Ukraine’s surprise incursion into Russia’s Kursk region has continued into a second day, prompting Vladimir Putin to convene a meeting with his top defence and law enforcement officials. A report from one Russia military blogger suggested Ukrainian forces had advanced northwards, possibly as far as nine miles (15km) from the border, along a highway north of the border village of Sverdlikovo and near a major natural gas transmission hub, but this could not be verified. Official and unofficial Russian sources reported that a force of several hundred soldiers had crossed a lightly defended part of the border on Tuesday morning, in what appears to be one of the largest

I would not want to be a Ukranian soldier caught on Russian territory. There's a good chance your next stop will be Siberia, above the Arctic circle,

Former president Donald Trump challenged Vice President Kamala Harris to three debates during a Thursday press conference at Mar-a-Lago, pointing out that his new rival has avoided unscripted media appearances since replacing President Biden atop the Democratic ticket. Trump said that he has agreed to appear at three debates, one on September 4 on Fox News, a second on ABC on September 10, and a third on NBC on September 25. Harris had previously said that she would attend the ABC debate but it’s unclear whether she’ll appear for the other two contests. “We have spoken to the heads of the network and it’s all been confirmed

What the Democrats needed was a Heartland of America guy, someone folksy and grounded to balance Kinda Acting President Kamala Harris's "California Glib" demeanor. He'd have to be from the Midwest or Appalachia, of course, and ideally a hunter. He should have a moderate record, or at least one the press could go along with making it look moderate. And I keep writing "he" because the Democrats weren't going to run an all-woman ticket, assuming they could define "woman." And he couldn't be Jewish. Harris couldn't afford to even let an opener anywhere near that can of worms. In short, they needed a Democrat version

The previous portion of this entry mentioned how Laurene Powell Jobs has two organizations she has been involved with to push her preferred left-wing activist agenda. In that first entry, we explored her quasi-charitable outfit that supports many known media outlets through her financial backing. In this piece, we look into the second entity, a shady Democrat Party-affiliated enterprise that has created an astroturf media network. We are discussing a fraudulent collection of “news” sites positioned as a syndicate of outlets across the country. What these are, in reality, are a false front for Democrat propaganda.

The advertising trade group The World Federation of Advertisers told its members on Thursday that it was "discontinuing" activities for its Global Alliance for Responsible Media initiative following an antitrust lawsuit filed by Elon Musk's X against the company earlier this week. Stephan Loerke, the CEO of the WFA, wrote in an email to members, seen by Business Insider, that the decision was "not made lightly" but that GARM is a not-for-profit organization with limited resources. Loerke said that the WFA and GARM intended to contest the allegations in X's suit in court and were confident the outcome

It has been almost three weeks since Vice President Kamala Harris launched her presidential campaign after President Joe Biden dropped out of the race. She still has not held a press conference. Of course, this isn’t to say Harris’ presence has not been felt on the political stage. She has been traveling to swing states and holding rallies to gin up support for her campaign. The vice president recently made waves on Tuesday by announcing Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate. Yet, Harris appears to be avoiding interactions with the press at all costs.

Kamala Harris became visibly angry on Wednesday when her rally in Detroit was interrupted by pro-Hamas protesters. Members of the group "Uncommitted" began shouting multiple times, leading to Harris scowling and chastizing them as wanting Donald Trump to win the election. It was an awkward moment for a candidate who has remained completely insulated and free of any adversarial confrontations since she became the presumptive nominee. Her supporters quickly sought to spin the exchange as an example of her toughness, claiming she demonstrated what a tough woman who takes charge looks like. There's always more to the story, though.

When Kamala Harris announced the selection of pro-abort, anti-gun Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as a running mate on Tuesday, the Democrats thought they'd hit a trifecta. They have a Midwestern (though, in fairness, Minnesota is much more of an ersatz Canada than Midwestern) veteran high school coach to take the edge off Kamala's particularly nutty form of Marxism. Things haven't worked out that way. Within hours of Walz's announcement, it became apparent that his military service was characterized by opportunism and selfishness rather than the servant leadership that is the tradition of the United States Army. RedState has covered the issue exhaustively since it emerged.

A recently surfaced recording of a Zoom call between the Biden/Harris team from 2020 reveals disconcerting evidence of the team's intentional targeting and manipulation of voters and relentless bullying of media outlets to control information. As RedState previously reported, the Missouri v. Biden (now styled Murthy v. Missouri) case is one of the most important free speech cases of recent years. Originally, the Fifth Circuit had ruled in favor of Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry and entered an injunction against the officials accused of censorship. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court later ruled that the plaintiffs did not have proper standing. One of the key people

Do you remember this coordinated arson attack on the French rail system? Beege wrote about it here. It happened just about two weeks ago as the Olympics were starting in Paris. Some unknown group set fires that wound up snarling the country's high-speed rail system for most of the day. On the day it happened there was no claim of responsibility so everyone was left wondering. What authorities did know was that whoever did it had a detailed knowledge of the French system. As the country’s train system jewel, the high-speed network remains its most protected, Mr. Dansart said, with fences, security cameras, protected access doors

The good news for the Trump campaign is that the sure Democratic nominee Kamala Harris is a lifelong California hard leftist at a time when the state is emblematic of progressive nihilism. Her extremist advocacies as a San Francisco county and city attorney, state Attorney General, and senator are on record. And they are consistent with what has virtually destroyed the state. [Snip] However, the bad news for Trump is that there are only roughly 90 days left to expose Harris’s extremist record. And like cognitively challenged Joe Biden in 2020, her handlers will not allow her to speak extemporaneously or to give interviews to real journalists.

Vice President Kamala Harris told anti-Israel hecklers who interrupted her Detroit campaign rally Wednesday night that their activism risks handing the Nov. 5 election to former President Donald Trump. “Kamala! Kamala Harris has selected Tim Walz as her running mate for the upcoming election. This decision raises serious concerns about national security and the integrity of American values, given Walz’s radical policies and extensive ties to Communist China. Senior reporter Paul Sperry from RealClear Investigations recently uncovered a disturbing pattern in Walz’s relationship with China. According to investigative journalist Paul Sperry on X, Walz traveled to China annually from 1996 until at least 2003. His travels were not merely for tourism; he was granted a special work visa by the Chinese government, which raises questions about his loyalties and motivations.

There’s a good reason I wrote about the media’s prostitutes a few years ago, actually, seven years ago, with a preface that apologized to legitimate prostitutes who made an honest living. What I reported then was based on the formidable work of ace journalist Ashley Lutz, who scrupulously documented her findings in a Business Insider report. Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign escalated its stolen valor scandal Thursday by scrubbing its reference to vice-presidential nominee Gov. Tim Walz’s (D-MN) rank. The campaign altered its official website’s biography of Walz, removing its reference to him as a “retired command sergeant major” to instead note he once served at the command sergeant major rank, Politico reported. The shocking decision escalates the scandal from denial to damage control for the reeling campaign. As Breitbart’s Kristina Wong reported, “[Walz] has claimed that he is a retired command sergeant major, but his rank was reduced to master sergeant since he did not finish the requirements to retire as a command sergeant major.
