A union representing nearly 150,000 autoworkers launched a strike early Friday morning against the Big 3 U.S. automakers -- General Motors, Ford and Stellantis.
The United Auto Workers, or UAW, and the car manufacturers failed to reach a contract agreement before a deadline set by the union for Thursday at 11:59 p.m. ET. Less than two hours before the deadline, UAW president Shawn Fain announced the plants where union members would strike if a tentative agreement wasn't reached in time. By midnight Friday, that amounted to approximately 12,700 union workers, including ones at GM in Wentzville, Missouri; Stellantis in Toledo, Ohio; and Ford’s Wayne, Michigan plant.

The UAW supported and had their members vote for Biden, who then created huge inflation, and now they want huge pay increases to keep up with the inflation they help cause. NO!!!!!!!!!!!

It's as if the Big 3 were running around the winner's circle tossing their laurel wreathes. What better way is there to face a Bidenomic Winter empty handed? F. Joe Warbucks could send over some baby formula, or pull off chunks of Hunter's stash for you. Or not.

While wearing my tinfoil hat tonight, I received this transmission: The dealerships have a backlog of EVs on their lots they can't sell. The UAW strikes and that stops the deliveries of any new ICE vehicles, thus forcing any new car buyers into an EV or nothing. End of transmission.

Need some recently acquired Hispanic illegal invaders, Big Three, you can use as "scabs?" We've got plenty we can bus up there to you immediately. Fair warning: Language might be an issue.
Signed,
Gov. Greg Abbott

The Ph.D. Students of the University of California are represented by the UAW. Also admissions and fellowships are biased toward Illegal Alien parasites.

No one is buying new cars because they are so expensive. New cars are being repossessed because people can't pay their debts. No one is buying EVs they make. The Big Three are in financial trouble. So the UAW strikes. Makes sense. Must be that the UAW has adopted Bidenomics.

The dumba** they voted for wants to kill off about 500,000 jobs with his EV obsession, they better think twice about supporting him again or they won't have a job to strike for, they will be standing in the unemployment line lamenting how good they had it until Joe Biden betrayed them with his kill off the gas and oil industry.

They "workers" have plenty of money in the strike fund. They're not sacrificing anything so this can go on for weeks.

The UAW and workers are trying to kill the hand that feeds them with their insatiable appetite for more more more while doing less. Their greed will destroy the US auto industry along with all of the other suppliers jobs that go along with it.

The UAW’s demands are laughable and they know it. The union members are being used as pawns in a bigger game. They will receive ‘strike pay’, which is next to nothing while UAW leadership pass by picketers in their limos and wave. Whatever increase they get now will never make up for the loss of income while they stand on the sidewalk.

Unfortunately more non-Union folks related to the industry will lose their jobs. This is why unions have no sympathy from most people. Anywhere else in America you would be liable for losses. Anywhere else in America you would be charged with racketeering. Laws that apply to everyone else do not apply.

The unions are nothing but conspiracies to pay themselves more than the market would, and pay those additions by charging others being paid at market wages. Maybe one day people will realize they are being had, but I doubt it.

Decades ago was on the Buy American bandwagon. Two Fords and one Olds. Constant problems. Then I found out the Ford I was driving was made in Mexico. So since then have had 3 Toyotas and 3 Subarus none of which have ever burned a drop of oil.

I believe that they have gone a bridge too far. A 20% increase should more than make up the Bidenflation resulting electing Biden, but a 40% pay increase and 40 hours pay for 32 hour of work is outrageous!
I hope they enjoy the strike fund funded vacation. I sure Biden will enjoy taxing it. This will price US autos out of the auto market. #RIP
