Washington—With heat waves spreading across the United States, President Joe Biden on Thursday announced new steps to protect workers — including a hazard alert notifying employers and employees about ways to stay protected from extreme heat — as well as measures to improve weather forecasts and make drinking water more accessible.
The actions come as nearly 40% of the U.S. population faces heat advisories, according to the National Weather Service. High temperatures have already scorched the Southwest this month, and more heat is expected in the Midwest and the Northeast in the coming days. Washington won’t be spared, and the heat index in the capital could reach 110 degrees Fahrenheit

The race is on to prevent the sinking of a cargo ship off the Dutch coast which is carrying almost 3,000 vehicles, including 350 Mercedes-Benz, as it burns out of control with an electric car believed to be behind the deadly fire. At least one crew member died and others were injured after fire ripped through the Fremantle Highway, a 18,500-ton car-carrying vessel. Rescue helicopters and boats evacuated 23 crew members from the Panamanian-registered ship. Officials have said there are 'many' wounded. Some suffered broken bones, burns and breathing problems and were taken to hospitals in the northern Netherlands

MSNBC’s Mehdi Hasan is angry about the FOX News coverage of the Hunter Biden scandals. Having absolutely zero self-awareness, Hasan wondered on Twitter what would happen if Democrats had a propaganda arm in the media.
Apparently, Hasan has never heard of MSNBC. Or CNN. Or the New York Times, the Washington Post, NBC News, ABC News, CBS News, The View, the Huffington Post, etc.
This is the Twitter post that set Hasan off:

President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, could be jailed if he consumes any drugs or alcohol, according to the conditions of his release signed by U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika.
Biden appeared in federal court in Delaware on Wednesday, where he was expected to enter a guilty plea as part of a deal negotiated between his lawyers and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) arising out of charges of illegally possessing a handgun and failing to pay two years’ worth of federal taxes. However, the plea deal fell apart after Judge Noreika questioned whether the deal covered future charges from the DOJ’s ongoing investigation into the first son.

Another aide to Donald Trump has been charged in the Mar-a-Lago classified documents case.
Carlos De Oliveira, Mar-a-Lago's head of maintenance, has been named as the third defendant alongside the former president and his valet Walt Nauta.
In addition, prosecutors are piling more charges on former President Donald Trump. They are additional charges related to obstruction of justice and willful retention of national defense information. Special Counsel Jack Smith's team added them to the existing indictment Thursday evening.

Bud Light parent company Anheuser-Busch announced it will be slashing 2 percent off its employment roster, or nearly 400 positions, in an attempt to “simplify and reduce layers within its organization.”
“Today we took the very difficult but necessary decision to eliminate a number of positions across our corporate organization,” Anheuser-Busch chief executive Brendan Whitworth noted in a written statement. “While we never take these decisions lightly, we want to ensure that our organization continues to be set for future long-term success.”
Whitworth elaborated that frontline workers including “brewery and warehouse staff, drivers, and field sales, among others” would not be in the crosshairs

Earlier today Senator Rand Paul went on with Maria Bartiromo on FOX Business Network.
Senator Paul does not support impeachment for Joe Biden at this point. He wants to see more evidence. And, being such an upstanding American citizen, Paul does not believe every president should be impeached. He leave that to Democrats. Later on Thursday morning Senator John Thune joined Stuart Varney and also pushed back against impeachment. Senator Thune and Senator Paul need to see more evidence before they support impeaching Joe Biden. They are upstanding citizens.

Chinese automakers are looking to flood the United States market with cheap Electric Vehicles (EVs) as President Joe Biden’s administration has made a rapid all-electric, green energy push without having first ensured domestic manufacturing capacity.
According to Axios, Chinese automakers like BYD Co. Ltd., Li Auto, Xpeng Motors, Nio Inc., and Geely are looking to the U.S. market to sell cheap EVs to Americans as the Biden administration makes its push for an all-electric economy. “William Li, CEO of Chinese EV company Nio, recently told the Financial Times that the U.S. should offer Chinese EVs equal access to the American market,

Hunter Biden reportedly appeared “agitated” and “worried” as his original plea deal fell apart in court on Wednesday.
The president’s son entered the courtroom with hopes the judge would approve his “sweetheart” plea deal with the Justice Department (DOJ). As he walked into the courtroom, Hunter Biden drew a deep breath and bolted to greet the prosecutors with “handshakes” and a “smile,” the New York Times reported.Hunter Biden’s prosecutors investigated him for five years before leveling charges of tax and gun violations. In June, Hunter Biden agreed to a plea deal that his lawyers believed would keep him out of prison and

Hunter’s defense team then had to say that without the immunity, tnere was no plea agreement. It was all about future immunity.
