Wait, the U.S. Senate Chaplain Said What
About the Death of the Iranian President?

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi died in a helicopter crash over the weekend. He shouldn’t be mourned or prayed for. If anything, we should all hope the man is burning in hell. He was a terrorist, allegedly responsible for the murder of thousands of dissidents in Iran, earning him the nickname the “butcher of Tehran.” And yet, you’d thought he was Mother Theresa. Spencer covered the reaction from our ambassador to the United Nations, which was deplorable: (Snip)

Comments:

No condolences, please! Raisi is a grisly cadaver, and we're happy about it. Chuffed, in fact.

I have never been one who believes that when someone dies you should not speak evil of them. Death does not change the evil they did when alive.

Well, for the insanely angry left, Trump is hitler. But the guy who has actually mass murdered people is a statesman. That is why they are said to be filled with insane hatred. Or maybe they're scared witless that Iran will think we did it. Or maybe we did and these statements are meant to add salt to the wound.

“Woe to them that call evil good, and good evil!” So roared the Old Testament prophet. We need to pray for our country, and that we, as Americans would repent before God, and that the Lord would turn his hand of mercy toward us. We are in perilous times, and we need to get right. Our sins as a nation are many.

But you must admit that it was so very heart-wrenching to see the videos of President Raisi’s four little pre-teen daughters in their burkas weeping and wailing in mourning their father’s death. What? Those weren’t his daughters? They were his wives? And he showers with them? Never mind. Sorry for the second post

Remember when we killed the ISIS guy (during the time where freedom reigned in America, also known as the Trump Administration)? Didn't the Washington Post eulogize his death as a ""austere religious scholar".? That is, before the public ridicule forced them to rewrite the article.

The chaplain did NOT offer a prayer for the dead Iranian. He offered a prayer for the people mourning the dead Iranian. Quite a different thing, and several levels less bad. IMO, just saying "we offer condolences to the people mourning this loss" or something very bland like that would have been even better. Or ....we could have said "Good riddance of a violent terrorist leader" and told the truth.

Historical events, like people, have a life story. They are conceived, come into a life of their own, and are either rejected by events or become part of what is called the future. The Civil War of 1861, fought over what the US was to be, became visible in the Compromise of 1850 before assuming its final shape. The issues, the matters about what it was to be, were developing for a decade before the first shot was fired. Like people, great events often have more than one name because they involve diverse issues and multiple origin stories. The Civil War for example is also called the War

The charges against 10-time PGA Tour winner Scottie Scheffler were dismissed on Wednesday, nearly two weeks after he was arrested just before the second round of the PGA Championship in Kentucky. Jefferson County Attorney Mike O’Connell addressed the court and filed a motion to have all charges against the two-time major winner dismissed after finding in the prosecutor’s investigation that the evidence corroborated his claim that it was all a "misunderstanding." Scheffler, 27, was facing four charges including felony assault over injuries a Louisville Metro Police Department officer sustained during the encounter on May 17.

California could be a much nicer place to live if some of the progressives who run the place would stop trying their best to make everything more expensive. California has had blackouts and despite this came close to shutting down its last nuclear reactor. In 2022, Gov. Newsom finally had second thoughts on that after the Biden administration offered a boatload of money to reverse course and keep the last reactor running. But despite moments of lucidity, the state and the governor seem determined to set the state's next energy crisis in motion. Last year the state passed a bill called SBX1-2 which was brandished by

Lola is the title of a song released by The Kinks in 1970. The song chronicles the romantic misadventures between a young man and a transgendered woman named Lola who, "walked like a woman but talked like a man.” Lola may provide a surprise in the bedroom or in a London nightclub, inspiration for the song, but such surprises are most unwelcome, and unfair, on the athletic field. Such sports stories have become all too common, representative of the new normal of our gender-confused culture where athletic organizations, high schools, and colleges don’t seem able to distinguish between boys and girls or men and women. This latest slap to female athletes comes from Oregon,

Donald Trump’s resilience in the polls as he endures the bogus trial in Manhattan has befuddled the political left. "Why isn't Trump's trial hurting him?” leftists ask. They can’t understand it because they’re so blinded by their hatred for Trump that they can’t see that his legal troubles don't stem from a fair justice system but a biased system motivated by politics. The polls prove it as they show that the public believes the criminal charges are politically motivated. The Biden campaign is panicking about the situation and decided to revise its strategy of largely ignoring the trial to sending actor Robert DeNiro to the Manhattan courthouse to troll Trump.

(X) Last week the pier broke apart and washed up on the beach in Israel. Republican Congressman Michael Waltz called it "FUBAR." (Snip) Shortly after the pier broke apart the Pentagon admitted all of the aid distributed from the floating location, which has repeatedly come under attack by Hamas, was stolen by the terrorist organization. The first question we need to ask is: Karim Khan and what army? It's not worth taking a deep dive into the intricacies of law and war, because Hamas does not recognize any moral or legal restrictions on warfare and the ICC has no real jurisdiction over anyone, anyway.
