Update:
The New York Post's Miranda Devine tweeted out an update on early Monday morning, in the form of a letter from the Southern District of New York (SDNY) making clear that they don't expect Archer to surrender before his Monday testimony before the House Oversight Committee. Writing to U.S. District Judge Ronnie Abrams, U.S. Attorney Damian Williams noted that "[t]o be clear, the Government does not request (and has never requested) that the defendant surrender before his Congressional testimony." The letter also added that the process involved "can take several weeks or months after the Court sets a surrender date."

Yeah, they want him in jail before the cameras are fixed and the guards come back from vacation.

This was still an attempt to intimidate him before his testimony, the Bidens and his Dept of Justice and the FBI are all about covering for Hunter and mostly covering for Joe. They should all be in jail, from the top down!

The DOJ could not prevent him from testifying, but they can remind him that they own his butt for the next few year, so tread carefully.

I’m wondering if they “got to” Archer with threats to him and his family. Will he claim he doesn’t know for sure who the “ big guy” is? Will he now say he never heard Joe on the speaker phone, could of big one of the brothers? Biden seems so smug and chill, I’m really afraid they got Archer to change his testimony.

I applaud Mr. Archer's courage and pray for his safety. We'll have to wait and hear his testimony to know if he pulls any punches. May his Guardian Angel have a Heavenly Swat Team at his side.

NO activity, no detail is too small for our brave Dept of Just-Us to employ covering up for the Big Guy.I don't understand how tens of thousands of public servants can blindly do whatever it takes to ensure the Big Guy continues his reign of failure!

Archer had to know it’s a suicide mission from the start. All eyes will be fixed on his prison time, waiting for the expected. And what’s worse is, the DOJ knows they can get away with murder…literally.

I've learned that there are sentences, and that there are sentences within sentences. I'm not talking about grammar.
How and where the sentence is spent --medium, minimal or maximum security or solitary -- is not decided in any courtroom
or even in the light of day, and evidently prosecutors can exert considerable influence on the assignment.

The clarification did not withdraw the intimidation, as the threat to put the witness in jail, before his appeals are exhausted, is still there.

Whoever ordered that letter and whoever wrote and signed it have to be either pretty dumb lawyers or are completely politicized!

Very simple explanation to 'clarify'': the big guy called and told us 'You better take care of this, or I'll have your hide. You know what a one-way ticket to Russia means don't you! Followed by a ton of expletives. So, you can understand we had no choice!

The DOJ and FBI are so compromised that they totally lost at this point. I think the time has arrived where we need to disband them and set up military tribunals to try them all for their crimes. Just like at Nuremberg.

Gotta wonder if the DOJ expected this level of blowback.
