Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Monday told an Australian woman complaining about "too many American flags" to go back to her country in response to a video of her posted to social media.
TikTok user Mia Chloe, who goes by the username @meanderwithmia, often posts about "Traveling the world on a budget & no brain cells," according to her account page. In a video posted several days ago, she called out the abundance of American flags she observed in her travels to the United States.
"I'm just going to say it. There are too many American flags. They're on houses. They're on cars. Some are on couch cushions," she said.

Stupid isn't limited to just American youth-here is a fine example of an empty headed twit who already lives under an authoritarian regime. Go home, Sheila.

When she says "No brain cells," she's right. Insulting the country when you're a guest is downright dumb. When she admits she doesn't know what the Australian flag looks like, she's really showing her ignorance.

I've read quite a few posts and comments from visitors from other countries mentioning the same thing. Everywhere you go there is an American flag. One person commented, "Do Americans forget what country they're in?" In no other country in the world do citizens of that country fly as many flags of their country as we do here in the U.S. Other comments by visitors mention the number of drug commercials on our tv programs, the price of items one buys does not include the sales tax, and why are there so many blacks on tv commercials and programs? They don't see that many black people while traveling around, so why are there so many on tv. They also mention the size of drinks. Do people really drink that much soda? One of my complaints about Europe is the lack of cold drinks. Don't they make ice in Europe? Drinking a warm beer or soda isn't refreshing.

Displaying an American flag is a patriotic protest against the current Brandon Reign of Terror.

We’ve got even more Texas flags here than US flags….. way more than most other states. Even truck makers include them in their truck emblems…

I haven't flown the American flag for quite a few years. This is no longer the country the flag once represented.
Nowadays when I fly anything it is the Bonny Blue and my state flag.

Talk about rude. If I was visiting another country I might complain about the food or the weather but never the country itself. And we're called the Ugly Americans.

She probably wasn't even aware of concealed firearms. That would completely blow her pea brain into a splattered mess

In the early 1940s, there were a lot of American flags flying in Australia, as American troops defended Australia from Japanese invasion and likely take-over. More U.S. flags adorned U.S. Navy ships in the Coral Sea, just off the northeast coast of Australia, as our navy kept the sea lanes open so Australia would not be cut off from its allies.

Thank you, Governor Abbott, for not apologizing to this person. What kind of dolt goes to another country and criticizes it? Go home and stay there.

I remember back in the 1960’s when I was in Australia and went to the movies, and when the screen opened Queen Elizabeth was depicted in a red military uniform sitting on a horse. Then everyone, including us, stood up and the National Anthem was played. As Americans at the time it was beyond comprehension for us to complain about those acts of patriotism by the Australian audience in their own country. As I remember we observed Australian flags flying all over and of course paid them due respect.

She doesn’t know what the flag of her own country looks like? Are they not present in Australian classrooms? Her ignorance is astounding and yet she’s out there bragging about it. Maybe she’ll get to experience a tornado up close and personal while she’s out in the Midwest.

Yes. I read some more about her. What a whiner. Couldn't handle the thunderstorms that happened while she was in Kansas.
She called herself "brainless", and I'll have to agree with her self-diagnosis.

When Princess Mia meets her first payroll, gives CPR to someone with a mouthful of vomit or takes the time she’s spending visiting and critiquing middle class American suburbs to work in a homeless shelter or pick up trash then maybe she’ll gain at least one brain cell and then she can speak about things that matter.

Thanks to the United States Navy I was able to visit different countries Australia being one of them. I was barely 19 years old during my first time there in Darwin. It was a great time as I meet a someone there and she took me all over the town and on many tourist sites. It was funny when my fellow sailors wondered who the cute blonde girl was that was asking for me when she came to see me onboard ship. At no time did I complain about being in her country. This lady needs to realize that it's not nice to complain about someone else's country when you are a guest. I as a veteran fly the flag proudly at my house and have a sticker on my car. I also have one in my office given to me by another vet friend of mine. I would like to tell Mia if she doesn't like our flag being displayed everywhere then she's free to travel elsewhere. I hear China's nice this time of year.

My wife (a Democrat) used to complain about my flying the flag. I had to limit it to flag holidays. But then after 2001, I would fly it every day. And wear flag pins.
