly politicized civil fraud case against Donald Trump. As readers will recall, Judge Arthur Engoron, an elected Democratic hack in a robe, ordered the former president to pay nearly half a billion dollars in fraud damages … despite the total absence of fraud victims. James may edge out her fellow progressive Democratic Trump tormentor, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg,

On Tuesday, Iran took the extraordinary step of raining hundreds of ballistic missiles down on Israel as retaliation for the destruction of Hezbollah in Lebanon. As of now, injuries and deaths have been minimal, but the Israelis have vowed to respond harshly. This is a perilous time for world affairs, and with Americans set to choose the next president in early November, things have suddenly gotten real. That wasn't lost on Donald Trump, who responded with fire to Harris' disastrous foreign policy record. In his statement, the former president lambasted the current vice president for her aloofness and staged photo ops.

What’s the main argument you hear from Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, or any surrogate: it was chaos under Donald Trump? That’s one of the go-to lines that has been shouted incessantly, yet no one cares. Kamala Harris isn’t pulling away, and she’s projected to be the worst-performing Democrat ever among union and working-class voters. The economic message isn’t resonating, likely because voters aren’t stupid; her domestic plan is a carbon copy of Joe Biden’s. Kamala is the incumbent. She cannot run away from it. But we’re engulfed in a mess right now, and the Kamala-Joe duo is asleep at the switch.

In the days leading up to Tuesday’s debate, Democrats went out of their way to say they were nervous about how Gov. Tim Walz would perform. It was an obvious effort to lower expectations in the hopes Walz would beat the gloomy forecasts and thus look like an upset winner. They didn’t lower expectations far enough. Walz had occasional moments of clarity, but he spent most of the night giving rambling answers that filled the allotted time without reaching a clear conclusion. The only thing he won was finishing first in the number of non-

Iran launched at least 180 missiles into Israel on Tuesday, the latest in a series of escalating attacks in a yearslong conflict between Israel and Iran and its Arab allies that threatens to push the Middle East closer toward a regionwide war. The orange glow of missiles streaked across Israel’s night sky as air raid sirens sounded and residents scrambled into bomb shelters. Israel vowed retaliation for Iran’s barrage, which it said had caused only a few injuries. Before Iran’s attack, Israel had landed a series of devastating blows in recent weeks against the leadership of Hezbollah in Lebanon.

An Israeli victory against Hezbollah's terrorist infrastructure in Lebanon is vital to guaranteeing the security of the entire Western alliance. It will send a clear signal to Iran -- Hezbollah's paymasters -- that the ayatollahs' unremitting campaign against the West and its allies is ultimately doomed to failure. [A]n estimated 90,000 Israelis being forced to flee their homes, leaving large swathes of northern Israel deserted. Hezbollah has said that those Israelis will not be able to return to their homes, raising concerns that Hezbollah, which had been planning to invade northern Israel, might also be planning to occupy it.

The UN agency for Palestinian refugees said a top Hamas commander killed in Lebanon Monday was one of its employees but had been suspended since allegations of his ties to the militant group emerged in March. Fatah Sharif’s connection to Hamas appeared set to ratchet up pressure on UNRWA, already facing a $80 million funding shortfall this year. Critics have repeatedly blasted the agency, saying it wasn’t doing enough to root out Hamas militants from its ranks. The U.N.’s internal watchdog has been investigating UNRWA since Israel in January accused 12 of its staffers of being involved in the Oct. 7 attack on Israel,

Gov. Greg Abbott wasn’t going to bus migrants to New York City. And then Eric Adams opened his big mouth. That’s how the three-term Republican describes his 2022 decision to send 119,000 migrants from the Texas border to sanctuary cities across the country — including more than 45,000 to New York alone. In an exclusive interview with The Post, Abbott explained that at first he was only sending migrant buses to Washington, DC, to make a point about the Biden-Harris administration’s failure to crack down on the massive surge of illegal crossings — and relieve some pressure on the border towns that were being overwhelmed.

PHILADELPHIA — Dockworkers at ports from Maine to Texas began walking picket lines early Tuesday in a strike over wages and automation that could reignite inflation and cause shortages of goods if it goes on more than a few weeks. The contract between the ports and about 45,000 members of the International Longshoremen’s Association expired at midnight, and even though progress was reported in talks on Monday, the workers went on strike. The strike affecting 36 ports is the first by the union since 1977. Workers began picketing at the Port of Philadelphia shortly after midnight, walking in a circle

JD Vance was accurately describing the migrant crisis fueled by Kamala Harris and Joe Biden when CBS moderator Margaret Brennan decided to insert herself with a “fact check.” “Just to clarify for our viewers, Springfield, Ohio does have a large number of Haitian migrants who have legal status,” she said smugly. Vance was rightly annoyed by the interruption and said, “The rules were that you guys weren’t going to fact check, and since you’re fact checking me, I think it’s important to say what’s actually going on.”

She also has a track record of being shockingly unfamiliar with issues that are directly related to her job. Minnesota Democratic Gov. Tim Walz stunned watchers of Tuesday night’s vice presidential debate as he nervously fidgeted, frowned and even called himself a “knucklehead” — while his Republican counterpart, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, gave a steady and lawyerly presentation and was widely seen as the victor. The largely good-natured forum, hosted by CBS News, featured the two candidates agreeing with each other repeatedly and expressing warm personal sentiments — avoiding the blistering personal attacks that were part of both presidential debates earlier this year. Walz, 60, who has honed a folksy demeanor on the campaign trail, was noticeably nervous and misspoke repeatedly as he wrung his hands, took frantic notes,

I don't know what the viewership numbers were on the vice presidential debate between Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) and Minnesota Gov. Vance, as RedState previously reported, wiped the floor not just with Walz but also the CBS News debate moderators, who did what they weren't supposed to do at least twice in "fact-checking" Vance, only to have him refuse to be silenced by fact-checking them right back.

We give our police officers extreme power. We provide them with the right to arrest us before we are convicted in court or even indicted by a Grand Jury. I’ll assume Somali-native Officer Lesly Vera is a good woman. Now 23, she emigrated legally when she was four. Although she has been here for 19 years, we wonder how much of America she really understands, and respects.
