Loay Alnaji, a computer science professor at Ventura County Community College, was arrested Thursday morning and charged with involuntary manslaughter after he was involved in a deadly confrontation with pro-Israel demonstrator Paul Kessler.
In early November, Kessler died of his wounds following “a physical altercation with counter-protestor(s),” in Los Angeles, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement afterward. “During the altercation, Kessler fell backward and struck his head on the ground. The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the cause of death to be blunt force head injury and the manner of death homicide,” the statement continued.

The Census Bureau is asking Congress for $10 million to figure out how best to promote the fiction that sex is assigned at birth, rather than the scientific fact that it is present at conception. It is part of a new set of questions on sexual orientation and gender identity that the bureau wants to ask residents even as young as 15.
This expansion beyond race and ethnicity represents a new foray into sexual identity — one more step in the bureau’s decadeslong degeneration into an agency completely captured by the identity-mongering industry, and which produces the supposedly “victim” categories that the industry requires.

ValueAct Capital has built a large stake in Walt Disney and sees room for the media and entertainment giant’s stock price to roughly double, people familiar with the investment firm’s thinking said Wednesday. San Francisco-based ValueAct has known the Disney team for more than a decade and has been in contact with management as it built its stake over the last months, said the sources, who were not permitted to discuss the firm’s views publicly.
While the exact size of the stake is unclear and it could not be learned what specific changes ValueAct may be pushing for, the people said ValueAct believes

President Joe Biden told reporters in San Francisco Wednesday that he would not impose a deadline on Israel to end its war against Hamas in Gaza, until “Hamas no longer maintains the capacity to murder and abuse and do horrific things to the Israelis.”
Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, killing roughly 1,400 people, wounding thousands more, taking some 240 hostages, and committing atrocities that shocked the world. Hamas recently vowed to repeat such attacks in the future until it destroys Israel.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are currently trying to dislodge Hamas from its headquarters at Shifa Hospital, where it has hidden terrorists and weapons, in

The Senate passed a short-term spending bill on Wednesday that will stave off a partial government shutdown for at least another two months.
In an 87-11 vote, senators overwhelmingly approved sending the legislation to President Biden’s desk, who is expected to sign the measure into law before Friday’s midnight deadline to keep federal operations going. “I want to thank my colleagues for voting to keep the government open,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer told reporters after the vote.
The temporary government funding package was opposed by one Democrat, Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.), and 10 Republicans, Sens. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), Mike Braun (R-Ind.), Mike Crapo (R-Idaho), Mike Lee (R-Utah), Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.),

On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “AC360,” CNN Senior White House Correspondent MJ Lee reported that President Joe Biden almost started revealing too much sensitive information about negotiations over the hostages held by Hamas during his press conference that day, and had to look to Secretary of State Antony Blinken to see if he was giving away too many details.
Lee said, “Anderson, if I could just note one more very interesting moment that stood out to me and — helpful, because I was sitting so close to the front row, I was in the second row, the first row of reporters in this press conference, when

Credit to Yashar Ali for pointing this out. I don’t have a TikTok account but Ali reports that Osama Bin Laden’s “Letter to America” is suddenly going viral on the site with hundreds of random people falling over themselves to praise and recommend it.
Over the past 24 hours, thousands of TikToks (at least) have been posted where people share how they just read Bin Laden’s infamous “Letter to America,” in which he explained why he attacked the United States.
The TikToks are from people of all ages, races, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Many of them say that reading the letter has opened their eyes, and they’ll never see

The Disney Grooming Syndicate’s The Marvels posted the worst first Monday box office in the doomed Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) history.
After breaking the record for the worst opening weekend in the history of the 15-year-old MCU, The Marvels earned just $2.4 million on Monday. For context, The Eternals (also bombed) earned just $4.2 million on its first Monday, but that’s much more than The Marvels’ $2.4 million.
Weaker titles in the MCU, such as The Incredible Hulk (2008), Ant-Man (2015), and this year’s Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantunobodycares had first Mondays of $6 million, $6.4 million, and $14.2 million respectively.

Israel officials claimed they found “concrete evidence” of Hamas operating a military facility beneath al Shifa hospital during their overnight raid — as the military released photos Wednesday showing a jaw-dropping cache of weapons and combat gear recovered during the search.
The IDF carried out a “precise and targeted operation against Hamas” Tuesday night inside the hospital complex, which is housing more than 600 patients, 600 staffers and thousands of refugees displaced by the war. The Israeli military claimed it killed several Hamas gunmen during the raid and recovered a stash of weapons hidden around an MRI lab, including automatic weapons, grenades, ammunition and flak jackets.

Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee indicated that he is inclined to issue a protective order in the election interference case against Donald Trump and others, based on a request from District Attorney Fani Willis' office following the publication of confidential proffer interview videos by ABC News and other outlets.
ABC News was first to report on portions of videos exclusively obtained showing Fulton County prosecutors confidentially interviewing two attorneys, Sidney Powell and Jenna Ellis, who helped Trump try to overturn the 2020 election results in the state.
"On November 13, 2023, confidential video recordings of proffers conducted by the State with certain witnesses pursuant to guilty plea agreements were published by

The UK state broadcaster issued an apology on Wednesday after incorrectly reporting Israeli soldiers were targeting “medical teams as well as Arab speakers” while clearing Hamas terrorists out of a Gaza hospital.
The BBC said its report on the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) taking on Hamas terrorists inside a hospital “fell below our usual editorial standards” after the newsreader stated attacks were targeting medics and Arabic speakers.
The live televised report, which caused outrage and a complaint by the Board of Deputies of British Jews, saw BBC newsreader Monica Miller state to the audience that:
…at this moment we are hearing from Reuters that is reporting Israel says its forces are carrying

A video clip that went viral on Tuesday showed an Al Jazeera reporter abruptly terminating an interview with a wounded Gaza resident at the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital on November 5 when the injured man began criticizing Hamas.
The Jerusalem Post dated the video clip to a Tuesday broadcast on the Qatari network. The interview began promisingly for Al Jazeera, as the elderly hospital patient was not a fan of Israel’s bombing campaign against the Hamas terrorists.
“It was not one house that was bombed. An entire compound was erased – over 15 or 20 houses. Is this a human act? No, this is a criminal act,” the man said, as translated
