NORMAN, Okla. — “Beer For My Horses” singer-songwriter Toby Keith has died. He was 62. Keith, who was battling stomach cancer, passed peacefully on Monday surrounded by his family, according to a statement posted on the country singer’s website. “He fought his fight with grace and courage,” the statement said. He was diagnosed in 2022. Sometimes a polarizing figure in country music, the 6-foot-4 singer broke out in the country boom years of the 1990s, crafting an identity around his macho, pro-American swagger and writing songs that fans loved to hear. Over his career he publicly clashed with other celebrities and journalists

Singer-songwriter Toby Keith was truly a country star and he will be missed. I went to 2 concerts of his and he/his ensemble were electrifying. May he rest in peace. So young at 62.

I was born in Norman, okla...but grew up in Texas. worked in the oil patch, played fiddle in po-dunk red dirt roadhouses(until I got my hand smashed in a drilling rig accident, two fingers sewed back on)...was back in Texas for my 40th highschool reunion, an old buddy and I went for a two tank drive, up back roads and down memory lanes, singing along to old favorite songs, and newer ones we'd never heard together but found we both liked. Toby Keiths songs figured prominently in that latter category. Many a song required a "Pause Button" followed by one of us saying... "Remember that time?...Or Remember that Girl...or remember that Bar in???...or remember that dude....remember that fight???" Let me say this about Nat'lee Main(Who???) and Steve Earle, as well as anyone else who complains about some "aggressive lyrics"....Texans learned looooooong ago, if everyone knows you are not afraid to "Go to Boots", you'll seldom ever need to. Accepting the unacceptable..."To be nice", is unsustainable, and will eventually require something "Uncomfortable" to be applied, often much to late, after too much damage has already been done. This applies in a Small Town, and on the world geo-political stage..

Disappointing but not surprising that the AP opens with the slur he was polarizing. That's leftist-speak for he was a decent, patriotic man who loved his family and country.

We lost another authentic country music legend. He really accomplished a great deal in his career. He LOVED his state and was fiercely proud of Oklahoma. He loved his family and was a good good man. We will always have his music. Prayers for his family on this tremendously painful loss. He was only 62.

The mRNA shots seriously damage the immune system, so all disease processes are able to avoid effective body response. Cancers are more likely to occur and less likely to be treatable in all who had the mRNA shots. More shots, more damage to immune system.

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released a report Wednesday projecting that federal budget deficits will skyrocket to well over $2 trillion per year in the next decade. The baseline in the CBO’s annual budget and economic outlook covers the 2024 to 2034 period and projects that the budget deficit will rise from about $1.6 trillion in 2024 to $2.6 trillion in 2034, with deficits topping $2 trillion each year after 2031. As a percentage of gross domestic product (GDP) – or the size of the U.S. economy – the deficit rises from 5.6% of GDP in 2024 to 6.1% of GDP in 2034. That comes after the percentage briefly

WASHINGTON — Within 48 hours of the release of a long-awaited immigration and foreign aid bill he had championed, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s Republican conference rejected his pitch to support it, knifed the deal and left it for dead. Just four Republicans voted for it. In the end, even McConnell backtracked and voted against the package that he had helped develop. It was a jarring moment on Capitol Hill that pointed to a changed landscape: The Kentucky Republican, a one-man power center for more than a decade, is seeing his influence with fellow senators wane as his party continues to transform into the right-wing populist mold of Donald Trump.

Polling suggests Texas Governor Greg Abbott has a positive level of support for his border policies as his office continues to be at odds with the Biden administration over using razor wire. Exclusive polling conducted for Newsweek by Redfield & Wilton Strategies indicates Abbott has 51 percent support among voters in Texas for continuing to erect razor wire on the border. The poll was conducted from February 1-3 among 814 eligible voters in Texas. The Supreme Court ruled in January that federal border agents can be allowed access to key areas along the Rio Grande River, the border with Mexico, and cut razor wire

Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected the terms of a ceasefire in Gaza proposed by Hamas and rebuffed US pressure to move more quickly towards a mediated settlement to the war, saying there could be no solution to Israel’s security issues except “absolute victory” over the militant group. The Israeli prime minister also confirmed that the Israel Defense Forces had been instructed to commence operations in the southern Gaza city of Rafah, where the population has been swelled by hundreds of thousands of displaced people. In a sharp rebuff to the Biden administration and the visiting US secretary of state, Antony Blinken, Netanyahu said it would require months more fighting before Hamas was defeated.

Did you think that Disney had learned its lesson? Silly you! Disney's problem wasn't only skin deep--it's entire C-Suite and management structure is steeped in ESG and DEI ideology, and it will take a lot more than massive public criticism, losing billions of dollars, and a political beating to change course. The simple fact is that Disney has been captured by the Woke Mind Virus, and like a Zombie, it can take a lot of damage before it falls down and gives up. Elon Musk, as you can see, got a leaked document that specified Disney's mandatory targets for content, creatives, and line employees. On their face the targets look

Haley, the last remaining rival to frontrunner Trump for the Republican presidential nomination, was the only major Republican candidate contesting the party's Nevada primary on Tuesday. Trump was not on the ballot. U.S. President Joe Biden easily won Nevada's Democratic presidential primary after dominating his party's first nominating contest in South Carolina on Saturday.

As we reported earlier, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit ruled against former President Donald Trump in his appeal on presidential immunity from prosecution. The three-judge panel affirmed the ruling of the District Court in the matter. The appeal delayed the start of the election interference case that had been set for March 4. Now, it should be noted that even though the ruling went against Trump, just the filing of it bought him some time, as George Washington law professor Jonathan Turley explained. “The most practical impact of this appeal was indeed the delay that it caused. The House on Tuesday rejected a bill to provide $17.6 billion in aid for Israel, sinking Congress’s latest effort to help its embattled Middle Eastern ally and throwing the fate of future foreign aid into question. The tally was 250-180 — short of the two-thirds majority needed to pass the measure — with critics in both parties joining forces to quash it. The stunning vote marked a defeat for Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), who has opposed Democratic efforts to combine new Israel funding with other security provisions, including aid for Ukraine, and sought to pressure Democrats into swallowing the Israel piece as a stand-alone bill.

In a dramatic setback, House Republicans failed Tuesday to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, forced to shelve a high-profile priority — for now — after a few GOP lawmakers refused to go along with the party’s plan. The stunning roll call fell just a few votes short of impeaching Mayorkas, stalling the Republicans’ drive to punish the Biden administration over its handling of the U.S-Mexico border. With Democrats united against the charges, the Republicans needed almost every vote from their slim majority to approve the articles of impeachment. The House is likely to revisit plans to impeach Mayorkas, but next steps are highly uncertain.

Imagine a Russia-Ukraine-type conflict in the U.S. Thanks to Hollywood, most Americans believe that rebellions can be started and won by small ragtag groups of patriots, freedom fighters, insurrectionists, or everyday common folk. The bill would also increase legal immigration to the U.S., even as Biden has driven the nation’s foreign-born population to nearly 50 million — the largest ever in American history.
