On the eve of the Iowa caucuses, Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida, a former ally of Donald J. Trump, delivered a blistering critique of the former President, implying that Trump prioritizes personal loyalty over the nation’s welfare.
In 2017, Donald Trump, who was then serving as President, threw his support behind Ron DeSantis in the race for Florida’s governorship. This endorsement from Trump was a significant boost for DeSantis, a tea-party conservative, enabling him to surpass the right-wing GOP candidate Adam Putnam, who was serving as Florida’s agriculture commissioner at the time, Politico reported.

DeSantis is mostly correct. Trump does serve himself - and myself, yourself, all our selves collectively together. Even DeSantis' self. It is a shame Ron jumped the shark and ran too soon. He IS a great governor and might have even made a great president - in the future.

If Trump is "self serving" it's only because he wants what we want and that's a free country that works under the guidelines of a historical document that was used to form this country and hasn't failed yet if it is adhered to and not abused. You will be smarter in another four years, Ron, so do us a favor...

Yep, President Trump served himself right into the crosshairs of the Deep State on our behalf. He served himself into near bankruptcy, assassination attempts, backstabbing cabinet, military and administration personnel (including a traitorous VP), a global “pandemic” and a successful coup to remove him from office. Yes Ron, he is one “self-serving” SOB.

Sanctimonious is showing his political skills - IOWs, he is dumber than AOC. He should have endorsed 45 and waited until 2028, but no, Sanctimonious is impatient and thinks he is God's gift to government. He, again, is dumber than AOC. He should continue to govern Florida and wait his turn.

Are the people directing DeSantis's campaign aware that Trump has lost tens of millions of dollars while running for president, as president, and defending himself in court against all these Marxist lawsuits. Are these people aware that Trump gave away his salary as president to causes that helped people. If that's self-serving, then they have no idea what self-serving means.

Maark Levin gave him quite a lot of time. He launched into an uninterrupted monologue on his greatness in which I, me, my, mine were his main words. He looked harried, unkempt, and decidedly unpresidential. Now all he has is another attack on President Trump. Pathetic.

#14 You are right. He does always look unkempt, wrinkled clothes. His hair almost looks greasy and he needs a new barber. And his wife looks like a walking skeleton, nothing feminine about her. I pray they don't make it to our White House.

It's not that all seekers of political office are selfish, self-serving bigots, it's a matter of which one of them pushes any of your own buttons.

Ron, are you still taking pay as governor of Florida when you spend much/most of your time campaigning and serving your own ambitions?

I guess it's perfectly okay for Trump to criticize DeSantis, but DeSantis cannot criticize him. Trump still seems to be worried about DeSantis.

Respectfully disagree. President Trump endorsed Ron DeSantis for governor of Florida; Ron DeSantis later sharply criticized President Trump. When an individual is asked for help and offers support, and then that individual is disrespected, it is human nature to react and that reaction may, at times, be in an abrupt manner.
