For decades, American sports fans welcomed Bob Costas into their homes with open arms as he offered thoughtful commentary and analysis in regard to sports.
That entire time, the veteran TV personality apparently held a deep personal hatred for so many of us.
On Sunday during an interview on CNN, Costas referred to people who support former President Donald Trump’s bid for the White House — people who need immediate relief from inflation and illegal immigrant crime — as “toxic” and delusional.”
The comments were made as the 71-year-old attacked Trump while speaking to network host Michael Smerconish.

The Supreme Court will not throw Donald Trump off the ballot through some sort of deus ex MSNBCmachina, and Trump’s polls are improving while President Crusty’s are getting worse, so we face the real possibility of Donald Trump winning the presidency. Obviously, it’s not a done deal, but it is a bigger possibility than it used to be. Well, the Democrats are facing it, and now they’re trying to figure out how to stop him from taking office if and when he wins the election.
This is a really bad idea.
But of course, the Democrat Party is the Party of Bad Ideas, and the Party of Nanny Fascism.

President Joe Biden joked that Donald Trump is 'about as old as I am' and blamed his predecessor for the crisis at the US-Mexico border in an interview with Seth Meyers Monday.
Biden's visit to Meyers' NBC 10th anniversary 'Late Night' had already made headlines when the president told a media member he believed there would be a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas within a week while getting ice cream with the host.
The liberal-leaning host Meyers questioned the president about that but also pressed him on concerns about his age, with a majority of voters believing he's too old to run the country

Washington— Congressional leaders emerged from an “intense” Oval Office meeting with President Joe Biden on Tuesday speaking optimistically about the prospects for avoiding a partial government shutdown, but with new uncertainty about aid for Ukraine and Israel as the president and others urgently warned Speaker Mike Johnson of the grave consequences of delay.
Biden called the leaders to the White House in hopes of making progress against a legislative logjam on Capitol Hill that has major ramifications not just for the U.S. but for the world as Ukraine struggles to repel Russia’s invasion with weapons and ammunition starting to run short.Biden hosted Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., House Minority Leader

Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA) in an interview with CNN anchor Erin Burnett on Monday referred to the murder of University of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley by an illegal immigrant as "one instance" and that it "shouldn't shape our overall immigration policy."
"I think whenever were dealing with violent crime, there is a sense of outrage, of sadness and loss," Porter said. "But I think the important thing to focus on is any one instance shouldn't shape our overall immigration policy."
"So we have all different kinds of chaos and challenges from not having enough immigration judges to not investing in technology that can help a screen for fentanyl

It seems like just earlier this morning I was writing about the idiot who set himself on fire and died to stop a genocide that isn't happening in support of a group of actual genocidal killers, [Steve, it was just earlier this morning —editor] but I've already come across someone even stupider.
And this one graduated from Harvard.
Joy Reid, the MSNBC host of "The ReidOut" (SWTDT?) since 2020 and a fixture on the left-wing network for a decade or longer, on Monday posted a TikTok video of herself going on an unhinged rant against having babies.

Macy's on Tuesday said it plans to close roughly 150 underperforming stores over the next three years, the struggling retailer's latest effort to energize its business as it seeks to fend off a proposed takeover by activist investors. The department store chain said it plans to focus on expanding its luxury brands, Bloomingdale's and Bluemercury. Macy's will shutter 50 stores over the next year. Overall, the restructuring plan will leave Macy's with 350 outlets. The announcement of the store closures comes after Macy's last month rejected a $5.8 billion takeover offer from investing firm Arkhouse Management and its partner Brigade

Joe Biden shied away in jest from confirming or denying his relationship with Taylor Swift during a Monday night appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers,
The president, 81, joked that a potential endorsement from the world's most famous singer remains a 'classified' matter.
Biden is suffering from record low approval numbers, and is therefore using every tool in his arsenal to reach out to voters ahead of November. To that end, there is a semi-viral online conspiracy theory that the president and his campaign will utilize Swift and her NFL boyfriend Travis Kelce's potential endorsements to reach Gen-Zers, NFL fans, and everyone in between to swing the election for Democrats.

If you had told the average person that an anarchist or an airman had set himself on fire to protest Israel’s campaign against Islamic terrorists, you would get two very different reactions.
Unsurprisingly the media led with the data point most likely to produce a favorable reaction. And Aaron Bushnell cynically played the same game, wearing (the wrong) uniform to his Hamas suicide attempt rather than the Antifa red in which he had been previously photographed.
The Washington Post gets around to admitting that Bushnell was an “anarchist”. [SNIP] But the Washington Post then misleadingly suggests he was raised in a Christian cult.

The United States Army is being forced to reduce the size of its force — as a predictable result of failing to meet recruitment and retention goals — by roughly five percent, according to the Pentagon in what the Department of Defense prefers to call more of a reshuffle as a result of what officials say is a "significantly overstructured" service. It seems as though a time in which Iran-backed terrorists are on the march across the Middle East, including attacking U.S. bases and killing American service members — and following Biden's handover of Afghanistan to the Taliban who have returned the country to an oasis for other radical Islamist

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) said she was “proud” to vote “uncommitted” in the Michigan primary Tuesday, casting a protest vote against President Biden amid frustration over the war in Gaza. “I was proud today to walk in and pull a Democratic ballot and vote uncommitted. We must protect our democracy. We must make sure that our government is about us, about the people,” Tlaib said in a video shared by the Listen to Michigan campaign, calling for the protest vote. “When 74 percent of Democrats in Michigan support a cease-fire, yet President Biden is not hearing us, this is the
