An activist judge struck down Florida's ban on "gender-affirming care" for minors on Tuesday, delivering a setback to Gov. Ron DeSantis' attempt to protect children. The ruling claimed the law it was "unconstitutional" because it denied "medically appropriate care."
Judge Robert L. Hinkle stated in his decision that "gender identity is real," using his power to legalize the mutilation of children. U.S. District Judge Robert L. Hinkle ruled the ban is unconstitutional at least in part because it applies even when gender-affirming care for minors is “medically appropriate,” according to the judgment.
Hinkle said in the ruling that “gender identity is real”

There is NO psychiatric problem that can be "cured" surgically anywhere, on any body, except perhaps within the cranium....not a single one.
If a lefty identified as right hand dominant, or WISHED they were, would a "Doctor" or a Judge insist both hands be cut off and reattached on opposite sides...on a Juvenile??

Best governor in the country. And to think there are so many on this website who still like to argue that Ron DeSantis is not a conservative.

Yeah, sure - gender identity is real, like feelings are real, and desires are real. But none are as real as things grounded in a material reality, like biology. Male and female is over all of those other things.

It is way past time to rein in the judiciary deciding which specific types of medical care are or are not "constitutional", or other issues decided within state legislatures. These laws were duly debated and passed by the elected representatives of the people of Florida in the their state legislature. How does one judge have the power to overturn the hard work over many months of all the elected representatives, their staff, and volunteer citizens to enact these laws?
Are we governed by the representatives we elect and our state legislatures or by the judiciary?

The judiciary should in no way have the power to overturn a good law passed by conservative consensus. In California, Proposition 8 was passed by the voters, who wanted marriage to be between a man and a woman, only to have it scrapped by a liberal judge. Judges should never be in place to violate the will of the people!

Sex change operations for adults — fine if that’s what an adult wants to do. But a minor? No.
If a minor wants to dress like the opposite sex, I can live with that. They’re just clothes. And clothes can be changed in moments. Hell, noble men used to wear wigs, tights, and high heels. Sounds rather feminine, eh? Fashion changes easily. Sex changes do not.

Given the increase in suicide attempts on those who had their 'gender affirmed', I'd say the better name would be:
Suicide Affirming 'Care.'

There is no such thing as medically appropriate sterilization or castration of children.

DeSantis took the little weasel apart. This is not any kind of "care" it's simply a lot of money for the medical industry, which has proven over and over that it's all about the money.

Reading post #10 brought to mind "Money is the root of all evil". Doctors have gone the way of ambulance chasers. IMHO.

Gender Affirming. Only a reprobate leftist could come up with a euphemism for destruction and mutilation.

Wait! I detect a familiar stench from this story. Let me check.
Ah, yes! Harvard. Judge Robert Hinkle, JD, Harvard, 1976. It always seems thus with these activist judges.
Allowing Harvard University to continue to exist on American soil is tantamount to allowing a hostile, foreign government to erect a fortified, military stronghold within our borders in a time of war. Harvard and the people there are dedicated to destroying this country by an means necessary, as they have clearly demonstrated over several decades.
(As a personal aside, I believe that any man who regularly wears a bow tie and is not in a tuxedo shouldn't to be trusted.)
