President Joe Biden boasted Wednesday at a NATO gathering in Vilnius, Lithuania, that the United States has given more money to Ukraine than all other nations combined.
Biden and Zelensky gave brief remarks before a bilateral meeting between their administrations at the summit, with Zelensky thanking Americans for $43 billion in military aid. “I want to thank to all Americans. We understand that it is more than $43 billions for today. It is big support, I understand this is all your money, but you have to know that you spend this money not just for fighting. You spend this money for our lives. And I think that we

And all the other nations love it since they don't have to open their wallets.

And during our revolutionary war, France provided weapons and troops, including their fleet blockading the Chesapeake Bay to prevent the British fleet from rescuing Cornwallis, trapped on the Yorktown peninsula.
I see this as paying it forward.
But, so many Americans have swallowed the entire Russian propaganda line, sad to say, furiously hating people fighting for their freedom.
Here in Scotland people have significant hardships from the nat gas prices increasing fivefold, yet they support Ukraine.

Yes, we all appreciate the support of France in our Revolutionary War. Sadly, unlike the USA, the revolution in France not long after ours was the complete opposite of our successful one.
Having said that - Ukraine is not our battle or war. Wasn't a crisis when Russia took Crimea. And just what freedom does one speak of in Ukraine? Your precious Zelensky has locked up opposition parties, journalists, etc. He isn't any different than Putin except Putin has more class to know to wear a suit at appropriate occasions. Our tax dollars are paying the Ukrainian civil service workers and pensioners - some freedom.

I'm pretty sure Zelensky is taking a "commission" on all of those billions. Russia is certainly in the wrong here, but why aren't the other NATO nations doing more? This war is in their backyard. And there needs to be an accounting of the money we send.

#5, I might agree if Ukraine wasn’t rife with corruption. Its corrupt reputation is well known around the world. It was and probably is the Maytag capital of the world. While I do appreciate what France did for us during the Revolutionary War, I believe D-Day settled that score.
Furthermore, we all know this would war would be a moot issue if President Trump had been in office. He would have leaned hard on both countries to settle this peacefully and I believe he would have been successful. Ever give a thought to the fact that this war was one reason democrats and Republican war mongers did not want Trump anywhere near the White House? Democrats need the chaos of war to move forward their global agenda while Republicans want the money that flows to them from the military industrial complex.
Trump was right about Iraq. They, meaning the political class, lied to us. There were no weapons of mass destruction and they knew it, but there was money to be made and chaos to be had. War is a business that feeds a lot of mouths and consolidates a lot of power. The sooner the American people understand this, things may change. We are tired of sending our sons and daughters to fight and die for the whims of a thoroughly self-focused and corrupt group of elites who rarely suffer any personal loss because of their decisions. If this wasn’t true, we would have easily won every war since WWII. We have all the resources. What we lacked was the will to win when politicians got involved in the business of fighting. They make vast amounts of money and become more powerful when wars never end.

The way biden talks...you'd think it was his money...it's the taxpayers paying the price...along with the Ukrainian citizens...not the power hungry political leaders....it's time for a summit to stop this madness....

Actually, it is entirely probable that Ukraine actually has less corruption than the USA, just a bit less well covered up by the enemedia.
Anyone who imagines that the US corruption is less... I say, show some proof.
