How the Biden corruption empire ran under

I know Romanian corruption. When I was exiting the country in 1987 after investigating its collapsing economy, I made sure to bribe every guard who searched my luggage at the Bucharest airport with a pack of Kent cigarettes. But I neglected to give a pack to the soldier on the tarmac as I walked to my Lufthansa flight. He was soon screaming and waving his submachine gun in my direction. Whoops. After the fall of the Communist regime, the US State Department launched a program to help Romania curtail corruption. Vice President Joe Biden masterminded that effort from 2009 to 2016.

I was there back in the 80's. We were advised to bring American cigarettes and one dollar bills to get things done. There were soldiers on every street corner with AK47's. The regular people there were as nice as could be.

#3–I also spent a lot of time in the Warsaw Pact countries, including Romania, in the ‘80’s. I was a sleeping car conductor for the (west) German railroad. Other handy trade items, besides smokes and cash were Bic lighters, Levi’s jeans, Wrigleys gum, and recent western records (on cassette). It was SOP with the railroad (the company for sleeping and dining cars was actually a wholly owned subsidiary of the railroad) to leave out an open bottle of beer when customs came to check the passengers' passports. Bribing a stationmaster to produce the paperwork or have the car serviced and catered went on expenses (this was also the case in some “western” countries such as Italy, Greece and Turkey). The lucky part was the union had a clause for Dienstbier—service beer—where we’d get one 333 ml bottle for every two hours. But conductors and engineers weren’t allowed to drink it underway. For a long run, say Munich to Athens, we’d get almost two cases to bring along. So a bottle for each border crossed wasn’t onerous.

You can talk Soros and all the rest but the real nexus is the Press, who either didn't cover or covered dishonestly (when forced) far as I am concerned, our corrupt Leftist Press is the reason Biden grifted with impunity---and he knew it! How they can live with themselves is beyond me: I suspect they feel that we the people are too stupid and they, the intelligent ones, can tailor everything to the results they want. The end justifies the means.

Is there little wonder now why Romania has been unable to gain EU membership. During my business trips to Romania post-9/11, I did not have to look far to see whose palms amongst local government officials were being greased. The losers were the young Romanian soldiers I would converse with who were guarding the embassy district 24/7. Their orders were to patrol the perimeter along wrought iron fences. They knew who was "being taken care of" and it wasn't them. Biden the cheater certainly knew who was the Romanian sugar daddy when he was vp. Same as Ukraine. Same as {fill in the blank}.

As I have posted many times here, I was stationed at the US Embassy in Bucharest from 1983-1986. Almost all of our food and necessities were flown in every two months from the PX in Frankfurt, Germany on a loaded C130. A considerable part of that load was cases of Kent cigarettes. The country’s currency had very little value and we paid for almost everything locally with packs of Kents. Our embassy officials also handed them out when dealing with the government hierarchy there. One couldn’t much get through a day without bribing someone with Kents. When we were finally leaving at the end of our tour, we gave a bottle of cheap scotch and some Kents to the Romanian who booked our flight home and he bumped us up from economy to business class. The Bidens went to Romania and found that they fit right in. Though I’m sure that they weren’t paid off in Kents.

Government is synonymous with corruption. It always has been and it always will be. And as government grows geometrically, corruption grows exponentially. This is why we were to have a limited government. But Roosevelt fixed that. And probably got rich doing it.

It didn’t run under the radar. Everyone in Washington DC knew, as well as sound the world. What do you think the blackmail has been all about with China, Ukraine, Romania and God knows where else? The Biden family had been corrupt for decades. The Clintons knew, Obama knew, even the press knew. They simply chose to turn a blind eye, either because they got a piece of the action, or they didn’t want someone on their side getting in trouble.

I spent a couple years growing up in the middle east. They had a thing called Baksheesh, which was a bribe for official action. It didnt matter what you wanted or on what level of government, this bribe was expected and without it you got nothing. Every document had an official stamp and that stamp would not be found until you fessed up with a few bucks. Even getting permission to paint our car cost, as did permission to get a phone. Its a sign of 3rd world corruption, kind of like what has come here.

Florida Gov. Speaking at a GOP event in Sioux City, Iowa, on Saturday, DeSantis said the insecurity of the border has led to deaths primarily caused by Mexican drug cartels and the flow of deadly fentanyl smuggled into the U.S. "I'd shut down the border immediately. Why are we letting this happen to our country? It's hurting people. The drugs are pouring into the country," DeSantis said. "Americans are dying for what's going on at border. American Presidents come in two flavors. The first category includes Presidents whose overall approval rating exceeds the approval ratings for individual aspects such as handling the economy and immigration. In other words, they are more popular overall than in specific areas. The second category comprises Presidents whose approval ratings for specific aspects are higher than their overall approval rating. In this case, they may be more successful in particular areas but do not enjoy the same level of overall support. President Biden belongs to the first category; his overall approval does not reflect the underlying weaknesses. CORRECTION*

In the final hours before Title 42 goes away, everything surrounding the waves of illegal migrants has grown increasingly surreal. New video footage shows stunningly long lines of migrants freely — but illegally — making their way from Mexico into Texas, even as Team Biden keeps calling the border “secure.” Many migrants are never caught. But for those who are, or who voluntarily turn themselves in after crossing illegally, Customs and Border Protection is supposed to issue notices to appear to be “removed.” Few ever show up. Those who do so get hearings where they may legally be released, even though they’re still technically illegal immigrants.

A former top intelligence officer with oversight of threats ahead of the 2020 election said the Central Intelligence Agency had "no evidence" at the time that Hunter Biden's laptop had anything to do with a Russian disinformation campaign, despite claims from then-candidate Joe Biden's allies. It was signed by former President Obama CIA Director John Brennan, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and former CIA director and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, among others. Jordan recounted his allegation that then-Biden campaign adviser Antony Blinken was the "impetus" behind the letter, which he said was organized in-part by former CIA Deputy Director Michael Morell, who testified before the Judiciary Committee earlier in May.

Biden, McCarthy and other congressional leaders were scheduled to meet on Friday to talk about a possible deal to increase the borrowing limit and meet the GOP demand of reducing federal spending. But that meeting was pushed until next week, and McCarthy said the delay is because the White House isn't budging.
