US tells citizens to leave Russia immediately

The U.S. on Monday issued a top-level advisory telling American citizens to leave Russia immediately and cease travel to the country as Russia’s war against neighboring Ukraine continues, citing risks of harassment and wrongful detention for Americans specifically. “Do not travel to Russia due to the unpredictable consequences of the unprovoked full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian military forces, the potential for harassment and the singling out of U.S. citizens for detention by Russian government security officials, the arbitrary enforcement of local law, limited flights into and out of Russia, the Embassy’s limited ability to assist U.S. citizens in Russia, and the possibility of terrorism,”

We have plenty of harassment and unlawful detention right here, why look for it in Russia? At least they don't pretend it's something else.

Notice the phrase 'in and out of Russia.' That usage in English is for dangerous places. One goes 'in and out' of North Korea, Iran, even Mexico. Travelers go 'to and from' in most of the world like Denmark, France, Israel, Egypt etc. One does not go 'into' Arizona, but Chiapas or Sinaloa, yes. Odd, English speakers still go 'to and from' Cuba. Tiny examples why English is the world's greatest language.

I'd have loft quite a while ago....in fact, I did. I never had imagined that I'd go to Russia, let alone know downtown Moscow very well from walking over much of it for many years. It was an interesting time, and I took my wife on one trip, showed her all over Moscow, and we spent a few days in St. Petersburg, too. But I'd not go back again.

The US government taking national, high moral ground stances always makes me laugh. I visited the former Soviet Union, as well, #4. Moscow, Leningrad, Crimea, Sevastopol, Simferopol, Columna and the Golden Ring. It was a theatre exchange trip for 3 weeks. Saw some incredible things, but no, I would never go back, not because I would be afraid or because of politics, but because once was enough. I wonder if this warning is especially to those US citizens that may have been sent to Russia to spy or cause trouble, on behalf of the Global Elite Forces.

Americans in Russia had better heed that warning because they cannot rely on this government to get them out. Just look at Afghanistan. Joe will leave anyone behind and not think a thing about it. Furthermore, those beating the drums of war don’t give a flying fig about anything but the money to be had from the unnecessary destruction of property and lives. Those ghouls are going to bankrupt us or get us all killed. Our enemies know the time to attack is now because we have never been as weak and totally incompetent. The United States of America is ripe for the picking.

Senators were given a closed-door briefing on Tuesday on the three “objects” that were shot down over the U.S. and Canada over the weekend. While many of the Senators were limited in what they could say because the meeting was classified, senators on both sides of the aisle said that the Biden team should make the information known to the American people. Both sides called for more transparency from the Biden team. “There is a lot of information presented to us this morning that could be told to the American people without any harm to sources or methods or national security,” Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) said.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine took to the podium on Tuesday to update reporters and citizens about the devastating train derailment in E. Palestine, Ohio, on February 3. The small town has been reeling in the wake of the derailment and subsequent controlled burn of dangerous chemicals days after the wreck. One of the most astounding revelations from the press conference (watch below) was that the train was not classified as carrying hazardous chemicals. “I learned today from the PUCO [Public Utilities Council of Ohio] that this train was not considered a high hazardous material train,” DeWine said. As a result, the railroad was not required to notify anyone in Ohio

U.S. intelligence officials were tracking the spy balloon that was shot down earlier this month since it lifted off from the south coast of China, U.S. officials said Tuesday. According to U.S. officials, after takeoff, the spy balloon drifted east in the direction of Guam and Hawaii and then went north to Alaska and entered U.S. airspace on Jan. 28. Given the path, it's possible that the balloon was blown off course by weather, but U.S. officials said that once it came south over the continental United States, it was being controlled by China. The tracking of the balloon was first reported by The Washington Post. China has insisted

The freeway was closed as crews worked to mitigate the situation, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. University of Arizona police later tweeted that anyone within a one mile of the crash should shelter in place and turn off any air-conditioning units that bring in outside air. UA police later said the Pima County Sheriff's Department instructed all personnel at the university's Tech Park to evacuate. The Tucson Fire Department

The Biden Justice Department has a dilemma. Up until January 9, 2023, when CBS News reported that President Joe Biden had a classified documents scandal of his own, you could have bet the ranch that DOJ was poised to indict former President Donald Trump for illegally retaining national-security intelligence at his Mar-a-Lago estate. Prosecutors were getting their ducks in a row, taking the kind of steps that are only taken when the government is very serious about filing charges: appointing a special counsel, forcing former executive officials to testify before the grand jury despite potential privilege claims, aggressively litigating in the district and appellate courts to prevent Trump’s

She’s enthusiastically confident in her ability to run for president.

Kamala Harris is a living embodiment of the Peter Principle, where people keep getting promoted until they reach jobs for which they are clearly unqualified. More and more Americans think that describes our current vice president. Harris is deeply unpopular with independents, who are essential for electoral success (fewer than one in three voters view her favorably), and she is losing popularity among Democratic Party leaders. They see her ineptitude, listen to her word salads, and watch the polls with dismay.
