Gov. Greg Abbott (R-Texas) came out to a hearty welcome at the Republican National Convention. The crowd cheered and chanted “Drill, baby drill!” He had to wait to begin his speech because the crowd noise was so raucous.
But Abbott wasn’t in Milwaukee to talk about drilling for oil. Instead, he spoke about the border crisis, which Abbott knows about more than probably any other governor. According to the Texas Department of Transportation, “Texas and Mexico share 1,254 miles of common border and are joined by 28 international bridges and border crossings. This number includes two dams, one hand-drawn ferry, and 25 other crossings that allow commercial, vehicular, and pedestrian traffic.”

GOP Vice Presidential nominee and Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance was the finale of day three at the RNC, and he spoke about his upbringing, unity, and free speech as he accepted the nomination to become Vice President of the United States of America.
Here is what Vance said when accepting the nomination to become VP:
And so tonight, Mr. Chairman, I stand here humbled and I'm overwhelmed with gratitude to say I officially accept your nomination to be Vice President of the United States of America.
When speaking about the assassination attempt on Trump, here is part of what Vance said:
Now consider what they said. They said he was a tyrant.

As President Joe Biden flies back to Delaware from Las Vegas on Wednesday night, cutting his trip short after testing positive for Covid-19, he faces one of the most momentous decisions of his long political life: Should he heed the rising calls from his fellow Democrats to extinguish his bid for reelection?
For Biden, is it a new moment?
Even though anger and panic have been steadily rising inside the Democratic Party for nearly three weeks, after the president’s alarming debate performance in Atlanta, the White House and the Biden campaign are in a new place, multiple Democratic officials told CNN.

Forty-four years ago, Ronald Reagan asked the most devastating question in presidential-campaign politics. "Are you better off than you were four years ago?" he asked in reference to the Jimmy Carter presidency, an utter disaster economically and on foreign policy. That question crystallized an American electorate tired of being told to get used to decline, and it touched off an economic and military revival that eventually ended the Cold War.
Tonight, the theme for the Republican national convention is "Make America Strong Again," a slogan that got a broad sweep in the speeches from the stage. Border security dominated the earlier speeches, but Medal of Honor

Wednesday night at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the families of service members who were killed during Joe Biden's withdrawal from Afghanistan delivered devastating remarks about the current president, his actions during and after the withdrawal, and his refusal to even acknowledge their fallen loved ones.
Multiple members spoke during the segment, but all of the remarks were so powerful that multiple media outlets and pundits referred to the moment as "powerful" and "devastating" for Joe Biden. The speech was part of the RNC's Wednesday night theme, which was centered around safety. It was indeed a powerful moment for the Republican nominee and a brutal one for Biden.

Former President Donald Trump is leading President Joe Biden nationally and taking a ten-point lead among independents, a HarrisX/Forbes survey found.
The survey showed Trump leading Biden by three points nationally, garnering 45 percent support to Biden’s 42 percent support. Another 13 percent remain undecided.
Trump’s lead expands in a crowded field with third-party candidates garnering 43 percent support — four points more than Biden’s 39 percent support.
Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. follows with 13 percent support, and Green Party candidate Jill Stein and independent candidate Cornel West see two percent support each.

The calls for President Biden to pass the torch had stopped following the former president and current GOP nominee for president, Donald Trump's assassination attempt, but the Democrats have ramped up those calls in the past couple of days. As reported earlier, top House Democrat and lead voice of the Russia collusion hoax, Adam Schiff, asked Biden to withdraw from the race.
Vice President Harris called GOP VP nominee and Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) to congratulate him. She then challenged Vance to a debate, and agreed to debate on either July 23 or August 13, to be aired on CBS.

The question which many Democrats had hoped would be swept under the rug following the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump, has emerged: Are we sure we want President Joe Biden? Following a positive COVID test and an announcement canceling part of his campaign tour, Biden was back in the spotlight, and Van Jones, liberal political commentator for CNN, finally summed up the plight of the Democratic party. On a CNN panel, made of both conservatives and Democrats, one attitude rang true, that people weren't happy about the Democratic ticket. This was said perfectly by Jones, the optics of Trump surviving

We have entered the Twilight Zone.
Under no circumstances would I have imagined that the Secret Service, of all organizations, could fail this badly.
And by fail, I don't mean that somebody got through a security perimeter. Even the best organizations can't prevent every conceivable scenario. Stuff happens.
No, I mean something much, much worse: the Secret Service failed to do even a minimally competent job. The Washington Post reports that the agency had been informed that local law enforcement did not have sufficient resources to secure the building from which the shooter took his murderous shots. Yet, nothing was done to ensure that the most obvious vantage point

At this point, we must ask the question: Has the global popcorn industry adequately prepared its supply chains for the next few weeks? Or will the avalanche of demand for passing the popcorn during the Democrat Party Meltdown Theater tip us over into hyper-inflation?
Again?
Joe Biden has steadfastly refused to withdraw from the Democrat presidential nomination, insisting that only he can defeat Donald Trump. The DNC had plans to rush the delegates into a confirming first-ballot vote based on primary results. Biden lined up the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) behind his nomination and had pandered relentlessly the last three weeks to rad-progressives to shore up his left flank.

An irate city councilwoman allegedly bit a deputy NYPD chief during a scream-filled clash with cops at a protest against a homeless shelter in Brooklyn, according to officials and video of the incident.
Councilwoman Susan Zhuang (D-43rd Dist.) was arrested on charges of second-degree and third-degree assault and resisting arrest Wednesday morning at a demonstration with “Residents Against Homeless Shelters” in Gravesend, police confirmed.
Zhuang, 38, allegedly tried to prevent officers from arresting another woman at the protest grabbing and pushing police barricades into cops — then bit Deputy Chief of Patrol Borough Brooklyn South Frank DiGiacomo on the arm when he attempted to pull the councilwoman

Rick and Karen Foerster, a couple in their 50s who live in neighboring Beaver County, arrived at the Trump Rally in Butler County, Pa., at 9 a.m. on Saturday and waited in the 90-degree heat for the gates to open at 1 p.m. As the program began, Karen was overcome by the heat and became unwell. She was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital, which was only 11 miles from the site.
While the Foersters were still in the Emergency Dept., the news broke that Donald Trump had just been shot in the head. Others in the waiting room had also been at the rally or had friends there,
