Gov. Kathy Hochul said she “understands” why slain NYPD Detective Jonathan Diller’s family is “outraged,” but insisted Saturday she was never told to leave the hero cop’s wake — despite being abruptly told “his blood is on your hands.”
“I would do it again, and that’s my job,” said Hochul, defending her decision to attend Diller’s wake a day earlier on Long Island.
“We were told the family is welcoming. We always check, and they said to come, and I went. And no one told me to leave,” Hochul also told Politico during an Easter event at the governor’s mansion in Albany.

With a dose of the required Democrat version of grace Mrs. Hochul explained that, although the family was distressed at her part in the murder of their loved one, she came because “that’s (her) job.” And the family, in their weakest and most heartbroken condition, didn’t “ask (her, the governor of perhaps the second most powerful state in the union) to leave.” What a saint. And if the tables were turned and Officer Diller had killed the black gunman with the Hispanic surname in self-defense she would surely have bared her fangs to destroy the young policeman’s and his family’s life.

Typical dem arrogance and complete lack of respect.
Dems do NOT support cops. Cops work in a VERY dangerous environment. They never know what can go wrong from minute to minute. The dems are all too eager to pander to criminals if cops do anything that can be perceived as questionable. They go to a press conference and cast doubt and guilt.
Hochul inserted herself for her own political purposes. The family was beyond gracious and Hochul took full advantage of it.

It is true that they did not ask her to leave. They likely told her to leave.

Vile woman had no business there. She probably had an entire security contingent surrounding her.

All Democrat politicians have a crooked, twisted view of what their 'job' is. Corruption, dishonesty, hypocrisy, lawlessness, vengefulness that we see stems from that. This vile woman is no exception.

Hochul wears her hair in a manner that it hides the horns protruding from her skull.

Hochul claims that she’s trying to change the bail laws but it’s ’complicated’. That’s a political bs condescending way of saying that the State Legislature has no intention of changing the law no matter how many people are killed as a result.
I don’t believe for one second that the family welcomed her there. Let’s hear from the guy she was talking to.

Hochul adheres to the basic DNC tenet: Never let a crisis go to waste. She probably didn't think she'd be noticed (it was probably the smell of mothballs that gave her away).

She wanted a photo op and she got one. But it wasn’t the one she wanted. I don’t believe her for a nano second.

Hochul has the means to exact revenge from the man who confronted her at the wake. He should stay behind the scenes.

Shewanted to try to make some sort of a political speech and gain political points on the dead body of a policeman who died largely because of Demonrat anti-police, pro-criminal policies.
It' great that they ran her off.

If only that poor cop had the same protection that Gov. LIzard-face has, he might still be alive.

“That’s my job”. Since when is Hochul concerned with doing her job? She’s refurbished her office to the tune of millions of dollars. She isn’t concerned about the safety of the citizens of New Yorl. She hasn’t fired Soros guy, Alvin Bragg, she’s lit up New Yorl for trannies for Easter Sunday. She’s soft on crime. She’s a failure. An arrogant, self righteous failure as a governor.

Did Hochul vote to “crash” traditional bail laws in the first place? If she did she had no business attempting to “crash” the murdered Cop’s wake once it became evident that the family did not want such politicians around during their time of grief.
