Biden Still Supports Gain-of-Function
Research Despite Potential Covid Links

The Biden administration remains supportive of gain-of-function research despite the potential risks as long as that research is pursued in a safe and transparent manner, national security council communications coordinator John Kirby explained on Monday. The controversial practice involves making pathogens more deadly or transmissible in order to better understand current or future pandemics, and thus be able to respond faster. Funding for the research was halted in 2014 during the Obama administration due to concerns about the risks: If modified pathogens escape the laboratory setting, they can cause pandemics.

But research has NOT been pursued in a safe and transparent manner, no reason to trust it will be in the future. And how nice the Biden admin is so willing to continue DESPITE the potential risks! Must be a mighty big pay-off in the results.

Making something worse is what Biden does best, so of course he supports making a virus more lethal through gain of function research.

I doubt if Biden even knows what gain of function is........he does whatever Dr. Jill and Susan Rice or whomever tells him, to do. To say Biden is like the inept French generals at the start of WW1: stupid, arrogant and massively inept, is a truism beyond contention, only WE don't have the USA and Great Britain to pull OUR coals out of the fire.

Biden has quailed as a dementia victim and is dangerous. Gain of function will be our Tower of Babble if these lunatics are allowed to proceed. From what I can remember it was outlawed here so Dr. Fauci and his ilk sent the study to China of all places. The Democrats can't be trusted if these people are allowed to run the show.

Biden is told that he supports it. This excuse of safe and transparent development of germ and viral warfare has been used since the 1940s when we confiscated the research from the Nazis and used it as the basis for our own development. You think COVID 19 was bad, just wait.

Biden doesn’t have any factual understanding of gain of function research. The people pushing this are supporting it on his behalf. The government and drug companies have learned that man made pandemics afford an easy pathway to control over the populace and result in billions of dollars in drug profits. Conspiracy theory? Wasn’t this the result? It was no accident.

Okay, I have to confess that Matt Yglesias definitely didn’t say what my headline does exactly. The word snowflake does not appear in his latest essay but I do think that’s a close approximation of his actual argument. And here I want to say that, while I may appear to be mocking it a bit, his piece is actually really good and worth reading. I’m not writing about it because I think it’s outrageous or wrong. I’m writing about it because I think it’s insightful and probably right. So there backdrop for this is the discussion that has been bouncing around lately about why teenagers, especially teen girls, are so depressed.

Eric Nelson, the vice president and editorial director of Broadside Books, tweeted on Tuesday that DeSantis’s book sales are “going to be bigger than the first week of sales for Ben Carson, Donald Trump, Joe Biden, and maybe even Barack Obama.” Former president Barack Obama’s 2006 book, Audacity of Hope, sold 66,786 copies in its first week, according to Bookscan

Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis explained why he went to war with the Disney corporation in a Wall Street Journal op-ed late Tuesday. The governor signed legislation revoking Disney’s special privileges and self-governing status established under the 1967 Reedy Creek Improvement Act. The new legislation, HB 9-B, established a new-state controlled district, a five-member state control board and requires the corporation to pay taxes to the state. DeSantis wrote in the op-ed that Disney’s special status is an “indefensible example of corporate welfare” that allowed the corporation to violate state fire safety codes and use eminent domain on private property outside of its district.

During a Tuesday Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Attorney General Merrick Garland refused to take responsibility for the Department of Justice’s failure to prosecute protesters who regularly demonstrate outside the homes of conservative Supreme Court justices, arguing that the federal marshals on the ground have the discretion to arrest the protesters and have chosen not to. In his first appearance before the 118th Congress, Garland was grilled by Republican senators about the Department of Justice’s failure to enforce a federal law that prohibits protests outside the homes of judges and jurors, who might be intimidated into changing their thinking on pending cases in response to such displays.

Russia has lost a large-scale tank battle for Vuhledar in Donetsk Oblast, getting ambushed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine — just as it did during the attack when using tank convoys at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Source: The New York Time Quote: "In the extended battle, both sides sent tanks into the fray, rumbling over dirt roads and manoeuvring around tree lines, with the Russians thrusting forward in columns and the Ukrainians manoeuvring defensively, firing from a distance or from hideouts as Russian convoys came into their sights. When it was over, not only had Russia failed to capture Vuhledar, but it also had made the same mistake

A multi-year U.S. intelligence review has deemed it "very unlikely" that a foreign adversary is behind the mysterious neurological symptoms known as "Havana Syndrome" that have been reported by more than a thousand American officials since 2016, eliminating a leading theory shared by some victims and lawmakers that U.S. personnel were being targeted by a hostile government. The unclassified assessment, released Wednesday by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), reflected the views of seven agencies that participated in the inquiry. "Most [intelligence community] agencies have concluded that it is 'very unlikely' a foreign adversary is responsible for the reported AHIs,"

The Government Accountability Office (GAO) released its report on the January 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol. The non-partisan government watchdog found that the U.S. Capitol Police and the FBI properly identified credible threats to the Capitol in the lead-up to the January 6 protest that turned into a riot but did not share information about those threats. There were 10 federal agencies responsible for protecting the Capitol that day and none of them fully processed or shared critical information about threats to the Capitol with each other. These threats included those of militia groups who were arming themselves in preparation for that day. The report specifically points to the FBI

The Democrat-run district that serves as the nation’s capital went so far as to allow foreign diplomats to cast a vote. That’s according to various reports that the city council passed the Local Resident Voting Rights Amendment Act after a 30-day congressional review period ended — the GOP-led House pushed to block the D.C. law from taking effect but the Democrat-run Senate let the clock expire without taking action. The law requires a person to be 18 and to have lived in D.C. for 30 days to be eligible to vote,
