The Nashville Church Where the Tragic
Shooting Took Place Gives a Sermon Worth Hearing

Original Article

The Nashville Covenant School shooting is still a painfully fresh wound for many, especially the families of the three children whose lives were senselessly taken by a woman identifying as a transgender man. The manifesto of the shooter has yet to be released so it’s currently unclear why this woman targeted this school specifically, but for the Covenant Presbyterian Church, to which the school belongs, this atrocity isn’t deterring faith. Rev. Billy Barnes took the stage at the church for the first sermon after the shooting took place and began speaking. While he alluded to the shooting, his focus was on one fact; that God was still in control.

Christians better become politically active and not hunker in the bunker, thinking that prayer will do the trick.

Prayer is definitely part of the equation, #1. So is speaking up, speaking out, and being highly aware of where we spend our money. Don't stereotype Christians as pearl-clutching, timid people.

#2- Without a doubt. However, save for a very few, true Christian leaders, willing to lead from the front, the message from the pulpit is largely absent of being visible, verbal and involved.

MSNBC anchor Chris Hayes said Wednesday on his show “All In” that many people, including him, were “permanently scarred” by Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential victory. Hayes said, “Even by the standards of our time, of this day and age in the avalanche of news and spectacle, this sort of dizzying clawing for your attention the last 24 hours have really been something else. So I want to begin tonight by just taking a second here to try to collectively just wrap our heads around the meaning and significance of what we have seen in the last 24 hours.” He continued, “Of course, we have to begin with the biggest story,

Some conservatives have suggested that the Democrat persecution of Trump won’t stop until conservatives start going after Democrats in the same way. Former George W. Bush spokesman Ari Fleischer is now one of them. Last night on the Hannity show, he suggested that conservative prosecutors need to go after people like the Clintons and Hunter Biden. From Real Clear Politics: FOX News contributor and former Bush press secretary Ari Fleischer on Tuesday talked to FNC host Sean Hannity about how the indictment of former President Donald Trump violates the norms of politics and what Republicans should do to rein in the left.

The dumbest case ever just got dumber. The charges brought against President Trump by New York City DA Alvin Bragg make no sense. You would think that if you were going to indict a President of the United States that you would have a case. But this case offers nothing. DA Bragg should resign. His case against Trump is shockingly weak. On Tuesday, immediately after receiving the indictment against President Trump, TGP analyzed the document. What stuck out was that Soros-backed Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg claims in his charges that President Trump made the accounting entries himself related to this case.
Tennessee Farmers Forced to Fight for

Here is yet another story about a government using eminent domain to steal property from its citizens. In this case, the state of Tennessee is seeking to seize land from farmers in order to benefit a private business. About a year ago, Ford Motor Company began building an electric truck plant in BlueOval City, a rural area of west Tennessee. It was met with optimism from the community at the prospect of having new jobs for residents. The government was enthused about the idea of having another source of tax revenue and made generous offers to the company to establish its plant in the state.

National Public Radio, known as one of America's most notoriously biased media outlets, earned a new badge on Twitter this week in a move that has already sent liberals screeching for their safe spaces and drawn applause from Americans who've long been irked by NPR's blatant anti-conservative — and often unpatriotic — programming. Twitter users first started noticing on Tuesday night that NPR's official account has been labeled "US state-affiliated media." [Tweet] Musk shared Twitter's Help Center definition for state-affiliated media and said it "seems accurate" after Twitter slapped the label on NPR's account.

After Tuesday's arraignment of former President Trump, Republicans rushed to defend him against the political persecution of Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg. However, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and his top allies stayed silent. McConnell, who reportedly hasn't spoken to Trump since December 2020, refrained from making any statement responding to Trump pleading not guilty to 34 felony counts. In fact, the Republican has not said anything regarding the indictment of Trump overall. "If we issue a statement, we will let everyone know," is all McConnell's top spokesman, David Popp, said following the arraignment. Instead, while the whole country was fixated on Trump's arraignment,

Trump attorney Joe Tacopina appeared on Good Day New York Wednesday morning to discuss Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s abusive prosecution of the former president. During the interview, Tacopina described a resolute Trump who remains strong and stiff-spined and determined to pursue a righteous course of legal action. The interview reminds us what a rare individual former President Donald J. Trump is: the more Big Left attacks him, the more energized he becomes to fight back — and he has the guts, spine, and resources to do it. The morning news show Good Day New York on Fox 5 in NYC is an undiscovered gem.

The $10 million-a-day Trump court circus will create a new Manhattan traffic tie-up amid the December Christmas shopping season when Trump returns to Manhattan on December 4 for his next hearing. Shut down Fifth Avenue and the FDR Drive. Close 56th Street and Fifth Avenue on the first Sunday after the big tree lighting. Oh my. New York is a glutton for punishment. The message from the court is: Rockefeller Center be jammed. In Florida, you can do procedural hearings on the phone if warranted. The defendant need not be present for a series of motions. Of course, New York still does many court filings on paper and not online.

According to Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings, Merchan donated three times to ActBlue in the summer of 2020, once on July 26, 2020, when the judge's donation was—according to the FEC—earmarked for President Joe Biden's 2020 presidential campaign. RedState’s Nick Arama has had Alvin Bragg’s number for quite some time, predicting that the 34-count indictment would amount to charge stacking and that there could be nothing a serious lawyer would put their name to in it (and she’s written a new analysis now that we have the actual indictment, here). I wrote earlier that once we saw the indictment we knew why Alvin Bragg wanted it to be sealed as long as possible, and that according to one reporter who was in the courtroom Trump’s attorneys laughed when they read it. Trump’s attorney Joseph Tacopino seemed to confirm this with an answer during a press conference after the indictment:

My introduction to San Francisco came in the late 1970s, when I spent a lot of time there as a young lawyer. For a Midwestern guy, the San Francisco of that era was a revelation: great restaurants, famous hotels on Nob Hill, fog drifting in off the Bay. But today’s San Francisco is, sadly, something else. The San Francisco Chronicle has a long, long article about the city’s demise: “Downtown S.F. on the brink: It’s worse than it looks.” And it looks really bad. The numbers are grim: "Don’t be fooled. The downtown area, the city’s primary economic driver, is teetering on the edge, facing challenges greater than

Now that we’ve seen what District Attorney Alvin Bragg has, the old Peggy Lee song comes to mind. Is that all there is? Yes, that’s all there is. The charges against Donald Trump are almost exactly as predicted. They are weak and, most important, political. As such, they are shockingly-blatant punishment for Trump daring to become president. In this sordid case, the letters D.A. stand for Democrat Attorney. The charges are the crime. Shame on Bragg for abusing his authority and turning his office into a partisan outpost.

Gov. Ned Lamont is back from the men's college basketball Final Four and basking in UConn's resounding victory — but apparently wasn't the biggest fan of the city that hosted the event. Asked Wednesday on WPLR's Chaz & AJ in the Morning to describe the scene after UConn's win over San Diego State, Lamont began with a comment on the city of Houston. "You walk around downtown Houston, which is butt ugly, not much there..." the governor began, before the highly amused hosts cut him off. "You know that's going to be tweeted," one of them said, laughing. "Get ready to hear from Houston. Houston, we have a problem."
